it's so dark outside... o.O

it's 10:59am here in hong kong atm... and.. it's as dark as nighttime outside... i'm serious! (i'd take a picture but i can't seem to mute the shutter sound... which is stupid -.-;) it looks like toronto in winter, around 4:30pm or when u first wake up in the morning before sunrise.. definitely very very scary. funny thing is that there's no rain YET, but just flashes of lightning now and then with a low scary rumbling sound... i really hope it's not 'black rain' signal when i get off work /cry

today is the beginning of the world cup! at least in a few hours it is ^-^.. thinking back, i met some of my best, closest friends during the time of the last world cup back in 2002. for those who dont' remember, it was held in korea/japan ~ i remember the late night conversations with nic, bro, eddie (aka KY), sometimes ricky, sometimes raymond... it was so funny! we'd stay up till 4am talking and to stay awake during the england game, nic and i would squeal 'beckham!!' whenever he came out.. haha.. such good times...
go-kart event, karaoke, drinks etc. such fun together... i think my university years are definitely some of the best years of my life ^-^ as well i met lg718 during that time (haha....) and he's definitely my best friend now as well.
i miss talking to everyone, and also regret that i haven't had the chance to get hold of eddie's contact in msn or his phone number! (must find kenny for that...)

i should scan the photos from then and post it here sometime hehe...

on another note.. grats to cylyna~~~ she won an award and will be receiving it at her convo ^-^ she won a 'Senate Medals for Outstanding Academic Achievement' :D so happy for her.. and proud.. she's so smart and always has been someone i counted on to teach me stuff back in hs, so i'm not TOO surprised ^-^
she's too modest and didn't really tell anyone so it's my job to tell the world xD (btw, she's an archi girl :3 all artisty but also good in every other area as well!)

thinking carefully now... i have a ton of smart ppl surrounding me (who are my close, close friends..) lg718, raven, nic and cylyna to name a few.. ^^; i guess this means that although i may not be exceptionally smart, i have ppl around me who are and who'll help me haha..

tonite i'll be going out with dondonb.. he promised to get me my bday gift of a set of studio ghibli/Hayao Miyazaki dvds (my choice xD). i was going to get him to get me a set of miffy toys but.... i'll let lg718 get that instead :3 i'm thinking of getting laputa, totoro and kiki's delivery.. some of my favorites (but i love them all~~) ^-^

it's finally weekend!!! tomorrow lg718 will be back so i can challenge him to play brain age. for those who dont' know what it is, it's a game that's developed by a japanese doctor (err.. dont' remember his name right now), and supposedly playing/completing three or more of those games each day will really improve your brain, memory, functioning etc wise~ it's a lot of fun and as i really feel i need something to help my memory.. this is great~ (recommended by michele sis and nic~~) they also have many rounds of sudoku ^-^ so lots of time can be spent on those :D

will be trying monster hunter for psp this week.. i got it a few days ago but never touched it ~_~;; i think i'm still buying too much...
