back home to canada: toronto and vancouver trip June 2009~

my trip's ended already! so fast!!!

i miss everyone (friends/family in toronto, more friends and "family" in vancouver), and especially all the beautiful sunshine, blue skies, white clouds and lovely fresh air :( it makes me want to travel again really soon haha.. i'm so tempted to do it again next year, but with more time in vancouver!!!

thanks to everyone who came out to see me and to take me around ... im' super super touched because people were taking days out of their normal schedule just to be around me and organised dinners, lunches, outings etc :D thanks you guys.. i feel SO loved!

i've posted pics here and there of what's going on in my picture book and on facebook. so please go and take a look :D some pics off of my dear man man's camera haven't been given to me yet but here's one picture of me happily doing one of my favorite things: eating icecream (i always have this silly grin on my face with icecream =_=)

to make it short, i've been having many breakfasts, lunches, afternoon teas, italian food, dim sum, niagara, taco bell, hot dog.. i'm so glad i did it all XD i also had my fair share of meeting new gfs/bfs for the first time, and also seeing OLD old friends (like mr. tuna :D) whom i hadn't seen since my first years in university!

i went to the ROM, saw sound of music with some good friends, ate lovely crepe, hugged many long-time-no-see friends and had a lot of fun just going back HOME. thanks so much~

best thing was to know that home is always home; my bedroom's the same, i can still fall asleep easily in my bed, and my driving skills are still here haha...

one thing i've really gotta start is to do my weekly picture thing.. i'll start by doing a small daily photo with my iphone (makes it easy) and a weekly dslr pic and go from there... i'll post on my blog daily just for that @.@ hope i can do it! i've named it "mr. tuna's photo challenge".. hopefully it'll push me to do more photography~

nic's visit to hk :D

My dearest wifey nic came to visit in feb, and although we didn't have many chances to see each other (stupid telephone number thing T___T), we had a ton of fun when we did get to see each other :D

i miss her so much already T____T there are just some people you meet, and no matter how far apart you are and how long you haven't seen/talked, it doesn't matter; because it stays the same :D and nic is one of many of those people :D through her, i've met even more special people and so i love her even more for that :D

i was finally able to meet mio as well! as mio fanclub president, it was embarassing not to have met the lovely mio previously. well, nic braved thru the crowds of people and finally brought her out for me to meet! and all i can say is: she's even more beautiful in person!

at tong chiu; we had a last min dinner + dessert thing :D i haven't done the (^_^)v pose in awhile (haha it's just awkward now i think.. am i getting older?!?! :P):

we then went outside for a few more pics :D without a background, we ended up taking pics standing across the street from harbourcity XDmy dear donb and i:dear don and me with mio! nic loves this pic because mio is really looking directly into the camera!! mio is soooooooo adorable here :heart: (and don is nearly smiling haha...).. excuse my wonky hand position; i was trying to keep the flap open so that mio could peer out :D
i misss you nic! come back again soon!! then we can bring mio over to my place to explore :D

silly~ don't be silly (haha your nickname!)!! i love your longggg comments and if it helps you procrastinate, even better :P if i were next to you in real life, that would be my 'duty' anyway! cut it short for the summer :D i wish u were here, we could go places and get hair done together... i hope the snow goes away for you soon and you can enjoy lovely, balmy weather like i'm starting to get in hk XD

raven~ hahah you know what? you're the ONLY friend to see my 'other hairstyle' in person before i changed it! so shhh... gotta keep it a secret! :D i'm glad you like how it is now.. i miss you so much already!! i wish you could go with me to see the laruku concert in HK but i'm still worrying that i can't get tickets or something ~_~;; you have to take me to other lives in tokyo as well!! :D miss you! will visit you soon~

Ken's visit to HK :D

super busy busy lately with random things (my wine exam.. which i hope i passed D: i seriously hope i did...) so I just realized that i didn't even post pictures from some dinners i had with dai ken when he was back!

i finally picked harry potter up on saturday.. i had this frightening image of random kids attacking me after i got it so i resisted the urge to read it the moment i got on the ferry XD it's quite exciting but... i'm shocked at few things in the beginning.. i'm not gonna say why of course but i hope the book ends well D: i'm really going to miss reading this.. it's such an easy, fun read!

trip to sanya, hainan~

I've been back for a few days and i miss the blue skies, hot sand and relaxing oceanside!

after eating a great dinner with silly and her family/friends on her birthday, she slept over at my place so that we could leave together for our trip. so...on June 30 we flew to Sanya, Hainan! as she's only working a summer job, she didn't have any annual leave so the only long weekend we had to go on holiday was the june30~july2 weekend.

as the flight times for dragonair (the only airliner that would fly to sanya from HK) were terrible and were fully booked, we decided to go to shenzhen airport to fly to sanya instead!
lets just say, it was quite an experience haha... i've never done it before and we were super early so had a lot of time on our hands~

after a short 1 hr flight (with a meal @.@;;), we landed in lovely sanya! it was raining in HK/shenzhen when we left but it wasn't in sanya :D

day 1 ~ i must tell about day 1 in detail.. haha we rented a taxi for the day (we got him to go from rmb 200 full day to rmb 100 full day haha.. all due to silly's amazing mandarin skills.. i was the '軍師' and directed/discussed with her in whispers) and went to the beautiful lan tien hot springs~ they have MANY hotsprings but our favorite has got to be the fishy one! the fishy 'kiss' your body, and is supposed to good for your skin.. lets just say it feels really ticklish and its a natural reaction to jerk your foot/arm etc away! they didn't like kissing me (they tried and then ignored me after i jerked away haha...) as they had silly to 'kiss' haha.. they ignored me while i just sat there so i took pics of selini and the fishies instead!
we had din back at the hotel and basically walked around the resort and beach at night~ ((we got upgraded from a 'normal' seaview room to a deluxe seaview room XD )

day 3 ~ relax, more ocean and beach XD and then pool time, random pictures and lounging by our favorite 'cafe', before the endless pool (as will be seen in the pictures to come)... i miss that place already :( then afterwards, fly back home :(
