emptiness

had an absolutely wonderful weekend .. i know i say that every week but this week was an exception; let me recap ...

on friday my sister and bro in law flew back after their six month stay in san jose. during that time, i watched over their house, paid bills etc and it was very very very empty and lonely ~_~ i love being alone but because they always gave me my space when they were in hk, with them away on a business trip, the house seemed waay too large and felt so empty.. i was opening all the lights in the house when they weren't here ~_~

anyway they flew back friday morning so when i woke up to go to work, i saw them! it was great; dad was there, mom was cooking breakfast, sis and bro chatting with me.. it was like we were all back in canada again :( they ALL told me not to go to work (wtf.. even my MOM told me not to lol! she's the best!) but i went anyway and regretted it because the moment i stepped out, i got splattered by rain and was soaked up to the knees ... i had to endure the wetness for whole morning till lunch when i could walk outside and have the humid air dry my pants.. what was worse was: 1. the rain stopped when i reached central (where i work) 2. the a/c in the office kept me shivering the whole time ~_~ i hate dampness..
i felt sick afterwards and kept blowing my nose so often our CFO told me to go home! lol.. after my boss went on holiday, our cfo was the 'first in command' and hearing him say 'just go home and rest..' made me leap up and shut off my computer faster than i've ever done before :P
work has been so depressing lately... i'm not doing stuff i like (mkting/client servicing.. but just not for this company .. i hate it), my good friends are mostly leaving... and sigh overall emptiness ~_~
anyway to get back to the topic, i went back home around 4pmish, which i hadn't done since i grad from school! and had a great time at home watching the finale of project runway season two (aww daniel didn't get first :( ) while waiting for my sis to get home from her facial. when she came home, the first thing we did was my favorite activity: luggage opening!!!! she had four huge suitcases and tons of presents... ^-^ awful thing was, she had to repack them afterwards cuz she was flying to europe to go on a cruise with her husband's side of the family the day after (which is tonite ; ;) so she basically only had 1.5 days in hong kong before flying again. we went out to dinner afterwards and when they came back, it was basically all packing.
when we woke up this morning (saturday) we went out to drink tea and had a LOT of fun because i saw one of my best friends since i was a kid.. i hadn't seen him in awhile becuase he was busy with his job and had moved out to live on his own so was hard to see him :( we went hoome aftewards, me sis, sis in law, bro, mom and the four of us (no, not my mom :P) ended up playing mario kart ^-^ when my bro in law got home, he joined us, and so did lg718 when he arrrived.. so the best part: six person ds party!!! mario kart was nuts because it's a lot more fun when u're bombing ur brother, sending a shell after ur sister, and watching urself race ahead of your boyfriend :P

but after a few rounds, my sis in law had to go out to pick something up, my sis had to go out for dinner with her husband's family and then leave to airport with them :( so the whole party just... broke apart.. it was kind of upsetting in a fast way because i wasn't gonna see my sis for awhile, and i found out that she might need to fly back to san jose right after the cruise because she had some unfinished work left over! augh... i hate housesitting for so long because i miss them terribly ~_~ i went out to dinner with my bro and sis in law and lg718 afterwards (we ate at those 'dai pai dong' chiu chow places.. delicious!!!) but i really felt 'empty' the whole time.. i wish we could be like this forever, a full family living together but i know it isn't possible for a long time.. ~_~ i'm not sure if ppl understand what i mean but i think it's like my childhood is back, i'm the youngest one once more and surrounded by ppl who love me tons~ but with the best part being i understand how well they treat me and cherish what they give, instead of being as rebellious as i was back in my teenage years...
i know no matter where we are, that kind of stuff wont' change, but maybe becuase i've been taking care of myself for so long, i'm getting tired .... for once i'd like to go home and shout out "i'm home!" and have someone respond and ask me how my day was ~_~ sigh.. i wonder if anyone understands...living in hk is hard in that you just dont' have those friends u have in hk.. sure u meet new friends at work etc but to me, it's not the same ~_~ i've met so many ppl but it's just that same empty feeling.. ~_~

i miss them so much now :( we're all trying to convince my mom not to leave so fast (she's leaving next next monday) but she seems set on leaving quick so that she can come back permanently (long story..). i'll miss her tons.. then when my bf's family leaves as well, i'll feel even MORE empty ~_~

augh sorry for being so angsty and emo :( i haven't felt so depressed in such a long time.. i think it comes every half year or something haha.. i'ms till me, happy and optimistic but still.. depressed in some way.. i dunno what i need ~_~ (maybe playing ffxii will be the best thing.. concentrating on a good rpg ^-^)

thank goodness for the things i have in life.. i'm so truly blessed ; ;

i had a really great weekend ^_^ aside from gettign my LOVELY cute pink marshmallow like NDS on friday, both saturday and sunday were lots of fun~ it made the weekend disappear like it never happened D:

to sum it up, i went over to lg718's house on saturday, bringing an extra NDS so that me, him and his sis could play games together! we spent most of the afternoon at his place as it was soo hot outside but went out later around 4pm to pick up his die-cast model (yet another one lol) and also to go to mong kok to shop for stuff for his sis~ on the way out of the plaza i saw the cute stuffed miffy holding a miffy doll (aww...) toy that i saw when i was with my sis in law the other day ^-^ adorable! lg718 got me the medium sized one ^_^ they had this hugeeee miffy, the same size as the two that literally share half my bed, which was really really cute as well~

my poor large yellow miffy has been with me for a few years so he's looking quite black ^^;; in the second-ish row near the old fashioned miffy is the doll lg718 got me on saturday! the orange mify holding a yellow miffy doll ^-^ the brown miffy in the front is supposed to brown so he's not especially dirty or something ^^;; the twin chinese miffys are adorable too.. maybe i'll show that later too~

after checking out a few more stores, we went back home where we had to trick his mom into going out with me and his sis so that lg718 could cook dinner as a surprise! he had refused to before (because he's the type not to show that he really cares about his family but everyone knows he does) so he wanted to surprise her ~ he baked salmon (mm with buttery taste~~~), broccoli and beef (black pepper style :D) and some other super yummy dishes~~

afterwards it was more NDS-ing and then to bed~ the next day i met my sis in law and bro for lunch~ my dad had 'flew us airplane' on the day we had booked a table to drink tea with him last minute because he decided he'd rather play golf -.-; it turned out all right tho cuz i drank tea with my sis and bro and we had another nds party, joined by my sis in law's bro later on ^-^ (hmm pretty interesting.. we're both sis in laws and we both brought our bros to play nds lol but in her case, my bro is her husband...)~ we went to wanchai to eat at outback later on with my sis in law's mom and had TONS of yummy food and a lot of fun~

i wish the weekend would last forever :( however, my mom is arriving tomorrow YAY! so i can get her to make soup for me every day ; ; and i can have a mom to whine to about a small scratch or an insect bite etc T___T i miss being able to do that to my mom~ moms ALWAYS know what to do to make it better ~!

yay i got it xD

i finally got my pink ds lite!!! yay ^-^ so glad i waited to get it like my bf told me to so i could get a colour i really love.. the pink is ADORABLE! it's the same 'marshmallow' pink that the lv reade tote came in (and that i went nuts trying to get last last year) and matches my wallet ^-^ soo happy~ the old one can finally RIP and i can pass it on to my bf till he gets the black ds.. i loveeee it~

it's sooo adorable ^-^ so glad that i rushed to sham shui po with lg718 and grabbed it.. it's worth it even tho my poor shoes got stepped on (brand new ; ;) and had a big black mark on the heel part ; ;

on a side note, i got a lot of gifts from my sis in law and brother's trip to japan ^_^ part of it was season limited snacks, clothing and my favorite: a lovely pink stuffed bunny (oops i forgot to take it in a pic with my ds...)~

^_^ best best news of all: i finally managed to get in contact with kat again!!!!! so so so so glad... my lovely sissy-chan from back in my old irc days... it seems SO long ago but yet like yesterday when we met in that weird chat room... she was the one that emailed me and tried to find me ; ; so touched... and since i got her msn and new address (omg she's married xD) we can keep chatting on forever~ i hope i can meet her soon x3

birthday weekend :D

i had a great weekend ^-^ after 'don with din' on friday, i went with lg718 to watch superman returns on saturday~ it was awesome!!! i really really like the guy they chose for the new superman because he's a perfect replica of christopher reeves but in a slightly different way~ i never really was into the superman series but i think this was a pretty good movie~ a little slow at times but i think that the action bits were pretty cool.. i mean he's superman! he can do anything and is bullet/anything proof (besides kryptonite as we all know)~ pretty entertaining i think ^-^ i can't wait to see johnny depp in pirates tho :D

the next day was lg718's bday dinner and after waking up really, really late, we decided not to go bowling at the end xD;; we had gotten donb to book a table at IFC's union bar and grill, the same place my supervisor treated me to lunch before~ it was really delicious and we had a lot of crazy fun (ie. stuffing don with tons of wet tissues haha...) ~

it's kind of dark and blurry because i took it with my phone camera and it sucks when it comes to dark places and non-natural lighting ~_~; i actually am proud of myself becuase i look ok with bangs :O (i cut my hair last saturday.. haha i totally didnt' mention it because i actually didnt' like how the hairstylist decided to cut my bangs straight across because he thought it would make me look cuter D:)

since cockroach had driven that day, we got him to drive us to causwaybay afterwards for desert at hagen daaz~~ i had this delicious brownie with cookies and cream and belgian chocolate icecream~~ soo good T___T

donb, lg718 and i went to the arcade aftewards to finish up our coins from before xD too bad i had work the next day or i'd stay a lot longer :(

i can't believe weekend is over ALREADY! augh.. i feel as if i wasted a lot of the time instead of doing something fun :( but oh well... tomorrow his sister is coming back ~ and they bought a bottle of soho back for me too! yay ^_^ i loveeee drinking soho 7 so much ; ; i can't believe they dont' sell that here... she's also bringing me my lovely mr. clean sponges so that i can finally get rid of those stains on my Kaya's headcap that prolly came from her wearing her black wig for too long.. i really gotta put them in water or something ~_~ and get her wearing her nice clothes again...

it's lg718's birthday in a few hours ^_^ can't believe four years have passed by already D:

don with din~

just came back home from dinner etc with don! or should i say don with din (errr.. long story about a typo i made in msn -____- which they wont' let me forget anyway...)~ i went to pick up stuff lg718 bought off yahoo HK from fortress hill mtr station.. i've never been past causeway bay this year so i was like "err fortress hill where IS that??" -.-; when he mentioned it hehe... afterwards we went to wanchai becuase i wanted to buy 'big brain academy' for nds... i love those mini games that supposedly help improve your brain! brain age is getting a little boring because i've already opened all the available games and the daily practice is getting repetitive~ this new game has many random mini games that are actually really quite tough to solve, especially being time limited~

anyway it was soo hot today! stifling humid air ; ; and we had to walk so far because the place that sold games was far from the MTR. we realized we went the opposite direction a little late and that meant we had to walk double the distance to get to where we wanted to... sigh -.-; when we finally arrived, i got the game for only HKD140!!! sooo cheap~ the cheapest i had seen at mong kok was for 15X dollars so this was quite a bargain~~ i love hk ^_^

afterwards we went back to causeway bay becuase that was where we were gonna meet up dinb (aka don haha)~ he didn't come at 9 like he said he would and so we ended up window shopping at island beverly till he came~ we ate at this nice japanese restaurant near the area and was able to listen to how don's trip on the silk road in china was! it sounded like quite an adventure, one i'm willing to try too but when the weather is not quite as hot and i dont' have to sweat while forced to wear long sleeved clothing~
we went to world trade plaza after to play arcade games ^_^ it was reallly fun because we went nuts as usual.. too bad the mario kart game was full the whole time ~_~ it sucked tho, becuase when we were playing one of the touch screen games, the place closed so they just pulled the electricity and we wasted three coins!!!! -.-;

overall the day was a lot of fun.. i'm terribly tired from walking all day and from waking up at 7am after sleeping at 1+ am the night before but i'm still not sleeping at 2am since it IS a friday nite hehe~ tomorrow i'll be going with lg718 to sham shui po for more pick up of auction items then we may possibly watch superman returns~~ i wish pirates of the caribbean would hurry up and start showing here but i gotta wait till august :(

a nice thing to note is that i was trying to watch zidane's only interview with a french tv show about the materazzi headbutt issue and.. i could understand what was going on!!! :O wow my french skills haven't died yet (yay) and i'm not sure if it's from writing french letters for my boss at work or what... at least i can understand 75% of the conversation and read french ^-^ so proud of myself... i just wish i can finish watching the interview because it kept buffering ~_~;; so much for 'borrowed' internet connections...

on sunday it'll be lg718's bday dinner with friends.. we'll be going bowling and dinner and stuff so it'll be tons of fun.. tuesday is lg718's bday AND also his sis and mom are coming back ^_^ yay so excited~ my sis is coming back the week after next so more gifts for me then.. mwhahah~~

phantom of the opera! :D

i went to watch phantom tonite with lg718! after years and years of waiting, i finally got to watch it for the first time myself T_T so touched~ i remember first listening to the songs when i was 6-7 and my sister went to watch it for the first time herself... she bought the piano score back and she would play them and teach me to sing the songs with her.. so i've definitely grown up with these songs... after nearly 20 years of waiting, i FINALLY get a chance to watch this lovely musical with my own eyes!
i wish the movie phantom didn't have such an ooglie voice :( it really ruined the movie for me.. but anyway..

it was amazing as expected! the theatre is not as pretty as roy thompson hall is but it was good enough ^_^ for those who haven't seen it or will in the future, i'll not spoil it but it was really really beautiful~ i was touched by the phantom as well, who i have always sympathized with... he made me have tears in my eyes at the end ; ; his voice was beautiful singing my favorite song 'music of the night' which have the most beautiful lyrics!

during the intermission, lg718 and i battled our way into line to buy one of the 300 limited phantom mask charms made by LINKS london ^_^ i'm so happy we got it (ours is 117 xD) and will treasure it forever because i'm not sure if i'll ever get a chance to see this musical again ; ; for those who haven't seen it: GO SEE IT. the movie does NOT do it justice at all!!

on a side note.. thank goodness for justice for zidane!!! i'm so glad that ppl are really realizing that zidane is not the type to headbutt his competitor without a valid reason and that fifa are actually investigating what happened between him and materazzi. although it'll not change the results of the game, at least ppl will not view him as a bad guy anymore :(

worldcup final!

well, sitting in front of comp after hours of napping to await the world cup final between france and italy! i literally started sleeping around 8-9ish untill about 12.. hopefully that'll be enough time so that i dont' die at work tomorrow XD

i'm watching the pre-show on the icable worldcup channel and it's hilarious! the hong kong guy is interviewing random fans that walk by and it's funny because the fans have no idea what the reporter is saying! and the reporter kept saying 'pasta? spagehtti? italia?' to the italian fans lol...

anyway i will be writing here constantly about this final games.. i want france to win because of zidane's retirement, but i also have been cheering for italy since i was 8 D: so.. i dunno ; ; no matter what, i trust it'll be a good game and i really hope it doenst' need to go down to penalty kicks because it isn't fair for the players that way ~_~

update:

i can't believe zidane headbutted someone.. why ~_~;; i'm still kind of puzzled because from the replays, it didn't show any kind of contact and u see zidane suddenly headbutting materazzi ~_~ i really wonder what was going on in his head :( he's such an amazing player that i'm really sad to see that he has to retire and leave the field from a red card! i suppose he was under way too much pressure so he ended up doing something that he normally wouldn't have? who knows?
but i'm glad to say that his leaving didn't affect france's gameplay at all.. they still 'owned' the game after zidane left and u could hardly tell that 10 people were playing instead of 11~ however it came down to penalty kicks and italy managed to stay calm and collected and get all five in perfectly while france missed one. i feel really sorry for france but i think italy really deserves this worldcup! they managed to chase the score to 1:1 and keep it like that till the very end ~ they worked really hard and i think this year is definitely their year~
however we'll never get to see the magical zidane in play again :/ but i'm glad he's finally retiring and getting rest from all this pressure~
but the most interesting thing is.. the ref who is looking over this france vs italy game is the same aregentina ref that gave beckham his red card, rooney his red card, and now zidane's red card o.o;;

on a side note, i got sicker becuase i didn't sleep early last nite ; ; and so i had a big fever this morning.. thank goodness for good old tylenol.. it kind of got rid of the fever and pain for me so i was able to get up in the afternoon and feel lots better.. but since no more worldcup, i'll be getting earlier rest from now on... but.. so sad.. it's over so soon! another four years till next worldcup... thank goodness for eurocup!
i finished all the medicine the doctor gave me.. i really hope it's enough to keep me healthy from now on ...

evil c ronaldo.. glad hey booed him when he walked out on the field... however i'm not sure if it's on purpose but the tv channels have a habit of playing rooney's commercial after he was red carded, and c ronaldo's commercial right after he did that provoking stunt of his... (both nike commercials are really cool but... it doesnt' make me forgive him -.-;)

on a side note, i'm so glad to be emailing j9 again! it feels like time has stopped and that we're back in highschool again... that's what i mean by true friends; no matter how long u haven't contacted each other, there is always a ton to talk about and there's never any embarassing, awkward moments with each other... she called us the 'fab five'.. i really miss them :( i need to post pics of us back in highschool and compare.. hehe

it's around 1.5 hrs till the france vs portugal game... kind of cheering in my heart for france to win because i really want zidane to have a good ending to his career and also for them to take revenge on portugal for what they did to england ~_~;; not like it was really anyone's fault but it'll make me feel better because i seriously dont' think that provoking people and winning at penalty kicks means you play better ~_~;; but anyway...

random stuff.. they're making yet another remake of the famous novel "Condor Lovers" (err i'm not sure if this is the correct title in english...) and according to what they say, it's the seventh tv remake! this time made in china~ the guy who's playing the male lead looks a lot like a mixture between "Goo tin lok" (sorry no chinese typing thing here ~_~) and "Lam Fung" which is pretty interesting~

i started searching thru youtube with lg718 for clips on some of the legendary players, such as maradona (one of our favorites, especially with that lovely 'handball' that lead to their victory.. haha), pele and my favorite roberto baggio and came up with some nice results:

well i was off on a small trip for a few days... it was pretty great.. not especially fun but i think there were parts of it that i enjoyed a lot so i think it makes up for the overall normal-ness of the trip.. if anyone gets what i mean.. lol

so tired.. feeling so strange today :( not sure why.. i think the england game is STILL nagging me but.. oh well xD;; i think i'll get over it soon when it's eurocup or something XD

ds lite is finally coming out with pink! nicole hon sent me the link (:heart:) and i knew it was worth waiting all this time instead of getting the ds lite white one a few months ago like i wanted to. i'll be keeping this old ds for ppl to play on in multiplayer games so it'll be all good :D july 20 is the japanese release date xD i can't waitttt~~~~~~~ i'll force lg718 to go to sham shui po on that day to go with me to get it like we did for our white psp >:D

but i think i need more games to play.. games that are a ton of fun playing with many ppl xD cooking mama seems fun but i'm waiting for a cheaper version ~_~;

:( i'm actually still feeling pretty down because of the england game.. not only did beckham get hurt and was switched off for lennon early but rooney was red carded.. i knew his temper would get him in trouble some day but i didn't know he'd pull a 'beckham' and actually lose his temper in the important match and kick someone in the sensitive area and get red carded ; ; he has so much potential but just needed to cool down a bit and be more patient, calm etc.. sigh.. beckham crying from the sides as he knew his team needed him wasn't helping either. i think it's not so much as whether he's the best player or not, but people like rooney and beckham are like symbolic to the team.. having their captain hurt and also someone who tends to give the team their motivation back red carded is really bad for the whole team....

i think their coach really lacked in motivating the team and getting them to really push their limits.. sigh... i hope he gets fired or resigns.. .. they really needed to have dumped him years ago...

another surprising upset is brazil! now i'm actually cheering for france as, same as beckham, this is zinedane's last game and i wanted to really see him in action.. i missed ALL his games as the france games were in the middle of the night.. so i was super glad that i managed to see them in action and cheer him on!

i'm glad italy is still there and the world cup is all fair game now...

it's been so hot these past few days .. T_T at least 32+ degrees and sticky, overly sunny and.. HOT! i really hate how u can't get away unless u stay indoors and keep the a/c on ~_~ which is what i've been doing for the past few days... it was raining when i got to work this morning and i thought it'd last longer so that it'd be a lot cooler.. but by the time i got settled in my seat at work.. the rain had stopped D:

last nite was the italy vs australia game! i've always supported italy as it was from watching the amazing roberto baggio back in the early 90s that made me interested in watching soccer, world cup etc. it was sad that because he missed his penalty kick, the coach decided not to put him on the roster for the 1998 world cup :( which really sucks because he's experience (yes old but experienced) and i mean.. even beckham missed his shot (aka, he 'beckhamed' it hahah...) before AND got red carded in the argentina game back in 1998 for a stupid action but he was forgiven and redeemed himself afterwards D:
oh well.. poor italy tho ; ;

however, back to last nite's game.. as jachy said.. italy have some exciting players but their games are almost always boring now... which sums up how it was last nite.. not much action, except when the ref gave a stupid red card to an italian player making them down to 10 men~ till the very end, when i thought 'damn i gotta stay up another half hour to watch them play.. ~_~', and suddenly a very silly aussie player decided to tackle an italian player in the penalty area! i'm not really sure what happened.. the commentator says the aussie was already on the floor and the italian (err i forget who in right now ~_~) tripped over him o.O and it was in front of the ref.. and the most important thing was: it happened ten seconds before the end of game. i'm not sure why but the ref decided to give the italians a penalty kick! maybe to end the game? maybe he thought it was a bad challenge? i dunno..
anyway... i felt so so so so so bad for totti who was gonna take it ~_~ because the weight of the whole team depended on him; either play yet again with 10 men or end the game and get thru in that one moment. i nearly couldn't watch because i was freaked out ~_~;; and luckily, as expected, he was calm and collected and got it in!! ^_^ yay for the luck of the italians!!!!!!!!

now on to france and etc games tonite....

work was pretty boring... i hate nearing month end junk :( tons to do then ~_~ however i have a lot to look forward to ^-^

i love playing my ds daily now .. it's strange how suddenly everyone is into playing it (my sis in law, sis, bro in law, ara, sub, other friends all got one near the same time o.O) .. which is great cuz i can multiplay with them , esp. honey ara :heart: it's great that it's no longer wasted like it was when i got it last year~ iv'e decided to keep the old one so that i can get more ppl to multiplay with me if i need it ^-^ i love the bubble bobble action game i got.. it's the classic version and a new age ACTION game :D not the stupid bubble type .. hehe now just waiting to get cooking momma, and some normal games like tetris etc. mario kart is so much fun D: i love playing it at the arcade but i tend to walk into all the traps lg718 sets up for me -.-;;; i think i keep buying too many games but the best part is.. all the games are FUN and don't take 198398584 years to load like my lovely psp does D:

nana game for psp coming out soon! gonna also get a few more psp games so that lg718 has more stuff to play with me /hoho~

as to what else i've been doing besides gaming and world cup i've also been emailing ppl a lot ^_^ sooo so so glad i'm talking to two of my best friends again... manman (haha cheung sister..) and micole (wife~~).. i hope we can keep those super long emails up ^_^

watching england vs ecuador right now! it's still 0:0 for 37 mins... kind of worried because it's been so.. normal so far.. nothing good coming from england either... i hope they do better.... i started watching the game late because i missed the small bus from lg718's flat and couldn't get back in time -___-.. if the game was at 9pm it would have been much better.. /cry will keep updating as i watch ^_^

THEY SCORED!!!! AT 60 MINS!!!!!!!!!! that's awesome omfg !!!! go beckham! he took this free kick near the net, and it spun beautifully right to the left side of the net and the ecuador GK just coudnt' hold onto it.. LOVELY :heart:~ nic.. me and u are right about beckham hahaha

i hope they can hang on ... the heat and all is really making it so hard ~_~

so glad for england and for beckham to get a goal in because of how tired he was and all the criticism ... :D the second half was basically subbing in lennon and downing for beckham and gerrard.. yay ^_^

owen is injured!! omg !! ; ; i'm really worried for him because he just came back from a four month injury and the coach was taking him off games earlier because of that.. and JUST when they put rooney + owen out as a lovely forward combo.. he gets hurt in the first minute of the game against sweden last nite after trying to pass the ball to ashley cole .. from what i heard, he twisted his knee and they will be scanning it on wednesday (tonite?) to see how bad it is .. thank goodness they don't have to play till sunday .. i truly hope he'll be all right soon ~_~

anyway, it was good they had a tie with sweden after all that, although they could have easily won the game ~_~.. it was 2:1 at 85 mins but they somehow let sweden gain another goal at 90 mins! bleh.. however, they still won the group and dont' have to face germany yet! seeing as germany is the host this year, it would be best to face them as late as possible~ and also they get more days of rest if they win their group as well~

la la la~

today i went to outback again with my bro and sis in law ^-^ it was really nice because we ate sooo much and had a 30% off coupon! so basically it was 240 for a 300+ meal!!! soo nice~ and we had free dessert becaus it was sis's bday (last week lolol) and had a lot of fun eating the lovely vanilla icecream + brownie dessert.. mmmmm .....

it's been soo hot these past few days ; ; around 30+ degree each day and tons of sunshine.. i really need to take kaya outside and take pics with her because she's been stuck indoors for the longest time and it's such a waste to not take pics during these lovely sunny days! i'll post those pics when i take them ^_^

i finally got my HKID on friday!! it looks.. ok.. except my face is too white because of my pale skin so i dont' really have a nose so my picture looks.. flat -______-; lg718's looked so good.. sigh.. i wish i could have done something about it.
BUT best thing is: IT LOOKS BETTER THAN MY OLD ONE! hohohoho XD that NO ONE saw lol.. so no longer will anyone know what i looked like before in my old one.. xD mwhahaha...

on a side note... crazy argentina game on friday nite.. SIX goals! they're playing pretty well and were really strong a match in last nite's game... i hope today we get to watch the same type of game for italy!!! ^_^ damn it's at 3am ;3;

tomorrow is father's day! what is everyone doing to celebrate it? my daddy's in canada so i'll be celebrating by treating lg718's dad to lunch ^-^ we'll be eating at that wonderful fusion vietnam resturant "rice paper" at harbour city tst.. it's really yummy and also has special dishes that they do not have in other places~ and the best part is that everything is really light so u dont' feel too oily/full afterwards ^_^

omg... just watching the england game now ..yes i have work tomorrow ~_~;;; and yes i know this game will run till 2am but i DON'T CARE! i have to watch this live ; ; i can't sleep not knowing how england did ~_~; besides i took a nap for this xD~ and i'm so glad they made it to halftime safely because england isn't playing so well today ~_~ people aren't watching their passes carefully, they aren't shooting carefully ~_~ beckham and terry were the ones that created the chances/saved the team ~_~
first beckham's lovely pass in for crouch... and crouch shot it wide -_________- .. the net was clear! the goal keeper was away! sigh..
beckham kept the nice corners/passes in but no one used the chance well -__- lampard and crouch.. sigh..

then came the scariest part.. trinidad were holding england so well! and got this nice shot in.. it was passing into the net, england goal keeper was out, and i was nearly crying that t&t got a goal in BUT for the amazing terry! he managed to get in behind the ball and kick it out JUST before it passed the goal line... england have a lot to thank him for.. i hope their coach really gets a good pep talk in at halftime... he was looking so pissed during the game, with his face redder and redder...

i wish nicole was here to watch with me ; ; i was telling her how it went thru msn the whole time ( i think i was distracting her at work lol) and just had to nudge her when it was 2:0.. ahhhhh ~~

had a great day on saturday ^-^ managed to watch project runway season two (my favorite favorite reality show by far...), an exciting episode because it determined who would be able to get into "olympus fashion week". they're starting to air the next season in july so this is sort of realllly out dated by it's exciting to watch anyway ^-^ daniel's by far my favorite~~
afterwards, england's game.. not too exciting but the first game where one of the teams i cheer for was playing.. so fun ^-^

on sunday went out with lg718, cat and ray.. we sang karaoke till we went crazy xD afterwards i went back to lg718's place to watch the end part of the game (netherlands i think) and eat 'siu yeh' ^-^

random worldcup thoughts..

had a normal weekend.. the only thing different was that world cup has started so it was great to have something to look forward to! the only unfortunate thing is that they have games from 9pm, 12am and 3am HK time.. and that basically means i can't watch the 12am game fully and the 3am at all ; ;
why is italy playing at 3am...

at least the japan game is on tonite! kind of looking forward to that becuase the two teams seem pretty equally 'paced'... the most exciting match so far has definitely got to be the germany vs costa rica match!! there were so many goals in the first sixteen minutes of the game! craaazy...

i'm very disappointed about italy tho :( they were the team i watched as a kid and they've always been my favorite.. amid all the scandal, i'm not sure what'll happen this year's world cup.. they kind of wind down so fast ever since the 1990s and i don't know if they'll be able to pull themselves up ... ; ;

i need nicole to talk about wc with! and cheer with... i get challenged by guys in HK about soccer, as if they think beckham's the only guy that female soccer fans know about.. -.-;; i had a friend ask me "what specific player do u think has potential this year?" and gave me this 'look' -__-; but luckily he was a good friend of mind so i just gave him a "-____________-" look lol

england has potential this year.. i think a lot of players have improved and there's always rooney.. i hope he manages to be able to come out later on for england ~_~ as well, i finally got myself an england jersey that fits... the jerseys i've been getting over the years (japan, england, italy) are all waaay too big.. especially for the england one where the smallest they had was medium, and the 'short sleeves' came past my elbows!!!! i couldnt' even wear it out ~_~ but in hk they sell teen size and woman sized jerseys ^_^ the kid-sized one in medium i fit perfectly.. i'm going for the feminine-er type look this year because i dont' want to look like i'm wearing a nightgown around anymore lol ~_~

hk, i found out, is very very into 'england' and cheering england on. i think people know them best, and also because they're the 'coolest'? i dunno.. not sure about HK people mentality even tho i live here now... not sure if i like that, but what i DO like is the hype about worldcup~ in canada the most i did was wear jersey + the flag on my car, but other people were not too excited about it.. but in HK.. people are crazy! paying money to stay up for it, going out to bars and staying out all night, and even special shuttle buses are being arranged for people to get home! maybe because not everyone is able to watch world cup at home (stupid i-cable thing that not everyone can subscribe to it..) but i think also because HK people really love soccer... and that is really really cool..

i can't wait till weekend when i can stay up and watch world cup for a longer time...

and oh.. i don't really like the mascot for this year's wc ~_~;
