:( i'm actually still feeling pretty down because of the england game.. not only did beckham get hurt and was switched off for lennon early but rooney was red carded.. i knew his temper would get him in trouble some day but i didn't know he'd pull a 'beckham' and actually lose his temper in the important match and kick someone in the sensitive area and get red carded ; ; he has so much potential but just needed to cool down a bit and be more patient, calm etc.. sigh.. beckham crying from the sides as he knew his team needed him wasn't helping either. i think it's not so much as whether he's the best player or not, but people like rooney and beckham are like symbolic to the team.. having their captain hurt and also someone who tends to give the team their motivation back red carded is really bad for the whole team....
i think their coach really lacked in motivating the team and getting them to really push their limits.. sigh... i hope he gets fired or resigns.. .. they really needed to have dumped him years ago...
another surprising upset is brazil! now i'm actually cheering for france as, same as beckham, this is zinedane's last game and i wanted to really see him in action.. i missed ALL his games as the france games were in the middle of the night.. so i was super glad that i managed to see them in action and cheer him on!
but... sigh.. ; ;
i'm glad italy is still there and the world cup is all fair game now...

hi "333", remember me...j9? ha, so funny, I was telling selina how i missed u b/c u were the only one to talk football with...i remember english class with your 'italy' shirt and my argentina jersey and how the dumb boys didn't know anything but still made fun...yes, sad the english went home, brasil a shock but the french and port's are looking for upsets...i'm a big thierry henry fan, so we'll see how he does...hehehe, have fun watching the games, we miss u here!!--j9, ("666")
