ramblings~

the weekend passes by so quickly, even for a long weekend~ today is the last day in the long weekend (i dont' even know why we have this day off really...) and already half the day is gone~
on friday i went out to cwb for dinner at this really nice japanese restaurant at the top of times square. the food was okay but i liked the seating area, with a small shade in between each table so that it felt like there was some prviacy. we went shopping a bit afterwards, where i ended up buying two scarves and a sweater/knit dress D: i love all the items but i'm feeling that there are endless items i want to buy ~_~
we found ourselves going to the arcade again after i escaped the shopping area.. but this time to the cwb one~ it was waaay different than the one at tst as there was a guard checking ID at the entrance) and it was kept a non-smoking environment. there were also a LOT of suit-wearing people in there, which was kind of funny~ the games were slightly different so it was a lot of fun as well XD i think i go to too many arcades lol...

on saturday i went out to with my bro and sis in law to shop and watch 'the prestige'. for those who haven't heard of it, hugh jackman, scarlett johannasson, and the batman begins guy (i'mso sorry, i really forgot his name ~_~)the movie seemed really interesting in the beginning but as it progressed, i kept feeling like it was lacking somewhere... it was really dark and the plot was pretty interesting, but i still feel as if they were lacking that 'pow' somewhere; you didnt' feel bored, but it was the type of movie u'd keep watching and expect something but have nothing come out of it. so i was a little disappointed. However, death note part 2 is out on nov 3 (yay), and i can watch tales of earthsea soon! reallly excited about all that :D
we went shopping afterwards, and i bought a nice pair of dress "shorts". it's hard to explain but they're the type of shorts that are cut like dress pants so hopefully i can wear these to work with boots and it'll be fine... i've been trying to change my work look as i really hate wearing lacy, dressy, feminine work stuff (passed on from my sister D: i didn't have any 'work' clothes before, as i wore a uniform for my previous job), and hate how i want to change out of it when i get off work each day~

today (monday), my sis finally got back from her super long business trip to san jose~! she got me this really cute scarf from burberry at the LA airport when she was switching flights, and also a ton of abercrombie stuff for everyone else. from what i hear, abercrombie seems to be a lot more expensive in toronto than in the US.. but the cut is great and makes every guy look broad and toned~ i really love the cutting! and the materials are really nice as well~ :D too bad i dont' wear sporty stuff often or i'd love their stuff x3
my dad is flying back later today @.@;; so suddenly the house goes from empty to full~ which is nice.. i hope i'll be getting used to it easily.. D:

i'm finally on the last chapter of phoenix wright XD it's so much fun, even though i know that it's really more like a detective game than a lawyer one~ i haven't been playing it often as there are so many other new games (children of mana XD yay~ i'm so glad i have it now) that i got distracted~
children of mana is so fun too... they hvae a multiplayer function, where u can work with other ppl to kill a common boss.. now THAT will be lots of fun~ it's like legend of zelda type gameplay/interface/weapons but a whole different storyline~

ffxii is out tomorrow (english version)! finally! i haven't been obsessing over a ff game in such a long time, ever since ffxi (which doenst' count as it was an mmorpg), and i miss it so much~ i was really disappointed in the gameplay for ffx-2 so it feels like it's been a LONG time since a new ff~ then they'll be releasing the other FF games on nds and psp... soo much to play~ x3

i can't believe it's monday D:

it's tuesday! i can't believe monday went by without me writing an entry about my weekend @.@ maybe because we were all so busy yesterday that time went by really, really fast~

on friday i went out with din and etc as usual~ i feel kind of bad now because i was complaining about how hot it was XD;; i met him at tst, and we ate that 'dynasty of sweet' (i actually forget what they call it in english, dynasty of something) where we usually eat for dessert~ they have pretty good snacking type foods so we just ordered a bunch of stuff and had a lot of fun~ i just hate how small their booths are -.-;
afterwards we went to play that arcade game din as looking forward to all week haha... i managed to beat him this time! the game is like a race between two policemen~ and basically there's a point in the mission u gotta reach before your teammate does, and based on how well u did (whether u shot any civilians or died or anything), u can get a promotion or whatever~ i managed to beat din and become his boss (/hoho~~) and got to choose the next missions~ lots of fun~
we went to mk later and then din and i wanted to eat dessert and ended up at the top of langham place~ we actually managed to chat till langham place closed @.@;; i've never did that before~

the next day lg718 came back (yay!) so we went out to mk to pick up his die-cast model (the getter 2?) ~ i was going to buy some comic books (the ouran host club ones) but decided not to at the last minute xD;; later that night we watched matrix 3, which i've never seen and had borrowed from my bro for... nearly half a year (damn i do that to both my 'brothers' D:.. first big ken, and now my own bro hahah...) and hadn't watched it till that night... it was... mediocre.. i just wished matrix had ended at the first movie -.-;
any movies that recently came out on dvd that people recommend? and i dont mean da vinci code -.-;
i went with lg718 and waited for him while he had his hair cut :D i look so tired...


tale of earthsea/GED is coming out on the 26th!!! yay~ i can't wait! it's been about a year since i watched howl so i'm excited to see another miyazaki movie. for those who don't know what i'm doing about, go here~

invisibility cloak @.@;;

wow, i'd never thought it was possible! scientists have actually successfully cloak a copper cylinder using the 'invisibility cloak' they created! apparently, it was done like a mirage, where heat causes the bending of light rays that cloak the path ahead behind an image of the sky~ so basically they created an 'artificial mirage'!
the first working cloak was made of metamaterials, which are mixtures of metal and circuit board materials such as ceramic, Teflon or fiber composite, but tends to give off a slight shadow. just.. wow..

a non-profit Swiss organization, new7wonders, has organized a voting for the new seven wonders of the world! the ancient seven wonders of the world include the Hanging Gardens of Babylon; the Statue of Zeus at Olympia; the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus; the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus; the Colossus of Rhodes and the Lighthouse of Alexandria, with only one of those ancient wonders still existing today~
the new7wonders promotes the preservation, restoration and promotion of monuments, which is why they created the chance for people all around the world to vote for what they think is the new seven wonders :D they've narrowed it down to 21 choices, and by a simple registration process, you can vote too~ the voting will end on July 7, 2007 (777 @.@) and the results will be announced then~

well i was off to a pretty good start on friday, considering i had done all my work before 12 and was sitting around, waiting for people to give me work or for them to finish their part before i could do mine...
however, towards the end of the day when i was planning to leave, i noticed my friend's seat was empty @.@ by friend i mean a colleague of mine who i get along with VERY well, the type of 'fresh', straight to the point, really fun-type who doesn't feel like she's much older than me, and who u can just bring along with u to any party, dinner etc and she'd be able to fit in with your friends perfectly. anyway, when she DID appear, it was from her boss' room and she started cleaning up her desk and handing me her stuff... and then i was hit with something: did she just resign?! @.@ we were planning to stay here till at least end of the year but did she snap and resign? well i got my answer when i left and called her.. it turns out they fired her... ~_~; why am i surprised? because they didn't fire someone else when they were late to work, early to leave, early to get to lunch and late to come back, didn't do their work, played solitaire and listened to her Ipod during office hours, fought with the boss, generally a bi*ch when it was uncalled for etc. so i'm really shocked... all they did in the case of the previous person i described was give her two warning letters and she eventually found a better job and quit. what is going on in their minds?!?!
sigh so.. i'm pretty upset about this. i understand its part of of the job and i've seen it happen in my previous job as well, but if u know what's been going on, how her boss is personally biased towards her and what's going on thru her life and her job attitude, u'll see i'm definitely not the biased one when i say it's an unfair thing to do :/ right now, i see her manager rummaging around her binders on her empty desk, clueless as to what to do but with their boss on leave, he's not gonna get much help...but. not my problem~ i really will miss our lunches together and how we'd go crazy at work just so that we didnt take the stress too deeply.. ~_~ sigh...

the rest of the friday was pretty fun, having ate dinner with don and going to the arcade and chatting at starbucks for a few hrs after.
on saturday i spent the day with lg718, mostly napping and watching xmen3~ i went to dinner with my bro the next day and watched tv with lg718 afterwards, relaxing. the new episodes, the male version, of that cookign show where they get celebrities to cook is airing now! it's really funny but i sometimes wonder if it's all exaggerrated ~_~;;

sigh D: monday already......

feeling blue =.=

feeling kind of blue lately ~_~ not exactly sure why but just some strong feeling of 'grey-ness' in general =.=.. nothing is really going right and i'm constantly bugged by this feeling that something's wrong and there's just something to be upset about ~_~ what is happening?!
one interesting thing is that a lot of ppl i know are feeling the same way i am lately.. or at least similar feelings.. ara's grey so i guess i'm glad i can 'pui' her and be blue x3 i'm so silly in a stupid way =.=;
maybe it's the fall/october-ish feeling that's making me like this.. i dont' remember what it was like last year which is good so I dont' need to compare either ~_~ i find that there's not much that makes me really excited anymore. shopping, eating etc are all the same ~_~ gah~ i need to get out of this mood!

looooong weekend~~ xD

well for once my post has a 'loooong' in front of it :D first long weekend after endless 'dry' no red day months D: i had a niceeee relaxing long weekend~ and best of all, long weekends make the current week shorter~~ yay! and mid-autumn/moon festival coming up so it'll be nice and pleasant :D

friday was amazing.. i just couldn't wait to get off work.. the sun was shining brightly, i was wearing the lovely one piece black dress i got from IT and all and i just felt wonderful all over ~ in fact i managed to keep myself the whole day and enjoy doing my work for once lol.. after work i met up with lg718 and dinb and had dinner (damn i actually forget where we ate.... wtf) and then went to shop a bit and had a drink~ we found this really ... funny ornament on the wall then.. it seemed liek a super tiny deer but it turns out to be a rabbit with antlers fashioned on it's head haha...which u can see here:


on saturday we just spent a slow day shopping around in tst and just overall relaxing. we had a lovely dinner at this chiu chow restaurant near where lg718 lives and took a long walk back home around the seaside. i love his flat! it's situated right at the edge of the seaside and overlooks into this nice view of hong kong island~ i love love love how u reach the lobby of his tower, go out and the seaside is right there; right in his backyard~ the wind was nice and cool and as they had a few light displays on for moon festival we attempted to take pics in the dark~ sigh.. up to now i'm still wondering how other owners of the 903sh manage to take such sharp, clear pics at nighttime -.-;

even though i'm 99% sure your real name isn't dorcas, i wanted to clarify that we were talking about "interesting names" (such as "talent", "hippo", "tomorrow", "gucci" (someone actually i called that D: so not the brand ...), "Shark"..... etc etc the list went on), and it just sounded similar to ... that word, and not that whoever is named that is dorky D:

shopping~~

well weekend is not yet over but i've done quite a lot D: shopping wise~ i realized the biggest factor that leads to shopping is... boredom D: and when u're waiting for time to pass by!!

on friday my family and i were planning to eat dinner at 香港老飯店 after work. as everyone had stuff to do (mom was at her new flat, bro was at a meeting, mic sis went to see doctor, lg718 in fukin, bro in law somewhere, sis in the states) i was left alone, off early for once and NO WHERE TO GO ~_~ that's the worst thing! to be off work early, as both my supervisor AND my boss weren't there that day, and not be able to go anywhere. so, i decided to go to to tst alone, and see what i could to use up the 1-1.5 hrs i had before dinner at miramar plaza.
let me tell u.. that place is evil D:
not only are there great (and expensive x3) restaurants there but they have my favorite shops too :( i spent time in just two stores: b+ab and i.t. as lg718 always said, i can never come out of b+ab without some purchases, and that's just what happened! i got a new dress 'shirt' (it's like a dress but it can be worn over jeans as well) in a beautiful shiny black material, and also this lovely white turtleneck long sleeved, long shirt. i was safe in i.t. however and came out emptyhanded.

however, i was not 'safe' from it for long..

today (saturday) i went to the airport with my bro in law, bro and mic sis to send mom off to toronto and had a nice lunch with her at maxim restaurant. as her gate was really far, my mom had to go in early, and after a quick goodbye my mom went in D: i miss her so much!! ; ;
the four of us decided to take a bus to mong kok afterwards, where bro in law was gonna go do his own stuff, mic sis go home to nap, and bro and i to amuse ourselves~ on the way there, we played tetris together! it was sooo funny and fun~ if only i wasn't getting motion sickness i swear i could have played better ~_~ i'm so glad i have these siblings haha...
to make a long story short, my bro went off to watch DOA (YES.. he actually WANTED to watch that movie.. omg. D: his comments? well, he said that if you have absolutely ZERO expectations when watching it, it's actually quite good lol.. that's.. terrible..) with a friend and told me to walk around langham place for awhile to wait till his movie ended and then we'd go to dinner.. that was a big mistake D: the movie was less than 2 hrs long.. but i ended up going into IT and buying this lovely black dress (the simple, clothy type that i ALWAYS wanted)... i'm really happy about it but sigh.. see? it happened again ~_~;

bro went with me to the computer center after his movie where i got a lovely pink 2.5 inch harddisk that i always wanted and needed (too many anime and songs D:). i love it! it was such a great deal ^-^ we went to eat at spaghetti house with mic sis afterwards and i went back up to their flat to watch the incredibles with my bro. he had set up his tv so that he uses a computer to play his dvds and it's absolutely GORGEOUS.. you could see the water on their shirts, the material it was made of .. and it was a cartoon @.@; wow...
but i'm rambling.

now for some pictures. there was this fossil/bone display of dinosaurs at olympic center/mall/plaza :D (whatever it's called haha) and i took a far off pic of part of the display as there were waaay too many people and i couldn't get close ~_~

i'm really very much in awe of dinosaur fossils.. to imagine that suck large beasts lived many millions of years ago is amazing~ i really would love to see an actual full display someday ^_^ and also visit ancient cities, pyramids and see mummies etc.. just.. wow :O

well tomorrow will be my rest day, where i can just lounge around at home and read, play games, sleep and watch tv; something i haven't done for a few months ~_~ i have a stack of books/comics to read (naruto xD, the chronicles, the last book in the latest anthology by terry brooks, the comic books lent to me by mic sis, the rest of the agatha christie anthology, and the random manga i have scattered around)

i'm such a book worm.. /blush :P
i really hope this lovely breezy weather keeps up as well~~ hk is sooo perfect lately to me haha...

PS: i forgot to add, i made this stupid mistake at dinner time on friday.. we were discussing how someone was actually named "Dorcas" (wtf.. dork-us..?).. and mic sis had asked me what "dork" meant.. and i meant to say "ngong gui".. but i instead blurted out "ngong.. ngong '9' " @.@ '9' as in .... some.. swear word/body part thingie ~_~ i think it all comes from listening to people around me say that word D: i dont' swear (in chinese) at all, but i think my subconcious had been storing those words for a LONG time (thanks dinb! :P) and i blurted it out when i got close to that word.. thank goodness my mom just laughed ... but so embarassing!! they'll never let me forget it @.@

天下無不散的宴席....

random weekend recap!! i better type this all out before i forget xD

on friday night i met up with donb at festival walk where he went home and helped me package my mikael ; ; thanks to lovely bubble wrap given to me by cat and also some DHL boxes i got from work, we managed to mummify him in no time~ however, when we got to lg718's place (he was gonna mail him off), it started POURING; and i mean the "no matter how large your umbrella is, you'll get wet" type pouring rain D:.. we managed to lug the stuff up to his flat but i was soaked by that time ; ; worst of luck ~_~ afterward we went to eat at "Ding Tai Fung" and talked for a LONG time... mostly about what we should do on sunday~

on saturday i went to drink tea with my family at olympic station~ i went with my bro and mic sis to see "the devil wears prada' afterwards, which i really enjoyed. the clothing was amazing!!! i liked all the clothing anne hathaway wore ~~ and it was really short and to the point.. i was surprised it wasn't even 2 hrs long :D
i went with bro to MK afterwards and met up with lg718. we wandered around mk till dinnertime (mic sis was getting haircut) and ate din together~ mainly a really pleasant, slow, normal day~
on sunday i met up with lg718 and went with my family to look at my mom's new flat! it's located in "ho man tin" area and is really new and beautiful. (pics taken by my lovely mic sis)

the living room (quite spacious; we were surprised that the actual living space is not as bad as other new flats in hong kong.. it seems like u can get at least 80% back :O)

my mom's flat is on the 32 floor and it was reallllllly nice and spacious~ the only thing i have to complain about (well two things) is that when we opened the door, we found a DEAD cockroach welcoming us D: one of the real estate people kicked it outside afterwards.. D: and second thing is that there are too many roads around the flat, which you could see if you looked out the window~
lg718 and i left for tst mtr station afterwards to meet up wtih donb, small b, and jordan and ate afternoon tea with them (and rhoda). it was supposed to be a farewell party but it ended up being cancelled (the girl we were farewell-ing wasn' free xD;;) but we went out anyway. we went to play video games after at the arcade (ex- rhoad and her bf) and had a LOT of fun... i wish mario kart would let more ppl play instead of two ppl vs each other D:... i wasted a lot of money trying to play with donb at this fighter plane shooting action game, as i found out i SUCK at dodging bullets :( i wanted to try a ton of other games but there were way too many people~
we went to eat hot pot afterwards and went crazy.. (such as throwing food on dinb's bowl etc etc xD) well at least i had a lot of fun laughing that nite~ x3
lg718, dinb and i went to eat dessert at harbourcity again and just chatted about random stuff.. we hadnt' done that in awhile and i was about to continue with them and walk around the seaside after, but it was late so i went home first while they continued~

weekends pass by so fast :( but sigh... even tho it always makes me a little.. sad whenever the end of the party/day comes, i have to be reminded of the title of my blog entry: 天下無不散的宴席

i just came back from a nice lunch with ray and cat~~~ we drank tea at our usual place but it was kind of sad because we learnt that ray will be leaving our company soon and so our gatherings will be fewer :( i think because us three went into the company around the same time and got to know each other then that we end up becoming so close~ i wish him all the best thought, of course, but will definitely miss him treating me to icecream/sundaes whenever he's free for lunch /cry~ (he's also the one that installed msn for me at work lol.. xD)

current mood: aii.. ~ everyone's leaving :(

well.. i sold mikael.. or rather my DOT Sha D: I found that I hardly took him out or anything and that having Kaya was enough for now~ i think i'll get a breakaway or vampire el or something from Luts someday, but at the moment, i think i have enough to 'play with' ...

i seriously hope the home he goes to is a good one and the girl doenst' abuse him or does a scary faceup on him or anything.. ~_~ she sounds really excited about it so at least that's a good thing.. goodbye sha T_____________T

recently lots of ppl are getting married~ this is mostly because the year of the monkey was "bad year" for marriage, year of the chicken had too few 'good days' and so the year of the dog (current year) is more suitable for marriage for many ppl~ (i know this stuff because I used to work at a chinese shop that required that type of knowledge -.-;)
and so, i was talking to mic sis and she explained how, in Hong Kong marriage customs, if people send you an invitation you have to send a gift (item or money.. but money's easier haha) regardless if you actually attend or not.. /sweat -.-; so dinb got a few invitations.. one coming from a primary school friend who he hadn't kept in contact with for 10+ years but who suddenly contacts him about a wedding... mic sis says that's normal in HK and the invitations that are received are nicknamed "red bombs" because of that!
haha so far no bombs for me yet... but i can imagine who they'll come from first ... xP

current mood: happy, wandering mind (it IS friday x3)

feels like fall :3

today i'm having my first pilates plus class~ this time it's the same instructor as my previous pilates class except we're learning a combo of pilates + yoga ~ it'll start from today (every monday) till december from 8-9:30~ and seeing that it's 1.5 hrs, i reallly think i'm getting a good deal here. not only are there only around 8-10 ppl per class but the instructor always takes his time to correct each person's positions and to ensure the class knows right from wrong~ i'm looking forward to it!

i bought lots of stuff that i've always wanted on the weekend!
1. slim suede-like brown belt (it's skinnier than those chunky normal sized ones that look great on everyone else but me)~
2. pearl chunky-ish necklace (i've always wanted a necklace :D mic sis got the black one)
3. another pair of ballerina flats! in black with some sequins on it ^-^ it looks soo adorable~ but unfortunately it's going to be raining this week yet AGAIN.. so i can't wear it again :(

we drank tea on saturday at this really good restaurant in harbourcity then went shopping afterwards~ overall it was a great shopping day but i realize how much i'm buying D: and how much more i want!
i want:

1. long boots (black or brown) with a square heel
2. white trench coat (burberry /cry) or white cashmere coat
3. new phone (i think N73 or that other nokia phone in the amour line)

it's been so beautiful (weather wise) lately! cool and breezy with sunshine and no rain :D i wish it would stay like this forever but as mic sis reminded me, it'll get back to normal and hot soon :(

must remember to get that leather spray after work *_*;

after class:

well of course i ended up going to class but... oh gosh i'm sooooo sore! as i stated before, it's pilates PLUS, but it's not yoga, it's a mixture of yoga and other body training stuff (fundamentals?) and wow.. it's hard.. our instructor was doing that hard position that i couldn't do in pilates a few months ago and.. damn it hurt haha.. so tired ~_~ i hope i do better next class D: but i definitely feel worked out haha... i love pilates!

suri :D

one of the cutest babies of the year: suri cruise. she's absolutely adorable! look at the pic from the cover of the next vanity fair:














she looks like an asian mix with that lovely patch of dark brown hair and those beautiful light (blue? gray?) coloured eyes! at four months, u can see she resembles katie a lot but i think she'll grow up and everyone will see how she's tom cruise's kid as well... i love the pics! what i would like now is to see pics of angelina and brad's baby again... becuase she's a bit older now and should look even cuter :D

i wanted to see the rest of the pics so badly i told my sis to get the next VF just to have the pics ^^;;

to get off topic right away: well they finally admitted that they weren't going to be using aoi as hachi in nana 2 :( now i'm reallllly disappointed about that becuase i love her! she's adorable and fits into the role of hachi so well u dont' think of her as aoi but as hachi... and when u see her modelling in ads or in magazines, u're thinking "wow, i totally forgot she's actually a model and not like hachi all the time..." which is really cool..

just wanted to make a random rant about it because i was told my many ppl that i resemble hachi in real life :( not in looks but in the general personality.. i'm not sure if it's a good thing tho -.-; and i was told this by random ppl who watched the movie at different times D:

anyway for those who have NO IDEA what the heck i'm talking about, go watch Nana the movie! now that i've seen deathnote, i like the guy being shin a lot more.. but he needs to become cuter D:

back on this blog entry's topic:... my mom's back! she'll be here for a month or so, which is fantastic as i get home cooked food and motherly love~ u know how there's always that cliche u see in movies where moms are the 'healers', the caregivers etc? well, i look at myself and find when my mom is around me, i do fall into the "MOM! help!" thing: as in whenever something happens (whether it be me getting hurt, cut, sick, or my pants are stained, need some sort of quick fix, or if i'm hungry, hot, cold, bored, etc) the first thing i do is yell "MOM". in fact my sister does that too.. yes, my big smart lawyer of a sister does that as well.
that's why i love moms.. no matter how scatterbrained, or outfashioned or how they do the silliest things, it all boils down to one thing: they can solve whatever problem u have on hand and make it all better.
oh and for those curious as to why i suddenly have this revelation.. i got these awful bites on my legs from the weekend (augh dont' ask. i just hate where i live.. two mins of waiting outside and i got bitten.. badly..) that made both my legs swollen. the humidity and heat in hong kong just made it worse and it was so painful and itchy that i was going insane ~_~ nothing i did stopped it, not even the all powerful calamine lotion D: at the end, my mom flew back, i whined and she produce some sort of cream to put on my legs and.. presto: the itchiness is gone and i'm definite it's healing.
wow. just.. wow..
i've been allergic to medicines, creams, food ALL MY LIFE so i really know what horrible itchiness is like.. i can ignore most but this time, it was too horrible but...my mom just cured it.. ^-^ and did i mention she cooks for me and does all the chores unconditionally? D:

so.. for those who are lucky enough to still live with or near your mom, please try to cherish them no matter how silly, worrying, annoying etc they may seem to be.. they're truly one of the few ppl who would even care if u 're well fed or if u were healthy and will do anything they can to help u!!

sorry.. i'm in such a better mood i'm doing a mom rant.. haha so sorry for those who actually read my blog (i really thank you all) and were looking forward to something else D:

september~~

it's september!! it seems like it's supposed to mean something special but i'm constantly reminded that when u start work, spring/ summer/fall/winter all mean the same thing: u have to go to work regardless-.-; sigh~ i guess my body is just 'tuned' to the feeling of expectation that u get when u start a new school year! this may sound weird but i really, really miss school D: it doesn't help that the weather in hong kong is ALWAYS THE SAME; hot 70% of the year with the rest being a bit cooler. there's not even summer to look forward to like in toronto because it's so long and humid here.. ~_~; as well, i used to fly back to hk and get new pencils, cases, etc and get ready for school but now that there's even MORE interesting items for school, i realize that i.. don't.. need it D: i haven't even written anything with my hands in awhile (i'm serious.. aside from the occasional birthday card, i swear i dont' know how to write anymore ; ;) and i realllly miss that feeling sometimes. especially my university years ~_~ those were DEFINITELY the best.

to recap the weekend, i'm sure everyone had a jam-packed happy "last weekend before summer's over D:"~ it was my bro's bday on friday and we had a great dinner at Outback in causeway bay.. so much laughter!

on saturday, i went out with lg718 to do some random errands and was debating whether or not to switch phones and decided not to at the end (tho my bro is STILL tempting me to buy the N73 ~_~;;). we went to the grasshopper concert at night and... it was awesome. absolutely awesome. there was soo much fun music and dancing.. and it was great that everyone was so hyped! i've never danced at a concert before but i really had a great time doing so this time. many of u are probably going "wth is 'grasshopper'?!?"... well.. i was exposed to their music back in the late 80s/early to mid 90s because my sister was a huge fan of theirs.. and i happen to know how to sing about 80% of their songs because she used to play them every single day/night when we were kids.. D: omg ~_~;;
well anyhow.. it's becuase of her that i ended up going to their concert (it was me, mic sis, bro, and my sis) and had a wonderful time ^-^ however, i noticed that the ppl there were all pretty old... i guess their fanbase is getting really old haha we were some of the few younger fans that were there haha..
my favorite part again was when they sang the 'everybody's favorite' song "Lonely". whoever wrote that song is amazing because although it's at least 10+ years old, but it's still really great to sing along with and listen to~ that was the part when everyone was standing up and waving whatever they had in their hands in unison~ this time, the plastic bag/stick thingies they gave us to blowup and use to hit together for noise broke soo easily.. in fact, we had eight (two per person) and ended up with two and a half D: i remember the last ones not being so fragile....

after the concert ended, we all headed back home.. it was over waay too fast ~_~ i keep thinking it needs to be longer but we were up on our feet dancing nonstop for at least an hour or more so.. so it probably seemed to go by faster ^-^

my sis left sunday afternoon for her business trip to the states :( so i went out with lg718 to tst and we got our hair cut together at our favorite japanese hair salon~ i just got my hair trimmed but i kept playing with the idea of getting another perm (this time closer to the top of my head because the last perm i had started below my ears) and cutting my hair shoulder length into a nice semi wavy style... miki, our stylist, had that type of hairstyle and i loved it! but.. maybe i should keep it long.. "kiipu rongu!" as she kept saying (it took me awhile to realize she wasn't speaking in japanese but in english lol).

everyone's on a business trip :( lg718 and my sis.. and i have to wait till wednesday for my mom to be back as well.. sigh...

listening to jay chou's newest album right now! it's supposed to be out on sept 8th but somehow mic sis got a hold of a copy of it! it's nice.. i like it so far! but i guess i'm biased towards him.. i'll definitely buy the album when it's out...~ cuz i'm a sucker for his music like that D: it's called "依然范特西"~ everyone go listen to it when it's out ^-^

current mood: why is it monday already!!!

end of summer D:

had a fun (long?) weekend with my family yet again~ on saturday i went to harbour city and ate lunch with lg718 and his family~ i loveee eating at california pizza kitchen (chicken?!) but unfortunately, their pasta oven was having trouble and so i couldnt' order my favorite penne D: however, we had two lovely pizzas and some delicious tortillas ^-^
afterwards, we shopped around harbour city where i ended up trying and trying on ballerina flats at lcx and the stores in that area, without success. i already have a pair that are in a nice lavendar colour but i was hoping to get another pair so that i could wear them alternately and neither would be worn out.. but i have waaaay too many shoes D: the thing with HK is that they have the loveliest shoes but the worst condition to wear them in (ie. females have to walk a lot so you need a pair that aren't too high or u get blisters, it rains so often that anything pretty will be ruined if u dont' check weather beforehand, and people in HK are generally rude and i've actually had ppl step on me so hard that my sandals broke D:)~ i've settled down to wearing low, around 1/2~1 inch heels, either with a round or pointy tip~ and mostly from b+ab, my favorite store~
afterwards i hung around page one while waiting for my sis to come (lg718 had to leave earlier to eat with his relatives) and managed to read half of "dragons of winter night"~ i love this series! or at least the first original six books of this large series. i'm so glad sis bought the anthology so we could have a collection of the books in hk for forever...
anyway when my sis came, we shopped around and had dinner at strawberry forever cafe~

on saturday i went to drink tea with my sis and her husband's family~ we then went to a department store ("wing on" department store in jordan for anyone curious hehe) where she bought one of those fancy new 'all in one' electric er.. pot? i'm not sure what to call it but it allows you to bake cakes, cook rice, make yummy chinese soup etc without having to watch it carefully because the appliance adjusts the timing, heat etc when it's baking so that you can go ahead and do other things. my sis had been wanting one for the longgggest time as it allows her to concentrate on other stuff while the soup (which usually takes the longest and needs to be looked after most) is being cooked (?) ~
i went with her to get some groceries afterwards because my bro and his wife were coming for dinner that nite to play some games *_* we got a TON of snacks (yummy wasabi chips :3~~~ ) and lots of ingredients for dinner~ it was a lot of fun to help her cook and to play games with my bro/sis etc afterwards! i think we enjoy these sunday gatherings a lot because we're getting a bit older but the sense of being a kid has never changed. maybe because we're closer now (age difference isn't making much difference now?) and i dont' get to see them as much~

lg718's sis and mom went back to toronto last nite ; ; sooo boring without them now~ lg718 and i went shopping at nighttime (yet again at harbourcity ~_~;;) and i helped my sis get a YSL bag and lg718 and i also got similar leather bracelets from BV.





that's the one i got in black ^-^. lg718 got a black one with two 'belt' buckles instead of the ball of leather like mine. it's adorable! and it fits my wrist perfectly without being annoying! it turns out that it was cheaper than i thought too.. o.o either they're lowering their prices or i got their prices messed up...

on a different topic: my sis in law got a new phone recently, the N73 from nokia, because she wanted a new phone (we happened to get the same phone around the same time xD our phone is not quite a year old yet but it feels like we've used it forever! ) and also because the phone she was using (and i'm still using), the 903sh, is still worth 2.5k! i hope the price stays the same when i find the right phone to get ~_~




that's the N73 by Nokia right there.. it looks.. blah.. but according to my mic sis (ms. sis in law of mine), the phone has a lovely photo viewing program and is very very customizable. and the camera is really good too... however.. the colours.. and looks.. o.o;

any suggestions? but after the lovely 3.2mp camera on my current phone.. nothing is the same D:

sigh.. a week more till i can get my muse bag back from ysl /cry~ they're fixing the buckle and it'll take awhile :(

but.. if there was a final fantasy painting, i bet lg718 would try to get it haha...



my bag D: i gave in.. actually more like 'caved in' and got it D: i love it! it's a lovely milk chocolate colour and soo roomy~ it's heavy but feels light when i put it on my shoulder~ and the price was soo good~~ cheap ^-^ and i took it next to my new gray miffy "jumping over moon" stuffed toy given to me by lg718 ^-^ so cute~~~
