17th - had a lovely home cooked dinner (yay for cold crab!! :D~~), then went out to a small flower market to buy flowers and food with lg718 :D we had tons of fun selecting random flowers to bring home~ we stayed at home for the count down as well (to cny) and had some snacks and lovely chiu chow tea afterwards~

my favorite is that purple ball-ish flower.. so adorable :D
my sis also happened to go to the larger flower market in cwb and bought the candy blow up toy that i kept seeing from tv! it's adorable XD she bought the large watermelon one (i wanted the strawberry one D: .. but it's ok XD).. it's HUGE...

18th - chinese new year!! as part of HK tradition, i had purchased a new coat and a whole outfit to wear for the first day of the new year (from head to toe XD). however, the weather was abnormally warm (around 25 degrees omg) so i ended up wearing this other outfit i had planned to wear later in the springtime, a cute short sleeved one piece gray dress :D
i had a nice lunchtime tea with my sis' husband's relatives and then went to shop around with lg718.. we went home afterwards and then visited his aunt and had dinner there too.. they then came over afterwards and played cards till late XD

19th - second day of the new year, i stayed home in the morning because i had slept late the day before and we ended up watching this chinese movie ( it's kinda blah.. not too good)... afterwards i went to 'bai lin' at my great aunt's house (wow she's amazing.. she's in her nineties but very healthy and alart...) and i had a really good time.. this year my bro in law went for the first time and we had a LOT of laughs (especially considering how my bro in law is quite frank when speaking /sweat/.. there was an adorable toy poodle there that looked like a big bear! i was wearing white so i got micsis and my bro 'to borrow' her from the owner to play with for a bit.. her/his name is "piggy" (ju jai) and was such a good puppy we didn't want to give her back XD she didn't bark or get overly scared from strangers holding her! we managed to take some cute pics of her :D

20th - third day of CNY.. basically woke up early to drink tea with lg718's family and spent the whole day at his place playing mj/card games XD i also played a bit of MJ on my nds and managed to go from level four, to getting three orbs into 'green dragon' level! that's raising about five and a half levels @.@;; it all came from this one east round of mj, where i got the largest (i have no idea what i did really.. i gotta post the name of what i put together) amount possible.. 48,000 @.@;; i basically won the round second game into the round @.@;; craaazy~

21st - back to work today ~_~ but.. i got a few red pockets from my coworkers and boss! so all is happy~ will post a picture of my "victories" later mwahah~ like i wrote in nic's blog, i feel like i really 發過豬頭 because even though not all of the red pockets contain a LOT of money, i received a lot of them, so all those envelopes make me feel good ~ xD

happy belated valentines!!

Happy belated valentines day!

i just got my bonus today so i'm giddy with joy~ it was pretty much what i expected to get and it's even better to get the actual cheque and see it for real :D

i get off work at around 4pm today too so even better! and Chinese New Year is coming up (18th!) and i get monday and tuesday off~

so far soo good~

anyway.. how did i spend my valentines day? well i had made gifts for my collegues and lg718 and close friends the day before and brought it all to work :D i should have taken a picture of the cute pink and white boxes with the chocolates inside to show off but.. i forgot ~_~;; however, i'm so glad that my colleagues loved the idea, loved the chocolates and really enjoyed getting a gift on that day :D i had taken some winnie the pooh valentines from my sis (she bought them in the US for her friend's kid ._.;;;) and wrote msgs and gave them along with the chocolates :D i even had comments such as "omg! i can't believe you made this !!! it was delicious!" and also "those (meaning the box + chocolate) are soo expensive..." by a passing colleague who saw the gift i gave to my other collegue :O (i forgot to make them some too ._.;;)
lg718's gift turned out nicely too and he finished them really quickly :D (he unwrapped it before i took a pic D:)

i got off work around 6:15 and met up with lg718 at p&s to buy food for dinner XD basically dinner was very random that night.. random as in he let me choose whatever foods i liked to eat without setting down an actual menu (ie. it's not steak, gravy, and spaghetti or something but just random items of food i love o.o;)... so i chose random items such as chicken wings, steak, broccoli, eggs and bbq pork XD;; lg718 is an amazing cook so everything turned out sooo delicious! (the cny thing hanging behind us lasted for over a year lol)


valentines day gets a lot less 'surprising' each year, and to me, i think it's just a day where you can give gifts of chocolate/flowers out to people you care about just because you can XD i randomly saw this tiny nice dough flowers and bought them for my sis who's always so sweet to me :O so it was nice to surprise her with it on valentines day :D

i got off of work at 4:45 today which was really, really nice. we had a nice lunch buffet at work as well so the day passed by really quickly! as it's nearing chinese new year, people are starting to really decorate their apartment buildings etc, and a lot of people are going to the 'lin siu', a kind of convention where they sell chinese new year flowers, items and random cute things :D as usual there will be waaay too many ppl so i doubt i'll go ~_~;;
harbourcity as usual has one of the most beautiful displays i've ever seen :O

Archaeologists in Italy have discovered a couple buried 5,000 to 6,000 years ago, hugging each other.

"It's an extraordinary case," said Elena Menotti, who led the team on their dig near the northern city of Mantova.

"There has not been a double burial found in the Neolithic period, much less two people hugging -- and they really are hugging."

Menotti said she believed the two, almost certainly a man and a woman although that needs to be confirmed, died young because their teeth were mostly intact and not worn down.

"I must say that when we discovered it, we all became very excited. I've been doing this job for 25 years. I've done digs at Pompeii, all the famous sites," she told Reuters.

"But I've never been so moved because this is the discovery of something special."

A laboratory will now try to determine the couple's age at the time of death and how long they had been buried.

well, after a really really fun x 1000000000000 weekend and birthday.. i can't believe it's time to go back to work.. sigh~

to start off the re-cap:

26 Jan - had office January birthday party :D yummy icecream + cake + hea-ing time haha~ then i went to play mj with some collegues in causeway bay! since our bosses were away on a business trip, we were able to leave a bit earlier than usual~ i had LOT of fun.. not just because I won (haha which i can't beleive i did.. i'm still a 'baby' in mj... i think it's beginner's luck) but becuase I got to know my collegues even better~ i think this type of team building will be a bit better than the one i'll have to do in march...

28 Jan - ate dinner and shopped at cwb! it was a family gathering (plus kenny and etc) and we ordered a ton of our favorite food from outback :D more presents!! the chocolate icecream brownie cake was delicious :D~~ too bad it collapsed before i could bring it around and take pictures ~_~

29 Jan - had birthday lunch with my good friend ray at One bar~ i had enough cake that day to satisfy my craving for chocolate lol~ he treated me to a lovely lunch and ordered our favorite chocolate cake and blueberry (damn i actually typed burberry lol) cheesecake~

30 Jan - my birthday~ had tons of nice 'happy birthday' wishes!! even my boss knew it was my birthday lol.. my manager organized a birthday lunch with 7 of my other collegues :D we had lovely shanghai food at this place in central (damn i never know how to get to these places...) and i felt so bad that i was treated to lunch AND also got a present from my manager ~_~;;
i had taken half day off so after lunch i went out with lg718 to pacific place and look at tiffany's :D i had seen this pretty star necklace on their website but it wasn't what it looked like in real life D: so i ended up getting something else ^-^
towards nighttime, i met up with din and tat to go to 赤柱 and eat at this german restaurant they booked~ it was realllly delicious and i had a really nice and yummy icecream cheesecake :D i had so much fun XD

31 Jan - had a day off! i went out with lg718 to mk to buy stuff for our nds (yay! no more gba slot :D) and to shop around for stuff~ i got my snack pile refilled as well :D

altogether, the week went by waay too quick ~_~ the next thing i look forward to is: chinese new year!!!

just wanted to thank W, raven and cylyna for surprising me with card/gifts! (although i was 'warned' ahead of time about cylyna's lovely and VERY 'sweet' gift hehe) i love you guys so much ~_~ its not only the fact that i'm receiving gifts but that i'm actually lucky enough to have close friends who are spread out across the world (W in toronto, cylyna's in switzerland, and raven's in japan!) but who take the time to find a gift/card for me and take time to mail it out etc!

cylyna: love u lots as usual! take more pics for me! i can't wait to eat the lovely chocolates but i'm going to force myself to hold back till my actual birthday!

Happy birthday W!!! (plus, i hate job appraisals)

weekend passes by so fast, as usual :( i'm realllllly depressed this week because i've been working my butt off for the whole month, leaving around 7-8 each night and not having much chance to go out and do my own stuff! especially since the stupid mb kept threatening my collegue and i with the job appraisal stuff, i was even more depressed. let's just say we were 'sacrificed' (in chinese 'eat dead cat') because the bb yelled at the mb and mb just felt he needed some people to put the blame on... it would have been ok if he didn't mention that 'job appraisals are coming up, and this is the type of thing that affects it'... what a 'fun cheung' (sorry.. typing at work so no chinese characters..) i mean... damn, since you wanted to be in charge of a whole department, you should also be able to take the blame for mistakes that _YOU_ made...

anyway, i got my stupid job appraisal reviewed today and, as expected, received all "B"s and "satisfactory"s. it was like reviewing my highschool report card, only worse because this guy doesnt' grade on how well you do your work, because he has no idea what ANY of us do, but on how much he likes you and how much you suck up to him~ but.. at least our company is doing well and my bonus should be not too bad, regardless of this *#*!?@'s review~
however, i'm a happy go lucky, easily satisfied, glass half full type girl so i expect myself to be better by the end of this blog entry haha..

so, aside from that horrible guy, i had an ok weekend where i got my lovely trench coat-ish item from the As Know As online order that micsis organized~ i love it so much! it's exactly the japanese style coat i wanted. i had a fantastic night at karaoke with a bunch of my collegues and ex-collegues (i wish that could have gone on for awhile longer :( ) and then met up with lg718 and dinb etc to have a drink at this lovely place by the harbourside in tst.

on sunday i went to do highlights with lg718 at HAIR since he needed a haircut as well. i love it! we had a lovely discount and i was able to choose haircolours that wasn't red and purple for once (everyone seemed to enjoy recommending those colours to me in the 10 years i've been dyeing my hair... it's like red/purple is ALWAYS 'in' for chinese people or something) and that were actually "in". copper + brown :D it's kind of not too noticeable, which is great since i wanted a subtle change, but it warmed up my face instantly! my black black hair added to my pale pale face (even paler from it being wintertime) made me look like a walking corpse at times ~_~;;

will take pics later to show ~ (i need to post a few pics of other stuff ~_~;;)

on a nice side note, some happy things are:
1. it's my birthday soon :D
2. birthday lunch, shopping and dinner on sunday
3. birthday dinner
4. guitar lessons XD i'm finally starting them this weekend!! i'm so glad i managed to find someone that i could trust (case's friend.. thanks so much case :D) and actually push myself to do something i've wanted to do for the past... 10 years (damn i feel old..)~
5. will start to look for various other classes to start :D any suggestions? i'm thinking of taking modern dance/jazz or something, and maybe another instrument as well~

current mood: still in a semi "i hate your guts and really want to kick your ass MB" type mood... but better XD as predicted~

as j9 would know, i've always been the 333 girl (while she was always 666... she should also be 999 though, for obvious reasons haha) so it's a nice surprise that he won it :D and since 9 has always been lg718's number, we're all happy~

on a side note, i don't like the car he'll be driving :( i'm unfortunately biased negatively towards landrovers so.. hopefully it'll prove me wrong :(... i hope it's really really really really safe ~_~

i have a new manager at work... she seems to be really nice, and i just hope that there are no big changes except me having to do a little less work and have even less interaction with the sb and bb here....
however i've been so busy these past few weeks and leaving much later than usual ~_~ so it seems like workload wise, nothing's changed D:

but from looking at emails that summarize 豬年運程, it seems like i'll FINALLY be having a pretty good year~ ^-^ although i dont' believe in those things 100%, its nice to be able to read something positive about my year from those chinese zodiac books... because year after year, whether it's year of the dog or not, everything is negative (worst was when i was in my graduating year in highschool and they said i would have a horrible year of school, bad grades etc and it got me doubly paranoid because i was applying for university! and all highschoolers at that point in time are paranoid to begin with!)~

i really dislike fake people who use the excuse that talking on an instant messenge, such as msn, means they can get away with however they act in those msgs they type... i'm not meaning anyone that reads my blog off course, because i bet this person is waaaaaaaaaay too lazy to read through a bunch of english...
i guess i kind of turned down, disappointed and somehow let down his person many times in the past and it's coming back to me? although it was a good thing i did so.. however, we were friends, good close friends for the longest time even though i disappointed, so for someone like me, who feels that fighting is not necessary, who feels sorry exactly 3 minute after a heated argument, who feels that every friendship and relationship is worth fighting for no matter how rotten the last interaction was, it's not surprising to see that yeah, i do get sort of disappointed that friends can be sooo different on msn.. whether it's someone you haven't contacted with in awhile, or old friends who are busy with life.. it's just so sad that someone who u've known for a long time and who once treated you really well is sooo different just because you've moved on in life, and moved to a differnet place and haven't contacted each other for awhile..
okay i'm not making much sense, but i think a lot of people will know what i mean when i say i hate it when you type up a long msg to someone and get:

1. oic
2. i see..
3. oh/"dim ar" (i realllly dislike this reply)
4. haha
5. no response (in my opinion one of the worst things someone can do is just disappear without a single word, bye, brb whatever, unless their internet is crap)
6. some random response about 30 minutes later, when u've forgetten u even msged this person~

and apparently the person who i'm talking about has repeatedly done number 3, 5 and 6. and what's worse, he forgot which day my birthday was on -.-;

so yeah i'm annoyed. annoyed enough to rant about it haha.. maybe it's pms or i'm just feeling bitchy because i was told to research and compare freaking plasma tvs during my work hours by my boss... no matter i had about 15 reports to send out...

i love rain's voice a lot. yes yes i was against him for awhile becuase he was over popular and overdone here in hong kong like a lot of asian/hollywood stars tend to be.. but now that it has all faded a bit, i listened to his voice and like it.
내가 누웠던 침대(In My Bed) ~ i really love this song.. listening to it over and over.. it's funny though, i bet it's how one of my good friends is feeling right now.. this song fits him perfectly and i dedicate it to him becuase he's apparently 60% on the mend! thanks for all those fantastic lunches~ ganbatte ne...

work related rant.. i'm just glad i'm not the only one who feels the same way XD
as many may know, i work in an investment company...
so, i just wanted to whine here about how much i hate year end work. D: annual reports, quarterly reports, monthly reports.... ALL have to be sent out soon and all i can do is sit here and wait while others give me what i need D: and no one seems to be in ANY hurry except me!! augh~~~
on top of that, i have to do various misc. things for my boss, which is NOT FUN.

okay. end rant D: hope weekend is much more fun and i really like the light blue evelyn bag, that i'm thinking of purchasing as my personal bday gift, after i see it D:

looong holiday week review :D (and no internet for the past few days..)

omg.. i was going to post all about my christmas weekend but luck would have it, taiwan had a massive earthquake that messed up the internet connection =.=; and therefore I found a way to get back online but it's superrrr slowww.. i hope i manage to get this through.. the past few days were crazy! bloomberg was down, and a lot of people couldn't get emails so we either had to fax or.. call .. sometimes all fax, email and telephones weren't working, especially for Japan so we couldn't do much work :/

summary of the last few days:

dec 21 - had a fantastic lunch with ray, josephine and miranda! we went to this lovely restaurant in lkf area where there about four tables to a room? so it was very very cosy with lots of christmas decorations! it was an amazing atmosphere and the girl serving us was very pleasant and polite about everything~ definitely must bring people to go there next time~

dec 22 - had a quick shopping trip with mso at IFC during lunchtime! i bought some random stuff to make for new years (actually i was planning for x'mas but i never had time haha) and sort of for case' bday~ we had a quick lunch and caught up with each other~
since it was winter solstice, we were supposed to be able to leave early at 3pm but.. unfortunately i had to help out with a few more things and couldnt' leave till 5:30 ~_~ but it's good enough for me :D i went over to my olympic city 2 to meet up with my bro and had a coffee with him at starbucks~ he had bought a TON of stuff that needed to be prepared for the hotpot that night so i helped him carry stuff back and helped him set up and prepare~ it was really nice because i had a long one-on-one time with him and we chatted about a lot of different things, something i haven't really done with him till i moved back to hk last year~
the hotpot was fantastic!!! the food they bought was exactly what i love to eat.. the tomato soup base was really good as well, as we didn't need to really dip into the soy sauce for the meat/food to have taste :D
afterwards we had a gift opening session (yay~) and bro helped me read my life fortune thingie (i gotta get the proper name for this later..).. turns out i'm a 'hea' type person -.-; , will bring good fortune to my husband and kids, and has been lucky in life to meet people who are loyal and good to me, though not many that are very close. which is very very true~
we had a few games of wii sports after, though their living room made it easy for me to hit them instead of the virtual ball /sweat/ XD

dec 23 - went up to dongguan with lg718's cousin! (on a side topic, he's a really, really good guy, very gentleman and also a very caring type guy.. really need to introduce a good girl to him haha..) we were going to bbq up at this mountain top resort at night so we had to get there early :O the carride to the mountain took about an hour and was super super super cold when we got there ~_~;; luckily i had about two jackets and three tops on (courtesy of lg718 who wouldnt let me leave the house without bundling up like a 'jung') so i was warm enough~ the bbq was a lot of fun! i hadn't done it in awhile, especially HK style bbqing (well i had grown up in toronto XD;;) and i ate so much i found that i had a super large acne by the time i woke up the next day ~_~;; hotpot + bbq = very very large big NONO~
we played mj afterwards but i grew so sleepy that lg718 sent me to up to my room early -.-; and he went out to get midnight snack with them aftewards!!! XO!

dec 24 - x'mas eve!!! we woke up really early (omg.. around 7:30.. i never wake up that early except for work D:) and after breakfast, went hiking :D it was soo beautiful! but the stone steps were quite dangerous .. however, when we reached the top, we had a lovely lunch there and took quite a few pictures~ (will post later whenever lg718 does something with them haha)
after the lunch, we got ready to head back to dongguan and to prepare for going to the hotel buffet at nighttime :D i watched them play many rounds of showhand (i prefer mj and nds XD) before we forced them to stop so that we could leave @.@

lg718 drove this time and before long, we arrived at the really really beautiful hyatt hotel, which is around a 5, nearing 6 star hotel @.@ it was really really beautiful inside, with a theme of 'water' everywhere! i kept eating salmon and crab legs till i got really full, then went nuts on the icecream and cakes and starshaped cookies XD this is one of my favorite, favorite parts of the hotel was the cages part.. Raven would know which one when she sees it XD it's like hyde's evergreen pv...

after the secret santa gift swapping (that we organized ourselves), we drove back to their house and prepared to countdown to christmas.. except it passed without us knowing (they were playing cards again lol) ~

dec 25 - i went back to hk with lg718 after an early drink tea breakfast/lunch at this really beautiful restaurant near where they live~ the ride back was quite long but i fell asleep in about 2 seconds on both the bus and train ride XD;; so it was fast to me. when we got to kowloon tong, we got some kfc (i wanted to try that honey roasted chicken omg..) and went back to my place to eat lunch and relax awhile before setting out again for christmas day shopping + dinner~ lg718 opened his second and third x'mas gifts (i still need to get him a lightbulb for his mushroom lamp @.@) :D we went to his place afterwards to drop off his bags then went to harbourcity to meet up with micsis and bro to hand over some stuff~ since we were at harbourcity, i made the bad suggestion of shopping there as well D: lets just say we went trigger happy and i got a dress and lg718 got a coat and some shirts D: lg718 and i got his sister's birthday gift as well :D and lg718 got me the bear i wanted from that same store (which i can't mention now in case i direct her to my blog and forget that i wrote it out here @.@)~ at night we had a nice chiuchow meal (i love chiu chow food omggg~) and then went back to his place to watch some movies :D

dec 26 -my sis got back from her trip to macau! lg718 and i went shopping at mongkok where he helped purchase a few electronic items for his dad (again!) and we went to langham place i.t. and bought a few things again..
at night, micsis and bro came over and we ordered pizza and had a nice wii-ing session again :D this time with lg718.. why oh why do i suck so much at tennis ~_~;

dec 27 - back to work.. no one was here because of christmas vacation or sickness! and internet disaster.. first time since i started working here that i saw the fund managers... FREE.. and tidying up their desks because bloomberg + internet connections were down and they couldn't do their work D: i met up with case and don at night but was sooo bored the whole day (no internet = death) that i found myself talking and talking nonstop @.@;;

dec 28 - i found an online site full of flash games XD that kept me entertained the whole day as i couldnt' do a lot of my work D:

dec 29 - my relaxing day at guerlain spa/facial place XD finally get a day where i dont' have to go out lol

dec 30 - went out with case to cwb for the whole night... we had a lot of fun shopping and just catching up with each other as i hadnt' seen him in more than a year and we never really talked much with just each other :D

dec 31 - yesterday @.@ as my sis was feeling sick and casey didn't really want to spend the day crowding around lkf or some other place to countdown, we decided to do hot pot at my place :D we went shoppign for the groceries and for cds/dvds/wii remotes then went back home and had a ton of fun XD lets just say i'm not good at preparing food and have absolutely no idea what to do @.@ after the countdown, i rushed to make this 3 minute bake in microwave oven cake i got a few days before (intending for new year's and casey as well).. it seemed so quick and easy and fun, especially since we dont' have those conventional ovens like we do in toronto @.@ but we realized we didnt' have any milk on hand so we had to improvise by adding vitasoy malt soy milk in instead as a replacement haha.. the decoration part was done with lg718 (the stupid icing thingie was so hard to use!! i'm glad that u can sort of see happy birthday on it lol) and we were done the cake in about 15 minutes.. not too bad for a 15 minute no bake cake? XD;;
and what did it taste like? sponge cake XD;; the chinese kind if any of you get what i mean~

today is jan 1 :O i'm not sure what we'll be doing yet but i'm soo tired from staying up till nearly 4am last night..

christmas weekend :D and office party...

it was our annual company christmas party last night, held at the deep water bay golf club~ as usual, i was on the planning committee regardless of whether i was busy or not (-.-;) and as usual, i was put in charge of creating the programe, name cards, table name decorations etc etc. thank goodness the party was late this year so not many people could make it and everything was a LOT simpler~
however, with the lesser number of people, the sponsors gave out crappier prizes as well! last year i won a $5000 hk travel coupon (which i've yet to use bleh) which was the top prize; the first time i ever won any top prize lol.. but this year, i was aiming for maybe a cash coupon or some coupon for sogo or lane crawford.... but received... cash coupon for watsons' and a dvd player .... what in the world can i do with a dvd player.. and a crappy one as well -.-;;;;; the prizes AFTER the one i got were the good ones :( and i had to read them out one by one.. however, i was glad that people who deserved good gifts received them ^_^ grats to all~

however, to make up for that, i managed to get the better secret santa gift: an octopus card with 100hkd on it!! can't wait to refund it ~

aside from gifts, i was glad that the games we planned were received well and everyone had a ton of fun. in fact, most of the games went on for too long becuase they were so much fun! the only bad part was i got pulled to sing in front of everyone (don't.. ask...), and had to choose form a bunch of folk songs (so glad they had 'eternal flame' lol).. i was blushing so badly that i'm surprised it cant be seen from the pics /sweat/..
it was also bad that the food tasted kinda not too great and i got home quite late as it was sooo far from home.. and no one lived in my area so i had to ride the mtr alone ~_~

but, it's nearly christmas time! XD so i guess i should stop focusing on the bad side of things. x3

wed (today): lunch with manager + collegue
thursday: lunch with friend + collegue, dinner with case (yay he's back), dinb and cockroach
friday: lunch with friend + shopping at IFC after lunch, early leave that day (because of chinese winter thing) and hotpot at night with MSRB!
saturday~monday morning: short trip with lg718!!! lovely 5-6 star buffet ~
monday: christmas day XD whole day with lg718 + sis etc
tuesday: boxing day, wiiing party with MSRB, lg718 etc.

soooo much to look forward to.. can't wait! it's also my birthday in jan, and then chinese new year!

i received a nice surprise at work today! my first christmas card... from my MS and RB /super touched/~ they surprised me by mailing it to my office and writing a super cute message inside ^_^ it really warmed up the day for me! will take a picture to post of the card later :D

weekend is over! i was mass-x'mas shopping all weekend, hoping i could get all the presents i needed in time for this week~ luckily i managed to get all i needed but also have time to shop for myself.. and unfortunately i think i bought a little too much for myself~ ^^;; everything was on sale or had new winter stuff come out so it was hard to control myself :( most of the items i got were cute/interesting/pretty accessories that i can't wait to use~!
harbourcity at tsim sha tsui has another beautiful christmas display at their harbourside entrance!! i took a pic with lg718 but it was so crowded it was hard to show the other beautiful areas.. will attempt to show more pictures later *_*

will be on a short trip on 23-25 morning then christmas dinner and 26 boxing day party~ then a few days later it's new year! i hope the holidays last forever...

i received the following 對聯 from MS today! they consist of chinese words that read the same back and forth, with some of the words being exactly the same or at least similar sounds. quite funny!

i-ra~

as most people know, i am VERY interested in "ABJD" otherwise known as 'asian ball-jointed dolls'. i haven't been posting much about them recently because i think the strong 'passion' i had for it has grown a little weaker, but it doesnt' stop me from admiring and wanting to buy many of the limited dolls out there :D

recently, one of my favorite doll companies, the korean 'dream of doll' company released a LOVELY limited edition elf called "I-ra".. she was first shown in pictures with a mask on, so her face wasn't revealed till later on:

isn't she gorgeous? and what a beautiful name! the price was set at USD890 and put on sale on 29 November 2006... from what i read in forums, she was gone in minutes/seconds! i think aside from the doll i own (a lovely girl who i'm in the process of renaming), this girl is one of the dolls i would have LOVED to own.. she looks so much like deedlit from lodoss wars!

aside from the limited 'breakaway' male doll from luts, and the limited ducan from dream of doll (another male doll with elf ears) I-ra would be the one i'd want most after those.

it's interesting how DOD posts a background story for each of their limited edition dolls. apparently ducan and i-ra are in a story with each other (although the english translation is kind of confusing...) :D for those who forget what ducan looks like, he's another mysterious looking elf male doll (yes he's male... it's the whole bishounen type look :P):

aside from dolls.. i need to start/finish up my christmas shopping! i've yet to get gifts for micsis, bro, bro in law, sis, lg718, dinb, manager, company x'mas part, and a few random friends... /insert omg face here/ i think the hardest would be my bro because i have absolutely NO IDEA what he would like.. hopefully i can have it all completed by this weekend and have time to enjoy buying an x'mas gift for myself....

x'mas gifts/cards should be arriving this week to ppl that i sent out to last week :D hope you all enjoy them!

sick yet AGAIN ~_~

i'm sick again ; ;
i took a day off work yesterday because i had this weird burning sensation in my throat that started 1-2 days ago~ i thought it was because i was 'hot air' recently, but after going to the doctor, i'm told i have the flu/cold AGAIN... i was given more medicine and told to rest more ~_~

my sinus are all blocked up now so i can barely hear what people are saying! it was quite funny because the taxi driver yesterday was asking me which path to take and he had to say it three times before i heard what he said.. my goodness ~_~;;
today i went back to work becuase there were some reports that need to be sent out... i was coughing and sneezing all morning till the guy next to me (the guy who also sees how many snacks i eat, how i tend to smile at the monitor and talk a lot on the phone ~_~;;) asked me if i was ok and why i didn't take another day off...

good question -.-; why didnt' i do that? lol...

anyway, the medicine i'm taking is making me so groggy! i can barely concentrate and anything anyone says needs a few minutes to be processed before i can give an answer.. :( talk about being KO'ed by medication ~_~

hope everyone stays away from the flu bug this cold winter season!!!
and hope everyone gets/likes the cards/presents i mailed out ~~

the weekend :D

well it's already saturday night, and here we are, watching my sis finish up a few surgeries on trauma center~ it's a quite fascinating game, especially since it involves surgery and i don't have to be the one who's playing it :D

friday i went out to sing k and eat dinner with a few friends :D it was a LOT of fun as i hadn't done karaoke in about more than half a year... i was able to sing the theme song from 'fat tin' and also many other new songs by wing yee etc. afterwards i rushed home and did some wiiing as my bro/micsis were over and had brought their wii remotes! we played four player tennis and it was great how micsis and i ended up winning the last game (seeing we were both told off as being the worst two players :P). i really recommend wii for those who are still considering it; there really is nothing to consider! it's so much fun, and especially fun to play with friends when they can bring their own remotes and their miis with them as well :D

at night i managed to write up around 10 christmas cards in one sitting! each card had a specially written msg as well, which took me a ton of time but was worthwhile :D i hope i manage to mail everything out on monday ~_~;;

on saturday i went out to mong kok with lg718 and my sis, as we had a few random items that we needed to buy. i finally bought the dvds i needed to burn stuff onto and also the laptop cooling pad :D i dont' think i REALLY need one but its helpful for when my laptop is left on for long periods of time, as the vaio laptops are quite hot ~_~;; lg718 got the router he wanted, and i got the purple mascara i wanted. we had a nice afternoon snack at suzuki and afterwards went to this cute shop on the same level that sold miniature boxes in the shape of cakes! my sis got me a cupcake and a pair of earrings in the shape of gingerbread man on one side, and a star shaped cookie on the other side :D



isn't it cute? XD i wonder if i should get this as an x'mas gift for one of my girls.. :O

afterwards, we went back to my sister's place and she cooked an awesome dinner for us. lg718 got to try out the wii and we spent a lot of time bowling etc. slightly offtopic, gamewise, i think it's wii sports that's the most fun, then rayman.. monkey ball is quite cute but i think there are some problems with the detection or something because we always end up not being able to do the require actions ~_~;;


On sunday i went out to shop with lg718 at festival walk after his haircut at 'hair'~ the christmas tree there was soooo beautiful!!! it was covered with swarovski cyrstals and was the full height of the six or seven levels of the mall . i could only take a part of the picture:


we bought so much stuff! x'mas gifts and other random stuff gifts :D i got this really adorable comic storybook (will scan pics from it soon) from a bookstore and a lot of other random good stuff~

current mood: getting colder and colder... but happy :D
