First of all, in a totally unrelated topic, i finally finished harry potter monday night! i'm happy to say that i enjoyed the book, although i am kinda of sad that it's over! I'm not going to post any spoilers here because I hate it when people ruin movies/books etc for other people and i'm very very glad i read the book in HK where people may post things online but i have a choice not to read it (as opposed to in toronto where everyone you meet seems to want to tell u the ending that they googled up D:)
anyway, last fri-saturday, i went to macau with silly, mary, curtis and curtis' friend edward to celebrate mary's birthday! at first i was worried that my mom was flying in on saturday but luckily she changed her flight to tuesday (yesterday) so i was able to go ahead on this trip :D
i haven't been to macau in aaaaaaages so it was really nice to go with silly and them and see all the new additions! according to them, macau is changing so fast, with the new casinos, new roads/shops/touristy areas and the new fishermen's wharf area (kind of like a 'mini europe') that each time they go, it's totally different~
we did the usual stuff, lovely dinners (italian one night, porteguese the other night), really delicious and famous crab congee, porteguese style eggtart and visiting the usual sites (the new casinos, wynn, new lisboa etc and the ruins of the st paul cathedra/大三巴, which i really liked, especially the serene crypt...). What i'm really looking forward to is seeing the Venetian being completed and getting a chance to live at the "little venice"! when we passed by it, it was shocking how large an area it had; not only was the hotel huge, the surrounding man-made gardens and lakes complete with gondolas (which aren't all completed yet of course) area was really amazing. i really want to come here again when it's complete :D
did i mention that it was searing hot, at 34+ degrees celcius, no shade or wind, and i was already wearing a tanktop and shorts D: it wasn't like in HK where every few steps there's an airconditioned place D: but i survived XD (this is not the most difficult thing i've had to do yet anyway :D haha)~
the following pictures are courtesy of silly's blog (as i've yet to get the pictures from her). thanks dear! i really need to go camera shopping with u soon so that i can take lots of pics to post too. for the rest of the pictures, go to my photo book or to silly's blog~:
