Happy birthday Don!

i hope you enjoyed the celebration we had together on saturday~

to recap all this stuff, on saturday we had planned a birthday dinner/celebration for don's bday (which is today, 28th may)~ as he usually has a family thing for monday, we decided to have our own celebration on saturday so that we could stayout late and not have to fight for his attention ~ :P

the day started out with cylyna meeting me at festival walk for lunch, then going back to my place with the books/camera/stuff she had helped me bring from toronto, and her own clothing stuff as she was sleeping over. we chatted for awhile, then headed out to mongkok to meet up with lg718 who had to buy a few things~ i managed to sell my old cell phone (903sh D:) finally! i'm glad it's over with now but i'm going to miss the awesome camera on it.. (the prada phone has a really really bad camera.. and i mean bad...)~


we went to lg718's place afterwards to do more 'hea'-ing and cylyna taught me to use her nikon D50 camera! i HOPE i will get better with taking pics after this.. haha~ afterwards, we went out to tst for dinner at outback with don and tatat~ it was a lot of fun, and i think the best part was how we got the free birthday dessert for donb and the staff came out to sing!! (he basically had no choice...) also, i liked how they took a pic of us and then printed it out as a gift~ i've been to a few outback for birthday celebrations but i don't think they did it before~ maybe it's a newly opened outback so that's why?

afterwards they all came over to my place to do some gaming~ tattat is the only one who hasn't come before (i think?). as we only have four controllers at the moment (i should have borrowed some from my micsis...), i let the four of them play while i watch and sneak pics.. (cylyna did the same XD) as i'm also practicing/learning photography skills anyway :P

lets just say they were really crazy.. and we ended up playing till.. 7am... they didnt' leave till around 7:30 (silly was sleeping over)... it was crazy -___-; i haven't done this type of thing since i was in toronto, and that was only through playing WoW! silly slept at around 5am (i forced her to.. she was sleeping on the carpet on a pillow lol..) and i was drifting off on the couch after that but.. they kept going @.@;; the funny thing was, they were playing rayman for most of the time (we hadnt' even touched the ps3 or xbox...) and by 7am, all they were playing were those mini games where they tried to beat the top score (ie. hit the bunny on the head for as long as possible to see who gets the highest "bump"... shearing sheep.. etc).
speechless :P

i was surprisingly wide awake after four hrs of sleep (i slept around 8.. woke around 12:30.. cuz silly called me from the guest room lol! she got woken up...).. we spent the time getting up slowwwwly then heading out for lunch.

i don't think i've recovered! lol..

current mood: playing an MMO all night is one thing, going out with friends all night is another.. but... playing WII all night is nuts... (there's something about wii that makes u 10x more tired, dizzy and.. crazy..)

ps: Mr. T! i knew it was you! good luck on your tests and stuff.. i have NO idea what's going on with you currently but since i've 'found' you, then i can be assured i'll find out soon~

i had quite a fun day off yesterday~ i watched pirates with cylyna at olympic at 1pm (ALL other shows at other venues were full ~_~;;) and... it's definitely really long at 3hrs and i think i prefer part 2 for silly, laughing entertainment value as opposed to this one. i can tell they wanted to answer the questions from the previous "episodes" but i think they didn't do it too well ~_~;; kind of disappointed in a way because johnny depp is my favorite actor but... i guess it's a movie everyone will watch sooner or later XD but i wont' give any spoilers :P

afterwards, we went to tsuen wan, then sham cheng, then 'dai lam' to reach our bbq place! after taking the mtr to tsuen wan, we found a light bus that took us into sham cheng, then found ricky who took us into 'siu lam'~ it was sooooooo hot that day D: i think i was bbqing myself while bbqing the food D: it was 68 dollars per person and was an all you can eat, plus two free drinks type place~ i didn't eat much because it was just too hot to be hungry ~_~;; trust hk to make u lose appetite XD it was great meeting ricky's friends, mostly who went to his church as well~ (i'm not good with names tho D:)
it was a lot nicer when it got darker and we went out to the small beach next to the bbq area :D it was really windy and felt soooo comfortable, breathing in the (mostly?) clean air that we can't get anywhere in the city ~_~;; we took a few pics and had a lot of laughs together... i think the greatest thing was, it was like 11 years after we first met in highschool but nothing much has changed, except for the better! talking about highschool times was a lot of fun :P

:D busy week!

weekend flew by so quickly.. unfortunately it's been raining heavily for the past few days -__-; so i didnt want to go out too much... it was a fantastic dinner + talk with cylyna on friday! as she was still tired and jetlaggy, i didn't take any pics, but probably will take some today when i see her! i spent saturday with her, then ate dinner with doin and 'tat tat chu' in langham place.. i can't believe i spent my WHOLE day in that mall @.@ it wasn't until later at night when the rain stopped that we went outside and walked around a bit!

on sunday it was raining heavily AGAIN but i went out for a bit with cylyna again (can't get enough of her :P) and bought a pair of adorable black shoes XD gotta take a pic of it when i get home :3

yesterday (tues) i had dinner with philip (aka 'mr chan') and hannah at tst :D it was REALLY nice x 1000 to see her after so long (i saw philip a few weeks back) and she's still as cute and bubbly as ever! she's working at cathay now and it's cute hearing all her stories.. i hope she has a good work week and that we can see each other soon again (she has shifts so we never know when she'll be off D:) will post pics in next post when i get them from mr. chan haha..

for once, there's a holiday this thursday (tomorrow) so today is like a friday to me :D will have lunch with jon and cylyna (dim sum!) and then meet up with ray for dinner and sing k with him, cylyna etc. then tomorrow i'm gonna be watching pirates @.@;; i hope it's worth the 3 hrs and online lineup for the advanced tickets ~_~; but then again.. there's johnny depp haha.. ricky was supposed to hold a bbq tomorrow but.. there may be rain and he might have work unfortunately :/ so we'll see..

friday i have lunch with some friends.. then the nighttime is 'empty' still.. i might stay home and actually finish hwk, practice stuff, finally try to learn how to play 'cape of storms' on the piano etc. but i probably will end up going out lol XD

it's don's bday next week! we're holding a dinner for him on saturday which reminds me that i should call and book the place @.@ we'll be going back to my place later to play some wii/ps3/ etc probably and cylyna will sleep over, so i'm REALLY looking forward to that! i just hope he likes the two gifts lg718 and i got him ._. (which he should, since i chose both of them :3)~

sunday will be cylyna + lg718 day.. so will see what there is to do!

girlfriends and wedding bells~ (not mine though :P)

before i start my entry:
just to let people know, i usually update randomly my blog, not necessarily only once a week but maybe more. for those who have my msn, i will put up the date of update (ie. i'm updating now so it'll be 18/5) as a msg after my user name. so in case there are people who are waiting for my responses to their comments (ie. mr anon :P), then yeah, u can go look there :P

but back to my entry:
lots of people are getting married lately! i think it's because the last few years were not as 'good' years, and had less 'lucky days', so people are rushing to get married in this year, usually towards the second half.

i think a few signs that you're getting older would be:
first, your siblings/cousins/relatives are getting married..
second, the scarier sign, would be your friends/people you've grown up with getting married
third, any of the above people having kids...

as one of my elementary school friends got married and had a kid a few years ago, then the year after, my brother and my sister got married in the same year, so i've been attacked by all of the above -__-; (i hope that doesnt' mean i'm getting REALLY old...)

however, although my collegues are getting married off one by one (i think i'm one of the two girls that aren't married yet... lets not mention the ppl that have no intention of marrying...) i'm glad to say that none of my other close guy/girl friends have gotten married as yet, or even engaged :D (except 'prezzie'... i've yet to meet him still lol)

one of my lovely collegues is getting married in november and she just showed me her wedding pictures. i'm pretty sure most girls out there still have a princess-y idea as their theme for their wedding pics but a lot more ppl are choosing the more casual style, like my collegue. she had a taiwanese photo shoot done, with simple dresses, simple wedding gown, and i think the great thing is that the focus is on the people in their most 幸福 moment and less on the idea that it's 'WEDDING' pictures :D ~ verrry nice~

anyway, lg718 sent me a link to a forum where these pictures were posted. the title of the thread was "如果我是你女朋友" but when i looked through the pics and read the captions, i noticed that they all fit the description of what i do/did/am doing XD

anyway.. i'm meeting up with cylyna today! i'm sure she'll agree with the above when she sees it :P so proud that she found a job without relaly searching for one and within two days of arriving :P can't wait to catch up :D

to start my post...this is so adorable!! nic's 'mio's new pineapple house! according to nic, mio just walked right in without needing nic to put her inside :D she said there was a strawberry one too but sold out... SO cute!! (look at how many toys there are for her XD)

my usual weekend review..

after a great korean dinner with ray before the weekend, my weekend started with a realllly fun guitar lesson. the travelling time to get to the place where i learn is actually quite long, and since i'm not a tall person or anything, lugging soemthing that's almost my size is kind of.. well, quite a feat. 30+ degrees, walking mostly, and lugging a guitar around really made this seem more like a workout than anything~

afterwards, i went back home to relax a bit before meeting up with lg718 and micsis/ronbro for dinner at harbourcity~

on sunday, mother's day (i miss my mom D:), we went out for lunch at one of our favorite japanese restaurants in tst (again lol.. we basically spent our weekend there @.@) and then went shopping for summer clothing (for him)~ :D i'm proud to add that i did not purchase a SINGLE thing for myself, and managed to come back out of each of my favorite boutiques and shops unscathed. although now i have a few things i want to look for:

1. pink hermes enamel bracelet (the oval shaped one :( the other ones dont' fit me omg ~_~)

2. large sunglasses (i like the pair i saw at YSL, which was pink and had this 70s feel, oversized, but want to keep looking around first)

3. headband (either two thin ones or one thick one, solid colour)

4. a longish cardigan

5. a handbag i can use for rainy days (thinking of TC but lg718 insists on that fendi on)

will continue to look for the above~~ /super (this is one of those "you know you've used too much msn when..." type things haha).. it was a reallllly nice sunday and i'm kind of still not over the fact that it's over ~_~; i love spending the sunny, breezy spring days outside and not couped up in the office!! but unfortunately, i have no choice -___-;

aside from that basic stuff, overall, i think had an up-and-down type weekend... it passed by super quickly as usual (and i JUST remember saying to micsis that 'yay it's only saturday night' to her a short while ago -___-;) but i think it was a weekend that made me realize a few things..

Although i'm quite an optimistic person, and know that i am very blessed in life, i'm the type who still can't believe that people who are important to me (大切な人), and other people out there may care deeply about me too, about what i have to say etc. Maybe it's because I think it's selfish to do so? or maybe it just never occurred to me to have to confirm that people will reciprocate..?

so i'm really, really surprised each time someone asks me about myself, wants to really know more about myself, or does things that i never knew they'd do/mean/say... it may sound strange to people, but it really does come as a surprise when i realize that someone feels that way. it's like "hey, someone really does care :O" (which shows how.. i tend to overlook things lol)

it's because of that that i was genuinely, deeply touched by something on the weekend. Knowing how this person normally is, i know that it meant a lot to do what they did, and i feel really blessed. and i hope they know that~

also, slowly i'm realizing how i'm meeting/hearing from people i've not seen/heard from in awhile (or in most cases a LONG WHILE)~ they're suddenly popping up again and for me to find out that nothing has changed between us is really touching~(you know who you people are!)

i hope you guys will know how much it means to me to talk/see you all again~

current mood: blank.. this entry is very very confusing... i have no idea what i'm trying to say ~_~;; just focus on the cute cat in the picture above :P

re~ anonymous: i really think u are mr. t because he's the only person who would dare claim to know me well.. and who can write in perfect eloquent english~ :P

however, if you're not, i'd then have to apologize because i thought so highly of my 'knowing people' skills :(

things i want to do~

- finish FF3 on nds (i have to admit, i have this thing where i get everything to top (ie. level, armor, spells, jobs, weapons etc) and then i'm at the last part of the game and i just.. give up lol)
- finish watching the latest episodes of koutetsu sangokushi (i admit, i'm a sucker for nice animation even though it's not that great of a storyline.. i don't like BL), heroic age and tokyo majin
- want to read:
1. savage garden by mark mills (interesting mystery history thing)
2. Shadowmarch by tad williams (fantasy)
3. Ghostwalk by rebecca stott (more historical thriller/mystery)
4. the books cylyna will be bringing back for me~
i'm thirsting for good books XD

- watch pirates of the Caribbean
- learn some photography skills (classes?)
+ much more to add to this list till later XD

yet another weekend over~ (but i'm not sick :D)

it's already the second week into may! time flies by so fast in hong kong, even faster than toronto for sure @.@ how does that work? well because toronto has a long 'day time' during summers, 9pm was still super early and i'd have time to do so many things :O but in HK, i'd be thinking "what?! it's 9pm already?!" because, i get off work at 7pm, + transportation + wait time for food, eating time, doing other things etc. + transportation to go home + laze around/do hwk/chores/etc. + shower = not enough time haha... and i gotta squeeze many unexpected activities in too @.@ on weekends, the day is a little longer but that only happens if i wake up before 11am X3.. otherwise, it's just the same (as it means my lazing around time probably is extended haha) :P

that being said, i had a very uneventful weekend ~ but i'm finally (mostly) well again! no more super big coughing fits except at night time... but i'm mostly better :D thanks for all the 'get well soon's!

on friday night, i met up with dinb and cockroach to eat dinner at mk and for drinks aftewards.. i was still taking medicine that day so i was really drowsy and had a hard time staying awake -__-;;

on saturday i went out for lunch with ray and correctly predicted what he was going to tell me :P (but i do wish him good luck with his choice! haha)~ as he worked in kwun tong, i took the mtr all the way over there to meet up with him, then met up with my sis as she was getting off work after my lunch :D we spent the day shopping around the area and i bought a few misc. pieces of clothing at APM and some cute stuff at the small plaza next to APM (i haven't plaza-shopped in a LONG TIME O.O; i forget how many little good bargains i can find in those little shops...)~

sunday i spent most of the afternoon reading nana and FMA manga (it's less exciting for me now for some reason :/) and watching a ton of anime~ after finishing fafner and ghost hunt, i'm kinda lost now and trying to find the next really amazing anime to watch xD (however, i AM glad to note that i managed to get my bro and micsis hooked onto ghost hunt, making them sleepy at work the next day because they couldnt' stop watching it mwahhaha)
any recommendations? aside from the super new spring anime, i'm currently trying out "D gray man"~

its quite messy now as it's still month-end finishing up time and a lot of my toys are missing XD but it's a nice big space :D (and i'm a post-its person lol) unfortunately, the cubicle wall to my left is low and the guy sitting next to me has his screen faced in a similar direction so i feel as if theres no privacy -.-; it doesn't help when he randomly joins in on conversations i have with my manager (who sits to my right, unseen) -.-;

but back to your comment, no, my parents are still in toronto so if you pass by the house, our family is still (partially) there, except i think the LION figurines (note it's not a doggie :P) have been gone for awhile~
you should come back to HK sometime.. i promise to take a few days off and take you to all the yummy places to eat food and shop ~! and when i fly back to toronto either sometime later this year or early next year, i'll be sure to find you for dinner.. we haven't done that in a LONG time! i'm pretty sure you've changed your cell number by now but i vaguely remember your old one~!

some new things :D

thanks everyone for the 'get well soon' and 'aww you're sick?! poor you" type msgs! i feel loved x3!! i went to the doctor again today and he told me my breathing system/lungs are quite weak, probably due to me having a weak immune system + bad air in HK + moving from a clean air country (canada) to a really polluted country (HK)~ he gave me a bunch of medication so hopefully i'll get better soon! but unfortunately, i gotta take antibiotics again or this stupid cough and sniffling won't go away :( but anyway love you all for the love!

i've been keeping my mind off sickness by a few things :D final fantasy xii for nds has been released! (japanese version)~ i'm contemplating whether or not to play this game and understand about 70-80% of it or waiting to get the english version... either way i'm seeing nice reviews about this game so i'm quite excited~

i got the final fantasy 20th anniversary game for psp! it's actually a remake of the first final fantasy (super super old school style rpg where u walk around all over the world and explore without having to follow a set path.. ie. no map :P) and on the psp, it looks really nice and 'updated'~ i've played it on snes, and also on game boy advance but i kinda gave up on both because it was just too.. old school and ... i guess i have no excuses except that i was spoiled by ffx and on haha... i will definitely attempt to play this game as i just finished nds' chocobo tales (i recommend this game to anyone who wants to play a ton of cute mini games and a fun, semi-addictive, easy card duel game) and dont' have anything on nds that i really want to play yet so i can bring my psp out more~ i also got the gundam seed action game awhile back and it's AMAZING! i can't believe they can make this for psp!! it's basically just the whole arcade game packed into this small hand held console, and everything about it is perfect~ although i generally am not too good this type of game (i tend to go for the gundams which are my favorite and the most powerful but also have high cost :( which means i can't die or i'll lose haha), not skill-wise but.. choice-wise haha~ a very highly recommended game for those who like gundam and have time to play psp~

i also got a new toy: a new phone!

it's charging right now or i'd take more pics of it, but it's the new prada LG phone that came out a few months ago first in the UK and now in HK! i've got to get used to that touch screen thing (it's a thermic touch screen which means i can't touch it with a pen, only with my dry fingers) and all but i can finally change my phone after nearly two years of using a bigger phone (even tho i love it still)!! but i'll definitely miss the 3.2mp on my old japanese phone :( 903sh~~ i hope u go to a good home~~ D:
