i've been waaaaaaaaaayy too lazy (and busy!) to post anything lately.... but i have been doing well and have come across a lot of funny and happy and sad and maddening and random things in the past months and wish i could share it all!

i came across this yesterday, which made me laugh out loud... (first time "LOL" really happened at the same time...) big bang and their new north face ad vs teletubbies!!

also recently decided to get the latest album from super junior after all... at first i was shocked at how large the whole thing was (the size of a vinyl record!) and didn't get it... but thinking about it, heechul will need to do his mandatory military service soon (along with leeteuk)... so this would be one of the last albums for awhile with him! so paid extra and got his cover :D

oh how i will be missing his craziness..... and also the crazy dance/funk/electronic style of sj...

super rainy week coming up :( not looking forward... glad i ran out to grab this before it was sold out (most stores didn't have his covers already!) or it'd be hard to do that in today's weather...

i haven't posted in ages... i think it's because there are so many other ways to update people now (sms, what'sapp, and of course facebook) that it makes it harder for me to just sit down and blog away as i used to... however, becuase of this most important news, i have to blog.. photos just can't explain how i feel!

i'm an auntie again!!! this time a 姑姐.... what i love and also find crazy about the chinese language is how there are so many variations to your identity.. in english, an aunt is an aunt.. but in chinese, depending on if it's your older/younger brother/sister, your name title may change... so with marcus, i'm his 姨姨, with caden i'm his 姑姑!

on June 3, 2011, a lovely new life was brought into this world: caden!!!

he is absolutely adorable, utterly beautiful and so so so so tiny and cute and innocent and did i say he was cute? we don't know whether he resembles my bro or my sis in law yet, but we DO know he's absolutely gorgeous and i'm super super proud to be his aunt... after he came home, i held him when he was just barely four days old.. and it was such a wonderful feeling...! the first time with marcus, i was a little too scared and definitely unsure of what to do.. so i only held him a short while.. but with caden, i was much better and held him for a longer time...

i think the most amazing thing about having a baby in the family is feeling all this love rushing out of you that you didn't think possible.. not only is he someone you love without even KNOWING him, you know you'll do anything for him!

Praise the Lord for bringing this beautiful child in my life :) i am super super super blessed and am reminded each time i look at my two amazing nephews... auntie loves you both!

luna sea ~ reboot concert!

quick update to say... the Luna sea concert was absolutely amazing..... we got free tickets to go to the concert on 11 Dec (last saturday) and i was super glad i ended up going because sugizo DID end up playing his lovely violin and the whole atmosphere was amazing!! :D soo hyped and excited... glad that nic went with me!

it was such a great opportunity to take a photo when the house lights were all on :D look how excited everyone is!

the other amazing thing was how they played old + new songs... and it felt so good to listen to songs that i grew up with, as well as hear their newer work... and also hear new versions of older songs.. super nice....

i hope they continue with their work and look forward to hearing more lovely music from them!!!

happy holidays in advance :D need to update about my korea trip and such.. so will do that soon (hopefully)... i've mailed out cards so everyone should receive them soon~ (if i got the deadlines correct...)

FT Island's "so today" was released yesterday!! :D my copy came right on time and i'm super glad that i ordered from this company as they ship things off BEFORE they're officially released so it arrives either early or on the day of the release so you don't need to rush off to buy a copy~

being the fan that i am, i bought two version of the single, one with a dvd (which i've yet to see) and one with a random figurine.. i was hoping to get hongki's character but ended up with seunhyun's.. which is ok as they actually end up looking the same i think?!

i'm back from korea! i had an awesome trip and need to take time and upload photos.. so hopefully can do that tonight and have some lovely photos to show everyone...

i loved the trip but ended up spending SO MUCH T__________T and just before x'mas time too!!

it's such nice weather in HK lately... so glad that autumn is here and it's dry, breezy, sunny and comfortable!

however, today is a bit cold.. 18 degrees sounds 'hot' to some ppl or 'warm' but for some reason it's quite chilly here.. seems like i never wear enough! maybe after 5 years in hk i've finally adapted to the weather?!

i visited my nephew on sunday with fishy and took a lot of photos of him holding marcus! everything was adorable and i wish i could have taken more.. most are on my fb, but one shot i didn't include (because marcus was moving so his face is blurred, unfortunately) i actually love a lot... because fishy is smiling:

so i hadn't gotten around to posting things from my nephew's 100th day, but i'll just post the photos i did manage to take (my own poloroids hee) here~ it's been posted in my picture book, as well as in fb, so technically it's nothing new XD

onto other random updates, i managed to the unthinkable yesterday: i broke the corner of a cabinet using my thigh... kindly note the damage done:

yes.. my thigh.. and what's happened is that my thigh now has this huge bruise that's swelled like an egg.. the actual contact point is not bruised but the area around it is all purple and blue, and looks like someone BIT my thigh rather than me hitting something =_=;;;; clumsy me... or rather, the cabinet was in the wrong place and moved out to deliberately hit me!!!! XD

this week, nothing new... just one more month to go ~____~ i can't wait for it to be over... i've never been so nervous in awhile and after i get this over with, i'll be MUCH better i think.. :D

other updates, korean class is fun XD learning a whole new language at this age is hilarious for me because the class is funny, the language is not something i ever understood ever before, and i dont' really watch many korean dramas so i technically have not really paid much attention to often used terms/vocabulary/expressions etc. (other than watching "you're beautiful" that is)....
it's also funny because i don't have the strong voice for the language! it's different from japanese in that japanese is much softer?? and korean is a little bit more.. hmm.. a bit more 'strength' is used haha.. so i sound like a japanese person speaking korean.. the teacher keeps telling me to speak up XD
i do love the language tho.. it can be quite beautiful, especially in hong-gi's song as his voice puts so much expression into his words and into a language i've never really paid attention to before... :D
next tues, we'll be learning CONVERSATION words (ooooh...) so hopefully i can say some phrases by the end of that class haha...

i had some fun last weekend trying out the new playstation move... it's like wii, except it detects front to back motion as well as up and down.. and also the remotes are a lot more easy to detect, unlike wii when it didn't seem to do what i wanted it to do :(

just wanted to post some photos of some gifts i received over the last few days... :D

first off, two new additions to my miffy family!! his name should be Boris the Bear (yes, with capital letters) and i never saw him outside of the miffy and friends box set, so i was SUPER glad to see him at the store i went into~ one has this very soft, ruffled fur, and the other is a crying bear... which fishy kept insisting was very "cute" (poor thing..)

haven't take photos of myself in a LONG time @.@ so it was great when i went to visit my nephew and we got a shot of me and my sis in law holding onto marcus!! XD this was also posted in fb so it's not a new photo :D (my sis in law is the one actually holding him)

my boss has commented "your hair has gotten lighter and lighter" and i was all "errr... heh.. heh... " (very unsure of what to say) "yeah... err.. i keep washing it and it gets lighter...." and thank goodness his mood is ok and he laughed and walked off.. haha

i love this nephew of mine so much! he has the cutest expressions and he KNOWS what he wants and will demand it! haha... can't wait to watch him grow up.. :D i hope i can show him the world and be there for him always ~

i also took advantage of my recent interest in FTI and "You're Beautiful" to take Korean classes XD haha it's very weird for me because i've been studying Japanese for most of my life and had never considered this language before.. but after visiting Korea last year and realising it was one place where i absolutely had NO idea what the signs, menus and receipts etc were saying (they don't use english often...) and people didn't really understand me (i spoke Japanese, Mandarin and English haha...), i realised it was the one place where i had no clue how to communicate if i didn't happen to know mandarin or japanese XD...
and of course, due to hong-gi's brilliant and emotional voice, the inner crazy primadonna in me is tempted to learn what he's actually singing about XD
and lastly... my passion for languages along with wanting to learn "different" (aka the 'unique snowflake syndrome' haha...) things, i chose Korean. hopefully it'll be fun and i'll actually have use for it.. haha

class starts sept 21... wish me luck :P

i've been sooo busy lately with many random things, but basically they're all good things, such as doing more sports, more yoga, seeing more friends, seeing marcus more etc etc... :D

anyway... i've been having badminton fridays and i realise i'm no longer sore the following day! yay! haha.. this is a big improvement for me, as i used to have back pain, arm pain, leg pain etc. the days after i play badminton but it's all gone now~ even after badminton, then yoga, then full day of disney i am totally not sore ~ haha ::is proud::

this weekend, i also went to celebrate Marcus' 2 month birthday :D will upload photos later.. i tend to upload them on fb because i want my sis' and bro in law's friends to be able to see them too~ i don't think there's a more diligent aunt than me and i'm pretty sure i upload photos of him more often than most parents do of their own kids =_=;;;

I LOVE YOU!
he's turning into a lovely, beautiful boy and i'm super excited to see him every chance i've got!

so cute! i think he's amazed because he hasn't seen so many males before (lower voices?) and last few times they visited, marcus was either asleep or else his eyes weren't developed where he could see properly~

also went to disneyland with my friends over the weekend...

2. i'm glad we went when we had free tickets
3. glad we tried the disney dim sum (they look better in person, i swear haha)4. either i'm getting too old for roller coasters or space mountain really is dizzy-inducing.. =__= i was literally walking in circles after i got off the ride!!
5. i have a big infected bite on my foot... i actually took photos to show that i'm not exaggerating when i say i need to put insect repellent + repellent stickers on me wherever i go :(

i finally went to see the dr yesterday because it grew so painful and swollen and my foot began to grow numb D:.. not only do i need to wash my foot once a day with their antiseptic wash, i have to put on antibiotic cream + take antibiotics =__= and i was just saying the other day how i no longer need to rely on western medicine as much!!!

onto other happier things, FT island's album was released TODAY, 25 August! YAY! it's a mini album which means only a few songs, but i love their new song "love love love" and the beautiful video for it... i adore the marionette + dark mood to the video... and hongki's voice is amazing as usual :heart: will attempt to buy their album after work today~ :D

(on another side, side note, hongki joined twitter as well! yay!!)

recently heard this lovely song by the japanese singer "Kokia" who has the most wonderful and beautiful new-age-ish songs... this particular song is from this anime we watched over the weekend, called "Gin-iro kami no Agito" (something to that effect)... and i loved the mood of it, and the MUSIC!

PS: the tragedy in the philippines makes me so sad... to know that this normally happy situation (ie. vacation with family) suddenly turned into a nightmare.. and then the nightmare turned into a tragedy when it could have been avoided is just too sad.. i can't read related news anymore because i feel tears in my eyes just imagining what it was like at that moment. my prayers go out to the survivors, the family members and all people involved..

i read this blog entry one day, about how for every 100-200 people that love you and adore you, there will always be someone who will dislike you for any specific or non-specific reason... and i really agree with that so much...

i think we sometimes waste a lot of time trying to make that ONE person love us, or like us, or even at the barest "not dislike" us... but when you think about it, we should focus more on the 100 that DO love and care for us, and how big a blessing they are to us in our lives~

my dearest nephew was born on 22 June!!!

nicknamed 'tiger' since he was still in his beautiful mommy's tummy, the name stuck and i think it'll forever be his nickname (whether he likes that or not)... and his full name, or even more so, his Chinese name, will be used in full by us when we 1. want his attention; 2. most likely are scolding him xD

however, no matter what name we use to call you, we love you!!!!

i would LOVE to write in detail everything about his birth, but i'm much happier to just summarise and say: i'm glad mommy and baby are doing super well and i am so thankful and feel so blessed by the Lord :D

auntie is also super tired :(
not much sleep the whole week (and the days before), waking up early and helping out as much as i can... although i took days off, i think i'm much more tired than i would be if i was at work XD however, it's soso so so so so so x 1000000000000000000 infinity, worth it when you stare into his lovely little face and watch as his little lips twitch as if hes in some happy dream world :3

and most importantly, describing it is difficult.. showing the photos of him for the first week of his birth would do a better job..

lots of upcoming things.. so excited ~ XD

1. so excited.. first of all: 8 more days till i'm officially an "Aunt". XD can't wait! can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2. this saturday i'm going to watch Jang Geun Seuk's mini fan's meeting/concert... xD i saw an advertisement for it awhile back and was surprised i could still get decent seats.. so me and Ms. Snow will be goign (since fishy said he will never go with me since this is not hyde, gackt or laruku type.. this type of show is purely for fangirls like me haha...)

3. just booked tickets to see Cyril the street magician XD excited because i loveee magic shows, and i find ppl who can trick people with sleight of hand are pretty amazing (being a slow person and not very fast at doing these things :P).. can't wait~

4. i pierced my ears again! after 10 years since my last piercing (man i'm getting older :( 10 years ago haha...), i finally found the chance to pierce my cartilage again, as i dislike even number of piercings and have always wanted odd number... so basically now, i have two on the bottom, one on the cartilage (upper part of ear) for my left ear, and three on the bottom, (new) two on the cartilage (upper part of ear) for my right ear~

a total of eight holes, but instead of even number on both sides, i went with 3-5 haha XD surprisingly, this time hurt less than my first piercing did.. maybe done well/better?! (earrings are mismatched as I was lazy this morning hahah.. and grabbed whatever i saw XD) i chose the smallest earring they had so it would be less noticeable :P

5. saw jachy again on saturday!! :D hadn't seen him since .. maybe 4-5 years ago?! but this time was much more brief, for 40 mins as i had a yoga class after and he had to fly in the afternoon back to canada! i hope he stays for longer next time..will scan "evidence" that we met soon :D

6. got some nice gifts :D one of them is put on my desk at work and i loveeee it~ so adorable:

i chose it with fishy and he bought this, as well 'plaque' that's quite similar.. i first saw it in my sister's place and liked it so much fishy got me one too! :D i will to put in my room for now, and in my future home (whenever that is haha)..

this is currently at my desk at work... i dunno how long i'll change the date, but i LOVE the ark.. so so so cute!

and a gift from my friend.. thanks my dear! the famous 'pig rabbit' (please excuse the things on my desk... i 'stole' a photo using my iphone =_=; and that windows book that props my monitor up is now changed to something less.. "flashy". XD

she's currently also on my desk at work..xD

this year was very rushed, and you had to finish off stuff on the day of your bday, with no 'special' lunch from your colleagues, no day off, no early off, and worst thing: you had to finish something up and left work super late..... but, hope you were a little bit surprised afterwards :D i am so thankful for this day.."

thank goodness we weren't planning anything big :D and i still managed to surprise him a bit..

i had a great morning... breakfast at our favorite landmark cafe with some of my favorite people, lunch at this yummy 潮州 restaurant in shang wan~ i was able to rush off work a bit early and pick up our favorite cake at awfully chocolate, then rush home to hide it in my fridge~

i then went to elements a bit earlier to shop around for "things" and ended up unscathed (as the bag i was looking at isn't even available yet haha) .... we had a fast-ish dinner since he was late off work and we were both super tired by then haha... (hey, i woke up at 6:15 for breakfast haha)~

okay... i found something i liked so much, i decided to give in and blog about it... it's kind of embarrassing because i realise i have many secret 'guilty pleasures' and one of them is: "funny love stories involving pretty people in music related themes". i gave it that long descriptive term because i need to be clear about what type of love story i like and the elements that make me like it so much! so.. i confess.. i'm a sucker for that type of thing...

so, to restart this blog entry.

i've been watching this amazing korean drama on tv lately... and have gotten so hooked i need to watch it a second time (note: it's 'need').. it has had me laughing and crying over it (well crying not so much, but i am always emotionally affected by any show that has music/musicians in it)... after seeing it on J2, the 'young tvb' channel on tv so many times, i couldn't help but got myself a copy and watched it all in the span of two nights.. yes, i slept super late to finish it haha...

it's called "You're beautiful" 미남이시네요, and is the story about a idol pop all male band that's very popular in korea, and who just had a fourth member audition to join. but unknown to most everyone else, she's actually female and is filling in for her identical twin brother while he's in america getting 'fixed up' after having messed up plastic surgery. (something like that)

there are so many reasons why i love this show..

characters: the main male character (who, without his makeup, is not someone i would really notice haha...) is styled like a hyde/gackt cross over... i am in love with his clothes (i'm not embarrassed to admit he's dressed like how fishy would normally dress) and his hair. you can see the two photos below to see what the styling team did.. first photo is from an older tv show he did, and below it, his whole look is changed. (no they don't get married, but this is one of those 'dreaming scenarios' which was hilarious)

Jang Geun Suk as Hwang Tae Kyung, Jung Yong Hwa as Kang Shin Woo and Lee Hong Ki as Kang On Yu / Jeremy:

and the main female character is... adorable... her personality in the show and how she can pull off looking like a guy at times and not look just like a very pretty girl when she's "pretending" to be male.

it's not overly sappy, it's not boring.. but actually very funny and touching.. and best of all, the characters can all actually SING pretty well, with two of the four band members actually in a real life band. i am in love with the songs and cannot get it out of my head at all (hence, i need to blog haha..) and i really love tae kyung/jang geun suk's voice so much!

as well, they have such funny dialogue and 'dream scenarios' that make fun of/exaggerate some stereotypes in real life~ i am sent into fits of laughter randomly (like the scene about the fan fictions written about them hahaha..)~

i'm not gonna say anymore about the plot but.. i'm seriously hooked and wish it wasn't over but it is~ after 16 entertaining episodes~

after watching it, i'm reminded of how much tae kyung (the main male character) and female min nam (the main female character) are like fishy and i. not the personality but the interaction, and the story between the two of them. it makes me laugh and remember things from the past and realise the similarities.. of course fishy isn't a narcissist like tae kyung but ... i think it's just something i felt after watching it.. and i think it's why i like it so much haha... at least i know for sure, fishy will agree i am as clumsy and cause as much trouble for him as go mi nam does for tae kyung xD

i'm so glad that after watching mei-chan no shitsuji i have an even better drama to fill the void after finishing that series xD i am such a sucker for these stories and for these 'types'...(yet another 'confession').. maybe that's why i wanted to marry hyde since i was 13. =_=;

anyway... i'll stop rambling now... i'm just very hyped over this story because i was really entertained in what would have been a not so entertaining weekend xD

lately due to many reasons (basically relating to sickness/medicines and such), i've been feeling that melancholy mood, something i haven't felt in ages. it may sound crazy, but in some ways this melancholy coldness, alone-ness, it's so empowering. maybe because the last time i've experienced this was back in highschool, when i was 15-16, and was the least sure of myself.. but this time around, i am so much more in control of it than i was then. maybe it's because i'm sure of myself but also because i have support from my special dears, and also because i know these feelings are not from me but caused by factors that will get better!

it's just sooo liberating...!
at this time, what i love to do is re-listen to super old music from the past.. gackt, hyde, laruku, malice mizer, escaflowne, etc.

and also find NEW songs that feel great to listen to: pandora hearts in particular..(reminds me of you!)

the best part? i'm not alone.... i remember being very touched to find out that fishy was feeling that way (or a lot that way) for most of his life, so he understands... and so we can listen to things together and share in this sweet melancholy feeling.. sounds very cliche but very very very .. 'real' haha...

i am so glad i found that escaflowne soundtrack for him.....

my mission is to learn "parting song" and melody (eliot and leo version!) and play for him xD

for anyone who hasn't already, please go and read/watch/listen to pandora hearts.. it's absolutely beautiful... i can't wait to see/read more of it! :D

i had a great lunch today with two of my pals from work... discussing vacations is one of the best ways to cope with stress.. (then somehow managing on going on them is another method haha)

i also was soooo glad to see the Js in HK when they stopped by..... it was like a dream.. and hopefully they'll visit somewhere and we can meet up again soon!!! love love love you guys!

augh been so busy.. have a ton of pics I took for the "weekly" photo challenge set by Mr. Tuna, but i haven't been able to post them.. i know it sounds like a ton of excuses, but the only time i'm on my computer is at work and i don't usually have my memory card or the time to upload photos ~_~ as for being at home, when i get off work, it's late (after dinner) and i don't really want to turn on my computer and sit in front of it, which I've just been doing for the last 10 hrs haha.. so i prefer to practice harp and such...

and on weekends, fishy usually uses my laptop for work, so i'm left with the tv and harp instead of my laptop again...

i'll find time for it, i promise!!

on a side note, it's easter soon, and i found the following cute thing in the paper today(thanks to fishy):

a Miffy themed room for Easter!!! this is at the 黃金海岸 hotel, and it makes me want to go T_T but then again, i (definitely?) probably have more or all of the miffys they have there but i do want to go there to take photos! apparently there's also a 6 metre tall miffy (blow up kind) outdoors as well?! and miffy desserts at the buffet?!

the bedspread is so adorable!!! the good thing out of all this, is that fishy agreed to allow me to mifficize any future house we live in.. hahaha.... (ie. miffy0-theme everything :D :D :D)

i've been watching a great anime recently called Pandora Hearts. based off a continuing manga (hasn't ended yet, and i want to buy it!), it ended sooo abruptly, with so many unanswered questions that i was hoping, no begging that there will be a second season! the music, the drawings, the storyline, the funny/serious moments.. every single second was amazing.

it has a loosely based 'alice in wonderland' theme, which is pretty interesting because i also ended up watching the alice in wonderland movie in 3-d last friday with fishy as well.. i loved it, as it made the original alice movie less ... scary i guess? i was never a fan of that story, but this tim burton version was definitely very beautiful.. the costumes, johnny depp's acting, and the whole dreamy ethereal quality of the movie was so pretty.

anyway, the anime and the movie had such pretty clothing in it that it made me have this sudden urge to look for more of that dreamy type of clothing -- can't really explain. just beautiful (and wanted to comment on it xD).. the name even sounds better to me now a-ri-su ~~

hopefully i'll have time to look for the manga pandora hearts this week.... so want to know what's happening!!!

happy year of the tiger!!!

this is such a late post, but i've been so busy ever since the holidays (excuses excuses)... i took some photos over the longgg weekend, as well as afterwards, and need to post them since i'm way behind on the whole one photo a week thing.. :(

i had a great long weekend! however i got sick before and after cny so i hope that just means i'll be healthier later on this year.. =__=

i wish everyone good health, prosperity, and of course happiness and smiles every day :D

my weekend basically involved shopping, seeing family (both fishy's and mine) and so it was jam packed with activities. my parents didn't fly back this year :( and i miss them so much, but there'll be much more time for me to see them this year, being a new 小虎姨 and all xD, and so i'm not really worrying about that :D

a bit late, sorry... i forgot to upload photos from my memory card to use as my weekly photo so had to wait till i was home to do it =__=;;

however, here it is, a photo of the agnes b biscuits that i bought for fishy's random gift (actually my gift to myself too, since i loved the bunny shaped cookies for the heck of it xD). these cookies were on sale back in mid-autumn festival time and they include the lovely cookie jar seen below. in a humid country like hk, having these air tight containers are sooo good.. at least you can enjoy the cookies for longer!!

the cookies were also made by people with disabilities, and sponsored by a part of the tung wah hospital that helps these ppl get job training to assist in job searching... the cookies were delicious :D

I haven't blogged in awhile because I've been busy and also I've been updating/posting pics mainly on facebook :(

however, as I received a certain J9's Christmas card yesterday, I felt obligated to take her hint and update this blog of mine, that's slowly gathering dust... but which I need to make good use of in 2010!

i miss so many of my beloved friends in toronto/vancouver/US/australia/japan and wish i could spend the holidays with them! i feel sooo loved and warm and fuzzy, and it's always this time of the year when i miss them the most!

I wish everyone a happy, healthy 2010, and truly wish everyone ALL THE BEST.

there have been a lot going on this year.. from the bad economy eventually improving, weddings, babies, new friends, new experiences... but my most precious gift to myself is being able to get baptised this 20 December 2009, and to be able to share that joy with sooo many of my close friends and family, and to receive so many well wishes from around the world! that is truly my biggest blessing of my life.

after being in the hospital suddenly, and having fish and my dearest sister take care of me all night made me so so so touched and to try even harder to respect, cherish and care for everything around me.. thanks so much..

new years' resolutions! i'll make ten of them, and hopefully will be able to keep around 5 hahah..

1. post a photo every week in this blog - start by taking photos whenever i see things, then choose the one i want to post this week and post it on monday.

2. play more badminton/do more yoga/exercise!! - no excuses this time!

3. eat healthier, and open up myself to more veggies and fruits - less 揀飲擇食/pickiness!

4. practice my harp more and play even better - something i already am trying my best to do

5. actually FINISH ffxiii instead of playing 99% of it (like the other ffs haha...)

6. email/chat/call/keep contact with all my dears around the world even more often than i am now...

7. clean up my closet - and STAY clean...

8. be more patient towards people, especially during times of stress XD

9. try my best to rely less on western medicine (which i'm already doing :D)

10. try to serve the Lord to the best of my ability -- something i really want to work even more on! and ensure i make time for bible study/prayers and such.. :D

those dont' seem TOO hard to keep now.. but who knows :P i will do my best!!

my hair grew back quite long.. so i've been feeling like doing something with it XD so.. i played with my straightener yesterday morning to make a semi-perm/wave thing :D i think i'll keep experimenting (or buy the curler set my teacher recommended)... my hair has been long in university and i never did a thing with it =___=.. so.. never too late :D

i almost never smile like that, but as it's a crappy quality webcam pic (didn't want to ask someone to take a pic for me =__=;), i decided it didnt' look so bad :D my smile is almost always crooked D: but i took this to show silly, and it doesn't look too bad (and she says i look better, so i guess it's post worthy? haha)

a lot of comments such as "you look different!" today XD it kind of flattened/straightened out at the end of the day because i didnt' really put anything in it or any effort in really curling it.. hope it'll last longer tomorrow since i feel like doing it again tomorrow morning :D

lots of friend's (good friends) birthdays coming up! im' glad i got everyone's bday gift ready (except nic's and man man's.. i need to mail man man's out and nic's.. waiting for her in hk :D miss you guys so much...)

as most people may (or may not) know, i LOVE tea. green tea especially, and because of that, i have many contraptions used to drink tea with.. a new (actually old, since I saw it awhile back but never got it because i had those mini tea pockets to put tea leaves inside to make a tea bag) thing for me to drink tea with:

this is a silicone tea filter shaped like a music note! i wish it came in pink or blue but purple was the closest.. it's so pretty once used in a glass cup :D i haven't used it yet, but will do so soon~

there goes my random post XD i think writing short posts with random things to post is a lot easier for than a long rambling post...

khalil fong 方大同 August 2009 live in HK~

need i say more? i was able to get tickets to see khalil's live in hk on 29 august 2009! it was an extended concert date and thank goodness i was finally able to see the last show of soemone's concert in hk, as they tend to be the best.

to review the concert quickly, i have to admit that i was "ok" about him before this, as i did like his songs but i was unsure about his ability to perform live.... however, once the show started, i was completely SOLD.

we managed to get seats (me, shir, fishy, mui) right behind Joey Yung, Soler, Fama, and this famous taiwanese singer and his friend (i forget the name yet again, even though shir shir tried her best to remind me.. haha), which was great because they were so enthusiastic! khalil also spent most of his time on our side, which made it even better :D

the whole concert was dedicated to his latest cd, timeless, which is a cover of some older songs by various artists. he also managed to sing most of his last two albums, PLUS a song off of his first album as well! he managed to sing the ENTIRE time, stopping only for a few seconds for water, or to say a few words of intro for the next song, and also for the two encores towards the end. i have never, ever heard any singer attempt that previously and i was floored.. his voice was amazing, his improv for each song amazing, and his ability to play electric guitar, acoustic guitar, grand piano, keyboard/synth, drums, AND DANCE (for our show only) really, really just.. well.. killed it for me. he's amazing!

and in the beginning, i was wondering why his voice was a little '沙' when he spoke, but he spoke very little in his 'charming' cantonese (as english is his first language, mandarin second and cantonese third) XD no wonder! he sang the entire 3-4 hrs XD;;

anyway, the best part came at the end.. when in the second encore (i believe they only had one encore for the other shows?), he came out... to dance to billie jean!!! he sang and danced and did the trademark MOONWALK.. it was amazing!!! i was so hyped, we forgot to take a picture! it was definitely the climax of the whole concert... the whole hat, gloves, sparkling shirt, suit, plus shiny socks that were all ala the late Michael Jackson! it was absolutely AMAZING.. haha we were all cheering and dancing and it just went wild.. he was dancing so crazily that he lost his glasses after the song ended and the security guys had to search for it XD!

then at the very end, he also sang another tribute song to MJ and the concert was over... he told us that this section he rehearsed not too long ago, as he said he'd dance if he was able to have one more added concert night on the 29th, which was also MJ's birthday! it wasn't part of the previous nights' shows :D

we captured a few pics (i didn't bring a cam, mui did) and i wish i brought it afterall because he was so close to us the whole time. i made it a point to rush over and shake his hand when he passed by because he was amazingly talented XD

my parents, my sis and her husband (and family) travelled to Hokkaido last week... (as per my previous post with yummmmmy melon :D)... afterwards, they went to tokyo and saw one of the things i wanted to go see: the 1:1 gundam!!!

hihi.. long time no update :D i've been busy with stuff and internet was messed up at my home so no time to update at all :( i've taken a ton of pics over the summer which i should send to silly for my assignment and also for her review!!!

since i'm not in a writing mood lately (well.. sorta.. haha), i've decided to just write posts about things that have happened or whatever that i like/enjoyed etc.

the most recent one (haha i'm not going by a proper 'timeline' here..) is this: 日本溫室密瓜!! melons grown in Japan's greenhouses.. this one was brought fresh from hokkaido, lugged back by my parents and their friends.. ::heart:: x 10000000000000000~ sooo delicious! i've been wanting to try one for aaaaaages as it's super expensive in hk.. and i finally get a chance to try it!

it's super super juicy and tastes like candy... even fishy, who tackled the lovely thing for us haha, ate two pieces when he doesnt' eat melon (same with mom.. haha)~

the lovely 溫室密瓜 with the "T" shaped stalk (which my mom promptly pulled off when she was lifting it out of the box =__=;;)

my trip's ended already! so fast!!!

i miss everyone (friends/family in toronto, more friends and "family" in vancouver), and especially all the beautiful sunshine, blue skies, white clouds and lovely fresh air :( it makes me want to travel again really soon haha.. i'm so tempted to do it again next year, but with more time in vancouver!!!

thanks to everyone who came out to see me and to take me around ... im' super super touched because people were taking days out of their normal schedule just to be around me and organised dinners, lunches, outings etc :D thanks you guys.. i feel SO loved!

i've posted pics here and there of what's going on in my picture book and on facebook. so please go and take a look :D some pics off of my dear man man's camera haven't been given to me yet but here's one picture of me happily doing one of my favorite things: eating icecream (i always have this silly grin on my face with icecream =_=)

to make it short, i've been having many breakfasts, lunches, afternoon teas, italian food, dim sum, niagara, taco bell, hot dog.. i'm so glad i did it all XD i also had my fair share of meeting new gfs/bfs for the first time, and also seeing OLD old friends (like mr. tuna :D) whom i hadn't seen since my first years in university!

i went to the ROM, saw sound of music with some good friends, ate lovely crepe, hugged many long-time-no-see friends and had a lot of fun just going back HOME. thanks so much~

best thing was to know that home is always home; my bedroom's the same, i can still fall asleep easily in my bed, and my driving skills are still here haha...

one thing i've really gotta start is to do my weekly picture thing.. i'll start by doing a small daily photo with my iphone (makes it easy) and a weekly dslr pic and go from there... i'll post on my blog daily just for that @.@ hope i can do it! i've named it "mr. tuna's photo challenge".. hopefully it'll push me to do more photography~

i am so hyped up about my trip to toronto.. well not fully hyped yet, but i can't believe that i'm going SOON.. as in "i can count days instead of months/weeks" haha... thanks to small mui who keeps a countdown for me in her msn, the trip seems more real when now :D

thanks thanks x 100000000 to manman and frankie for "taking care of me" for the two and a half days i'm in vancouver! i am so excited to see her and frankie (and for a longer time too) that i'm kinda forgetting that the moment i go to vancouver, it also means i'm leaving toronto behind :(

upcoming, so many many many birthdays @.@

fishy, wildie, micsis, ken 阿哥, silly... and a lot more ppl... too bad i'll be missing the half of those bdays from flying around the globe =__=; (so sorry silly, i wanted to spend your bday with you but i can't leave HK at month end ~_~)

i can't wait till saturday.. when fishy's exam is FINALLY over and we have a day and a half to lounge around and not worry about him studying and me being bored xD i can't believe it's a holiday but everyone's busy (happy anniversary to my lovely darling sistee and dragon bro :heart:, btw :D :D)~

i haven't taken many pictures lately (i have a few but they're not on my phone =__= and fishy has no time to upload them...) although I've cut and dyed my hair @.@ i think we'll get a ton more pics when I'm in toronto :D

nic is in hk but currently on her australia trip ~_~ i hope she gets back soon because it's been so rainy, boring and i have hardly spent ANY time with her so far :(

Final Fantasy 13 demo and etc. ~

i did a LOT of stuff in the past few weeks but hadn't had a chance to update ~_~

1. played FFXIII Agito demo (which was part of FF7 Advent Children Japanese version Blu-ray disc)... i have to say a few things:

- the main female character "lightning" is a LOT prettier ingame than in the cgs that have been passed around. screenshots don't do her justice! as in this picture:

- Mr. Tetsuya Nomura, the character designer for FF was told to design a female chara who was like Cloud... @.@ (to be honest, since FFX-2, which i really didn't like, i'm not a fan of female leads in the ff games... but i think lightning is pretty cool, even though i'd prefer to see cloud haha)

- the ingame play is like FF8 cgs, but more lifelike.
- the ingame CGs are AMAZING... the textures, facial detail/hair, designs are breathtaking
- it's taken waaay too long to send this game out :( it's at a possible "winter 2009" deadline...
- game play is interesting, with 'action points' where you choose actions to take and you can move around a bit

overall, i love it!

2. they also included a NEW trailer for FFXII Versus (which i so want to play.. but there has been NO deadline or even gameplay features shown yet D:) !!!

- i LOVE it!! i can't wait to see how gameplay is, and the full storyline.. i love the modern-ish type of setting, and i love the characters...

noctis (his hair reminds me of a certain Korean star @.@;;;):

stella nox (who is rinoa-esque and seems more interesting as she's supposed to be the opposition to noctis):- funny thing: while bro and i were watching the trailer, fishy came over, and as he walked in, my bro and i were like "!!!!! :O!!!!" because fishy was dressed EXACTLY like noctis in the trailer!!! as in the below (i wish i took a pic of fishy to show =__=):

i am soo looking forward to this.. if only square-enix would give us a date of release @.@

3. i went shopping (randomly) last night with fishy and FINALLY found a pair of the converse boots i wanted!! i have to write about it because the boots came out in Japan Dec 2008 and were limited to Japan but i.t. had ONE pair left, in black and MY size :D yayyyy~ i was so happy... and knowing they have the 40% discount thing going on is even happier~ i also managed to get my 'boyfriend cut' blazar (although fishy "nicely" offered me his own jacket instead, as he said it'd look the same =__=;;) and one that i look GOOD in~

there was a lovely sakura tree display inside harbour city over the weekend XD i actually didn't notice it till i stopped by the agnes b delices story to buy some chocolates for fishy @.@ i was carrying a ton of stuff from badminton (and shopping for home stuff at francfranc) so i had sat down on a bench in front of the trees, THEN realised what they were XD

unfortunately, pics taken with an iphone camera, and also with the display inside a mall, there was no way to aim the camera/phone at the actual trees to make it look authentic :( i tried my best xD

it would be nice if this was in the middle of anywhere but an HK mall xD;

i also managed to clean the flat so that it looks MUCH tidier than my last pics XD i also freed my larger miffys (although some others are still stuffed into white plastic bags D:) and put away all those 紅白藍 bags~

and also: HAPPY BIRTHDAY APPLE~~ so glad to work with you and also start this new badminton sunday thing xD hope we both can become healthier and stronger this year @.@

re: new flat...
thanks everyone for the help and also comforting words about getting used to the flat =___= currently i'm just needing more space to put things (my parents basically spread their stuff eveywhere since they weren't going to be living there often anyway and wouldn't have much stuff altogether, and also figured i wouldn't move in hahah..) and also have a problem with those dratted silverfish! they appeared out of nowhere the other day, following some crazy changes in humidity (from 60% to 90% @.@;;;) , and i was forced to kill 3 ~_~;;; hopefully after i live in a bit they'll disappear as the house is pretty dry anyway....

i've JUST moved (during the Easter long weekend) so it's been soo busy for me @.@ kind of last minute thing but it'll be good for me :D

so sorry for the rush as well, but it was best to do it during easter long weekend~ thanks to micsis and bro who lent me over 16 紅白藍 bags to use, plus two of their suitcase and i also had multiple bags to hand carry plus my mini miffy suitcase... to a total of 24 items (not including my two bags that i hand carried lol)..

current mood: super sleepy due to 1. not sleeping well in new bed and environment, 2. the longgg break, 3. super humid and hot in my room but the a/c is quite "dangerous" to use at the moment (not cleaned .. no time! lol), 4. my neat freak genes (thanks mom!) causing me to want to clean up at least SOMETHING each time i come home... (even though my MOM told me to leave it as is and get some sleep....)

i've been sooo lazy in updating lately because i've been busy with lessons, badminton, work (hmm it's number three.. lol), seeing friends and basically not having too much time to write ~_~ and also i dont' think i have too many interesting things to talk about hahah

however, i did receive/buy some random happy things that i'd like to share :D

the weather being super cool in hk lately, fishy and i decided to head over to 女人街 and see if we could find the octopus card sticker that he wanted to get awhile back.

we ended up buying these reallllly adorable cut-out cutters (? lol i have no idea what to call them.. cut-out punchers?) which i tested out on our journal:

it's soo adorable! not only can you use this for the cut-out but the punched out section looks adorable and can be used to decorate things XD *is proud*

second thing we got was this nice sticker for the octopus card.. unfortunately they only had one so i took it :3 excuse the weird angle, as it was hard to take a picture of, being sparkly and all xD it's leaning against the lovely lovely coffee grinder fishy got me in taiwan. i need to find a chance and take pics of it alone as it's super lovely, and very steampunk-ish, laputa-world-y~

and finally, the book came :D it's written by 彎彎, a taiwanese girl who's known for her simple drawings and funny, down to earth humour on her day-to-day life :D this book wasn't available in any of the bookstores in HK since it's release last last week so i had to order it from taiwan.. it's super cute xD i highly recommend her other books!
and.. a "bonus".. fishy recently (OMG FINALLY, after TWO MONTHS) sent me pics from my birthday dinner, and i found that he captured a perfect scowl on my face... i had to upload this for the hilarious factor and because i remember how ugly i felt that day (i looked so weird in every single picture i took =__=) and none of the pictures were turning out well, and ppl were walking around etc etc and i got pissed xD and no.. unfortunately i'm not really faking this scowl haha...

on another side note, super thanks to mr. tuna, who is one of the several superheroes of mine who volunteered to drive me home from the airport as i needed a ride in june when i fly to toronto :D (thanks jay and silly & keith as well!! you guys are awesome too xD) his fast "i'll be there" before i had even asked him if he could do it was sooo sweet as it was a working day and i'm arriving in toronto at 5:45am with a big suitcase, carry-on bag and a bad case of airplane smell =__=;

however, i just learnt about 2 mins ago some BIG CHANGES to my schedule.. apparently my trip to toronto is not gonna be what it seems to be...

i hate wearing this mask =__= it annoys the hell out of me cuz i can barely breathe even though fishy helped me cut a really nice and invisible 'gap' for me to breathe out of ... hopefully i can take this stupid thing off and destroy by friday.. in case anyone's curious, i'm wearing those SARS-like masks...

one of my lovely colleagues at work told me i look like a 公仔 (doll) and resemble '雪糕妹' . at first i was thinking "hmm who is that @.@" and realized it was an 80s doll that resembles raggedy ann type of doll with yarn for hair... and the main thing was her face: her freckles.

after googling her this is what i found:

haha...at least they say it's not a bad thing and i look "得意" and "可愛" because my face looks really 'fake' ... -.-;;

at least 雪糕妹 has a friend :D (fishy? haha..)

'yeah' show~ :D

a short post to write about the 2009 'yeah show' that i went to on saturday with fishy, my sis and her friend (as my bro in law couldn't make it back in time). for those who haven't heard of it, it's a great big 佈道會 where famous stars/singers work together to worship God and provide testimonials and perform etc etc. some of the famous guests this year include 孫耀威, 關心妍 (who both had testimonials), and 森美 and the main speaker was, of course, the pastor 林以諾牧師.

my sis somehow managed to get first row, RIGHT in the middle seats so it was a great view with no obstructions :D however, it was hard to take pics cuz the lights were super bright and i only bought my normal point and shoot ... so excuse the 'blown out' fuzzy-ish faces xD

關心妍's (Jade) testimonial was very touching and i think it helped a lot that she discussed and described in detail about the most current and embarassing event that circulated youtube for weeks (for those who dont' know, she went on stage and took the award from the person who just received it because she thought she won it @.@). HK is a place where ppl JUMP on any small misatkes famous ppl make and i can imagine how it felt that moment @.@ the song she sung afterwards was also very very touching and i was glad to hear her testimonial, especially as i hadn't really paid much attention to her beforehand and, to be honest, didnt' care much for her.

it was really nice to see 孫耀威 on stage, although i wasn't sure what his testimonial really was about @.@ i've always liked his voice (i used to be a fan of his in elementary school hahaha...) and i really loved the song he wrote for God.. so beautiful and touching and hearing him sing the song he wrote live actually said much more than his actual testimonial.

森美 performed this magic show.. and it turned out that his volunteer was the actual magician! (he was sitting behind us too lol).. it was very entertaining and fishy told me i was like a little kid .. XD (i'm a sucker for 'magic shows' hahah...)

林以諾牧師 was hilarious.. i liked his dvds and i was glad to see he didn't let me down in this show XD i just kept laughing and laughing with fishy (especially the part about wives/gfs before and after... hahaha and the whole thing about 'owning husband's head'... XD)

i highly recommend ppl to watch this :D especially my dear friends in toronto when it'll show sometime in june~

currently it's quite cold in HK for march.. i hope everyone takes care and doesn't get sick~ (especially those in super cold canada D:)

i'm back xD (for nearly a week actually haha)...

i've been super super lazy in uploading photos and such this week because i got sick (yet again) from Korea and needed time to rest and practice my beloved instrument so decided not to write/upload things till i was free-er~ my mom also left on saturday (D:) and my dear brother ray's wedding was tonight so i was VERY busy~

to summarise my trip, it was a LOT of fun... i'm glad i had a chance to travel with my darling sister and do a girly shopping trip with her (and i mean PURE shopping) :D we normally dont' get too much time to see each back in HK as she has to study/work and i have work/practice/friends/etc and so we actually only see each other most on sundays when we attend church and have lunch and such.

korea is a great place to go shopping, especially since their Won fell to super lows against the HKD when we went (i think it's still falling D:) and it made EVERYTHING super super cheap :D i got tons of la neige products for my friends/family/myself and also got a lot of really nice clothing at MK prices xD (cheaper than MK even..)

however, looking back, i realised i didn't take too many pictures as we didn't really go sightseeing and i had left my dslr in hk as i knew this would be a shopping-only trip~ so, not too many pics to share unfortunately :(

i've arrived in Seoul, Korea! :D

it's really nice here because it's cold yet it's not like canada's -20 degrees. it just started snowing earlier this evening and it was sooo nice.. i haven't seen snow in ages and i won't go back to toronto during wintertime (don't want to be stuck in the snow~) so it's really nice to be able to walk the streets while it's snowing and in a place i haven't been to before!

i'm just relaxing in my hotel now, after half a long day of walking, and looking over the goodies i got :D i just realized i left my memory card adapter at home or else i'd be able to upload pics right away to show what everything looks like ~_~

we walked only a small area today, with lots of tiny shops and such, and will wake up earlier tomorrow to take a look at more things.. i can't wait XD

i've got a bit of a 'itchy' throat (the type that makes me cough =_=;) which i hope will go away soon~

as i've been very busy the past few days (work, was sick etc ~_~), i hadn't had a chance to update with pictures of stuff i got over my bday (as my actual bday pics were already uploaded onto fb and flickr)... well, since one of my birthday gifts was something that encouraged me to take brighter pictures, i thought, why not take use it to show off some of the fabulous things ppl have sent me :D

but.. i've yet to do that (sorry mr. tuna, i was busy T_T) but will do that soon, i promise!

in the meanwhile, enjoy some valentines day chocolates i made for some dears of mine (they tasted OK but i wasn't sure if my taste was off due to my fever lol)~ it has more of a swiss chocolate, melty type feeling to it, which i hope everyone is ok with...

hk is a very commercialized place, so for people to not have a date on vday is *GASP* OMGGG-worthy...... which i think is total BS, seeing as people should love each other every day the same regardless which day of the year it is =__=; so.. happy valentines day, in the sense that it should be a day when you should tell whoever you care about that you care about them, a day to say hi to some old friends and to have fun no matter what you're doing.

i hope my chocolates taste ok D:

2009 Chinese New Year Celebration :D

Happy New Year of the Ox to everyone :D like i've said previously, I wish everyone a happy, healthy and prosperous new year!

i wanted to post pics to give a quick recap of my wonderful longggg week off (i can't believe it's over already!!!)

it started on 年三十晚 (Jan 25), where we had the traditional family dinner together at my mom's place. i have to give it to her, as she prepared the feast below single-handedly and using only TWO stove tops (that's how limited it is in HK haha..) and also having gotten off the plane from toronto two days ago!

we had the usual MJ and 湯圓 afterwards (the super delicious ones from this store near times sq)~

micsis and i decided that since the camera made us look kind of 'round anyways, we might as well emphasize it XD
on 年初一, we went to my mom's place for lunch and then went out to the supermarket in festival walk to rush and buy whatever we could to prepare dinner that night at my sis' place!

as the tradition each year on the first two or three days of Chinese New year is the wear the brightest jacket we have, we realized how 'dazzling' we looked standing next to each other and couldn't resist taking this picture:

on 年初二, i had a lovely birthday lunch with timmy and jon, who both took time out just to see me before my bday~

afterwards, we had our usual yearly dinner with micsis' family and finally had some full family pics taken of us:

on 年初三, no pics were taken (i didn't bring my camera out for the day), but i went to drink tea with family, then went out to shop :D i FINALLY bought the down pillow and black turtle neck i've always wanted ~ however, the pillow was so comfy that when i went back to work on Jan 29 for half day, i could barely get myself to wake up in time =__=;;

my red pockets for 2009 :D the golden, long envelope is the look this year (aside from the beautiful purple one, courtesy of my lovely sister), and seem to be more popular than red! there are a few more that i got after i took this photo but i didn't want to retake this photo so here you go :D

happy year of the ox to everyone!

I wish everyone a prosperous, happy, healthy and relaxing year of the ox! last year was filled with ups and downs for everyone around the world, so i wish the best for everyone this year :D i thank everyone for the support i received during the past year.. last year at this time, i was totally different and, looking back, i'm glad i went thru what i did, because i see things a lot different now, and i'm happy to say i'm 10000% much better now :D

our flat was tidied up on friday night in preparation for chinese new year, as you can see in this pic below (taken with one of my brand new bday gifts!! thanks seeb XD i will post re: my bday later :D):

this is probably the tidiest it'll ever be, as my sis has banned our laptops (still here for now, will disappear tonight lol), junk under the coffee table and on the "貴妃椅", and also forced us to hide all the wires for the ps3/xbox/wii/misc machines. so.. i've taken a picture to commemorate this before this turns back to it's normal look after the holidays XD (i love the wide angle on this digicam T_T it's love~)

i will post pics of my cny stuff soon, as i'll be going to 年三十晚 dinner soon at my mom's place and will take pics (finally get to showcase the new camera bag i got yay lol)~ hope everyone will have a nice holiday as well :D i love cny tons as there's a real fresh start feeling to it (everyone gets new clothes, gets new haircuts, lots of nice gatherings etc.).. i love celebrating it in hk! :D

Ponyo on a cliff (崖の上のポニョ)~

i wanted to write a short note to say that i watched the latest Studio Ghibli movie, 崖の上のポニョ or "Ponyo on a Cliff". After the disappointing "tales of earthsea" directed by his son, i was glad (actually eager haha) to see the latest movie directed by Hayao Miyazaki himself! i went with fishy today and was enjoyed it a lot :D

I went into the theatre not knowing what the movie was about at all, and i always think it's better to do that so you dont' have any expectations :D so... I won't write out a full summary, but for those who do want to know, they can click here for the wiki site :D

after watching the movie, fishy agreed that i was a lot like ponyo haha.... and that if we met as kids, we'd probably be acting like sousuke and ponyo XD;;
i feel very 辛福 and glad to be able to see this with him :D

i also wanted to mention that last weekend fishy helped me find a place that sold 炒栗子 (so delicious, i haven't had it in awhile ) and also a store that sold 天野喜孝 puzzles! i had been looking for his puzzles for forever (ever since i had passed on the chance to buy one that came with a free frame because i was going back to toronto and had no space in luggage :( i so so so regret it that time...) and they were out of print and not making them anymore. So, when he brought me to the store, i was SOOOOOOOOOOOO touched that he helped me find a place with it.. the store owner told me that they had gotten a collector to sell their collection and that the price was set by them.. and SOOO expensive.. /cry but... i ended up buying the one that i fell in love with the moment i walked in (and there's another one i also like =_= ) although it was the most expensive one =__= i'm deciding whether or not to put it together yet, as it's picture is one that i want to hang up in my future home but... i'll see XD i may post a pic here later since i love it so much XD

hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas holiday, a fun/relaxing countdown, and will have a fantastic 2009!

i haven't updated in a long while as i got really sick since my last entry and hadn't gotten well.. it was basically:

Dec 18 - fever - western dr
Ddec 22 - not better still - western dr

then i was so drugged up during the holidays and STILL sick ... the western medicine they give here really sucks and my body i s so weak from it! so:

Dec 27 - fever (still) - chinese dr
Dec 29 - cough (terrible one) - chinese dr
Jan 2 - cough part 2 - chinese dr

and thank goodness im getting better after seeing the chinese dr~ i haven't slept since dec 24 since i kept coughing if i lean even SLIGHTLY back.. so i've been coughing myself awake every night.. (like fishy says, it's like i'm trying to 成仙 hahaha) hopefully i'll get better soon.. the chinese medicine is very good for me and helps keep me very 精神 ~

anyway.. on to some fun stuff!

i've taken a ton of pics over the holidays, all posted in my photo album and facebook. and today, i bought a really cute thing... jelly lenses for cell phone cameras!!

what they are are a bunch of different lenses with different effects (it was HK$100 for four so i chose the four i liked best) and you stick them with this silicon-like adhesive onto your cell phone (removable and restickable) and it turns your normal photos into interesting images!

this is the lens packaging:
the 'motion' focus lens (LOVE this one), lovely cup a gift from my micsis:'star lights' lens (my favorite one), taken at mong kok (blurry but i wanted to just quickly test it after i bought it XD):star light lens again, because i love it, of our chandelier (interesting thing is, normally i cannot take a pic dead on of lights or it turns really bright and overexposed, but this lens makes it pretty and sharp too):macro lens (VERY cool, this is my laptop "K" key):

my fourth lens is a fish eye one, but it doens't fit properly on my iphone =__= because the iphone has a curved body near the camera's lens, it doens't fit properly with the curved fish eye and it messes it up :( i'll have to see if i can switch for a new lens tomorrow~

sooo much fun! i'm still contemplating whether or not to get a set for mr. tuna as part of his bday gift but 1. his bday is in september (not a problem though, i always plan early), 2. he'll hear about this from me, 3. i dunno how often he takes cell phone pics (knowing which phones he uses.. hahaha)

anyway i wanted to post this to show off my 'hot out of the oven' new toy XD.. so much to look forward to so i'm not letting my coughing get to me :D

Vivienne Westwood exhibition~ :D

over the weekend, on 30 Nov, we went to see the preview vivienne westwood exhibition :D when i went inside, the displays were quite close to each other and it was dimly lit inside, but i was super glad we were allowed to take pics, just without flash :D it was also quite far @.@ but we made it on time~

here are some of my favorite pieces taken with my iphone~ unfortunately the pics aren't of amazing quality as i still haven't bought a point and shoot yet. i didn't want to bring my dslr in case there were going to be tons of people anyway and no flash was allowed (and i was correct~), and so most pics ended up being slightly blurry @.@

anyway...

i love this outfit~
the picture doesn't do these costume-like dresses justice @.@ in real life it was amazing, especially the red dress to the left.
i LOVE this tshirt! the slogan is great: 'i am not a terrorist, please don't arrest me'

i really love this coat and wish i could owni t @.@ the cutting is amazing (the left shoulder is 'interesting' haha..):i've always loved the heart jacket to the right :D it's been 'worn' by nana in the manga (i forget if mika wears it in the film @.@) and it helps that the rocking horse shoes that i love are paired with it~

happy birthday to my darling sis :D we had a lovely lunch buffet in tst, then a really delicious hot pot (beef soup :D) at mong kok!

on a side note, i highly recommend this hot pot place, as the beef soup was great and the food was very clean and tasty! the price is quite cheap too (only about HK$160 each person, and we ate a LOT)~

yes it's quite huge (my largest miffy to date, out of my 20+ miffys), and i was looking for this size in this colour for FOREVER till my dear friend found it for me :D
i really hope the curse that affects all my yellow miffys stays with those yellow miffys.. D:

25 nov: i'm actually recovering from sickness as i type this (same old neck pain.. refer to previous entry on 28 October for more info @.@) but i'm a LOT better after two days' rest and some better meds. the worst thing was the neck pain made me throw up continuously for the past two days ~_~ so until that stopped, i coudn't eat a thing D: i'm just so so thankful that i'm ok now and the dizziness is gone!

the story of cotton candy~

i had a VERY lazy weekend xD on friday, after dinner and some random shopping at langham place with fishy dear, we went back home to laze around and watch anime/project runway (yay i liked Leanne's collection and she won :D)/random tv and chat (similar to what i did on saturday)

to go off topic a bit, i'm actually watching a bunch of anime, after finishing Macross Frontier, and one of them is called "Ga Rei Zero" which is kinda mind boggling @.@ it's drawn beautifully but i've yet to get a grasp on whether there are no main characters because they all die or what @.@;; anyone else watching this and can kinda discuss with me? =.=

on sunday, we went shopping again and also went in search of fresh 炒栗子 which i'm STILL having difficulty in finding T_T it's my favorite snack in the wintertime in hk~~~ sometime in between our lovely dinner with 阿哥, fishy went and bought me some cotton candy XD i was squealing when i saw some kids walking around with some so, since i couldn't get my dear chestnuts, i got it instead XD

i took some pictures as i don't get to eat cotton candy (and such a large .. erm.. one? piece?) usually xD i'm smiling in this picture but i'm actually impatient and want to start eating @.@
it looks quite huge @.@ like a giant dustball or something...
the sequence basically went like this: take a piece, look at it (i realize i kept grabbing large pieces XD), laugh becuase it was so silly to be so excited like the other kids around me, then suddenly not caring and eating away XD
yummy :D~~

but i still want my chestnuts! according to my lovely april, there's a cart near the 火車站 in MK so hopefully i can go there to buy chestnuts this weekend @.@ i saw a cart in central today (near the 街市) but i was going back to work so there's no way i can bring the smokey/smelly chestnuts back =.= (not to mention there's no way to eat and type...)

about some other things, i received a postcard on monday from vivienne westwood that invited all vip card holders to a preview of their exhibit on 30 Nov @.@ i was a little excited as it should be something similar to the chanel mobile art exhibit except this time we got advanced tickets XD more info about the vivienne westwood exhibition can be found here

the exhibit is organised by Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and will showcase a bunch of vivienne westwood clothing and accessories from the museum's collection. as well, there'll be merchandise on sale for this exhibit. it should be interesting so i can't wait~~ it'll be open to the public (for free) from 1 December 2008 to 31 January 2009. go check it out if you're in HK at that time and like vivienne westwood :D

it's getting chillier in HK lately~~ everyone remember to wear your scarves/jackets, especially since it's flu season @.@

i had a problem with the 'silent' button on my iphone last week so i brought it to get fixed during lunch (yup, rushed to mk and back and ate lunch within an hour!). they called me back an hour later to tell me they 'fixed' it: by giving me a new one @.@ yes, it meant i had to re-wrap my phone again (sigh... for the third time..) but i got a new "jacket" for it this time as well :D

i've also (finally!) replaced my mouse "wrist" thing (ie. the thing i use to rest my wrist on when using a mouse), as my colleagues were complaining that the old wrist-rest thing (it was a cat..) was developing yellow-eye disease after prolonged use =.= (i had a male colleague tell me that it was disgusting and that even he wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole when he came over to fix my comp... which made me start thinking "hmm... maybe i should change it")

how did i spend my weekend? in pain =.=
i hurt my neck muscle (NO IDEA HOW) over the weekend, which caused this really nasty migraines, which in turn caused me to want to throw up whenever i sat in a moving vehicle, got up too quickly, looked around too quickly or slept in a bad position =.= thank goodness i'm ok now, and i'm definitely cherishing the non-painful moments~~ thank goodness for my dear fishy who took care of the annoyingly-always-sick-me~~

好慘啊 T___T 痛死我啦~~

so everyone, please be careful.. don't hurt your neck unexpectedly like me =.=

i wrapped my iphone last last week and didnt' really post pics to show it off yet so here it is~ (miffy approves of the iphone)

they did a really nice job and the protective coat over it makes it last longer and better to use than those covers~ best of all, i can change it at any time and get a new 'sticker' whenever this one wears out a bit~ XD

jay chou's new cd came out a few days ago~ i finally got a copy of it but it's only 'soso'.. i really miss his old stuff and like listening to old songs than his new ones~ however, as i am ever so glad that i'm into listening to his music again, i couldn't help but purchase his cd~ (he's one of the few artists that i would actually buy cds of..)

(i'm not sure if the miffys approve... 黃色 miffy seems kind of 黑面 here... hahaha)

on sunday i went to watch vicky, cristina, barcelona with fishy, 阿哥 and dada and really enjoyed it! i'm not the film critic type but i really enjoyed the light romantic comedy and didn't fall asleep as i thought i would~ (i was thinking it would be too 文藝) i really recommend it to people who want to watch something really random and light and kind of "comfortable"~ barcelona seems to be a really beautiful and relaxing place~ (and i recall silly saying it was a wonderful place)

i had a wonderful "update lunch" with jon today, whom i haven't seen in AAAAAAAAAAAGES (due to my being busy and his MIA-ing to a longg trip to NA) ~ we finished early and then had a long chat at the top of IFC outside in the beautiful weather and just enjoyed ourselves~

i'm super super glad we didn't delay our catch-up time anymore as we had sooooo much to update but so little time~

current mood: i am "la happy" (as i would say to mui haha)

updates again~~~

first of all, i caved in and bought ... an iphone! haha... i wanted one since before it came out but i thought "everyone and their mom has it! whats the point?!?" then out came 3g and 16gb model.. and i say "now everyone and their GRANDMOTHER has it! what's the point?" but... after getting the HTC diamond, i ditched it after 3 months use and got a 3g 16gb iphone XD i LOVE it and.. absolute no regrets as it's the absolutely best phone i've used so far~ best of all, i got fishie one as his x'mas gift so he finally has a good phone to use XD (well partially as his x'mas gift ...)

and yes i've sold my htc diamond =.=;;

secondly, i finished macross frontier and am VERY pleased with how it turned out at the end! i was so worried it'd end up as another macross 7 (ie. very stupid plot..) but nope! it kept with the original macross tradition of love triangles, music and lots of cliche plots XD the ending was kinda cliche but i LOVE the medley used at the end! the music is so amazing, i can't believe i keep listening to the ost. i just got ost2 and it's absolutely amazing~

thirdly, i forgot to mention i started playing warhammer online a few weeks back~ so far.. the graphic problems are slowly going away but it's still kinda buggy... however, 峰b and i are slowly working together (me on my lovely disciple of khaine and him on his witchelf, while he soloes his sorceress) and it's fun in that way! what class did i choose? well they told me to try melee.. so what do i do? i stick with my healer bit but do melee.. aka: i'm a melee healer XD it's fun!! at least i'm no longer hiding behind corners, but i'm out there killing, hotting, helping, supporting~ it's fun so far (i know at T3 we'll taper off..) and enjoying it :D so i'm in NO hurry to level like i normally am~

阿哥ken is back too which is great as well and it was fun to catch up with him and help him arrange stuff for his new flat~ so glad he's here!

i've been sick since monday :( it turns out that i have a fever!

to explain it all, i had a terrible headache over the weekend and took lots of tylenol and pain meds (which should have brought down my fever, but didn't) and it didn't help =.= i thought my being so 'warm' was just due to the weather and not because i was having a fever. so, on monday, after feeling very sick, i went to see a chinese dr instead, who told me i was going to get a fever and that i needed to rest. the medicine he gave me would make all my symptoms come out (ie. fever at night, headache, pain in joints, cannot sleep due to all that etc) but i would feel better the next day. he also told me to get another day of rest or else it would take me longer to get well.. and told me to take the next day off work too (which i did). after sleeping most of the morning and taking medicine, i feel a lot better now @.@ but still very very tired and have joint pain and a slight headache. but the feeling of having a cold is mostly gone and i think i'm not as feverish as i was this morning. i hope i get better soon.. i look like a ghost now! the dr told me to drink lots and lots of water, even when i'm not thirsty~ (2-3 litres he said @.@;;) my skin feels so dry from the constant fever... and no raw or fatty foods or chicken for me for the next few days =.=

on a side note, i heard from my friends that it'll be a T8 storm later today @.@;; i really hope not, because storms mean i'll be trapped in the house yet again and i haven't been out for so long (except to see the dr)! i hate being sick! but grats to everyone who was wishing for a day off XD hopefully you guys will get it @.@ (storm supposed to come between 4-8 pm...) and it's good to have a storm as the past few days were so hot and stuff that it seemed like the sky would explode at any time~

i got a new scarf over the weekend, which i should start wearing instead of just a cardigan when i'm at work, because i'm still getting sick even tho i'm wearing enough at work =.= i hope it'll help if i cover my neck too @.@

thanks to those who msged/called to see how i was :D i'm doing ok, just very weak and bored at home. =.= i sleep for most of the day but i can't seem to get enough rest.. it's like my body hasn't slept in a million years, sigh...

on a happy side note, i'm watching macross frontier lately :D i love macross (thanks to my brother, it was one of the first anime i watched..) and i didn't know they had a new series out (due to my being obsessed over other things haha) so it was nice to have something to watch. i just have to say i LOVE the new anime. it's not only very beautiful and really clearly following the original macross theme, it's also drawn very well with wonderful characters and interesting plot. i can't wait to see the rest of it! the HD ver on my laptop looks amazing :D thanks bro! (and fishy for watching with me XD) i got the soundtrack for the show and it's amazing as well. yoko kanno wrote the songs and i love it as usual (as i love all her work~). highly recommended!

dinner at felix~

short entry to say that i had a fabulous dinner at felix (tst peninsula) last week :D thanks for your time XD the atmosphere was nice, the view was gorgeous, and the food was really good~

i wish we took pics but i was too hungry and didnt' think to take pics until after ~_~ we had two appetizers (crab cake and wagnyu salad which were deliciousssss), and I had salmon steak as my main course~ aftewards, we sat in the bar area and had the dessert below:

the bar table was so beautiful~ it was lighted underneath with random stones scattered across~ (sorry for blurry photos, i didn't take them.. not that i'm making excuses :P)

mmmm.. i love the food at the different restaurants at peninsula~ after i go try out chesa, i would've tried all the restaurants there :D i'd post more pics but the rest of them are either blurry or too dark~

thanks again for 陪-ing me there~ i've been very bad tempered lately so i'm glad someone's not running away and making me more agitated~

i love my new z (i feel as if i'm referring to my notebook as angie's adopted kid..)! it's small, power-packed, and of course, pretty~ there's a slight 'heating up' thing on the left side, but i think it'll go away if is top using the boost mode and use normal stamina mode~ can't wait till i can upgrade the ram later on =.=

a late happy mid-autumn to everyone! my mom left today :( but luckily she'll be back again soon which is a good thing~ hope everyone had a fantastic weekend like i did :D

short entry to say that i finally got my new laptop! the vaio vgn-z16gn/b :D it's the new Z series out by vaio and i love all the changes.. the last time i got a computer was around 3-4 years ago so this update is welcome~ my sis took away the study and made it into a room for her grand piano so we're 'stuck' with using laptops here =.= oh well... at least it's compact and full of power! its actually my first time using vista on my own laptop (previously used it only on seeb's laptop) and i'm still trying to customize it @.@

here is a quick glance at it.. excuse the messy background as i took this with my phone just now in a hurry to upload it online XD~the monitor is slightly smaller (my old one was 13.3, this is 13.1) and so it appears smaller but it's not too bad. and with the hdmi support, all my HD videos are so gorgeous now! they're also using the 'mac style' keyboard with the keys sticking up (without the 'in between' parts) so it's quite nice to type on~ they fixed a lot of problems that were on my old vaio so i'm reallllly loving it so far~

thanks fishy for helping me carry it home today XD and helping me set up and stuff. i still have to go out and get the ddr3 ram for it to upgrade to 4gb @.@ when that's done, my notebook will be perfect :D

the long awaited recaps of random stuff i did over the month @.@

first of all.. i miss my mui T____________T soooo much! she's just so stupid and cute (at the same time) to be around and i got soo used to her being here for the past four months.... :( so sad and empty with my stupid mui gone (who else to talk about random stupid things with?!?!) ~ take care dear and study hard!! come back soon!!!!! i promise we'll go bbq-ing next time haha...

second: went to north point a few weeks ago for some amazing snacks (雞蛋仔 + waffle thing.. tasted soooooooo good.. crunchy on the outside, chewy on the insides! mmmm... this original store in northpoint tastes better than all the other stores) and had some amazing food with ray and muiz and etcz~ (i have to stop it with the "z" typing!) so delicious and fun! thanks for taking us ray ray XD

third: on friday last last week (or so) had a wonderful dindin with 峯峯, 妹, seeb in 九龍城 area (yummy thai food!) and then lovely dessert with them and ray ray and stan stan after :D it was great to meet stan stan for the first time (after all our 22 33 and 55 and bg etc together!!! hahah)~ he's so not what i expected in real life XD

fourth: i got lots of new toys but i can't post some of them because one of them is also a bday gift for mr tuna =.= so.. i gotta refrain from posting my "copy" of it...

fifth: I received some gifts too :D one of them being (excuse my weird arm.. i couldn't find a this bracelet off their website =.=):

thanks :heart: i love it so much XD especially since i made the bigggg mistake of losing the first one from YSL :( i'll take good care of this one for sure~

sixth: new cell phone strap :D but since my miffy cellphone strap is still "ok" (it's getting kind of 'black faced' according to several sources =.=) i've decided to hold off a bit before using it~

it's so cute T____T but i have a whole lineup of stuff to hang on my cellphone @.@ so......

Happy birthday mom XD

i've been so busy with my mom coming back and all that i haven't had time to write about zaia!

i went to macau to watch it awhile back and reallllllllllllllly enjoyed it XD for those who don't know, Zaia is the latest production by Cirque du Soleil, a famous group of performers from Montreal, at the Venetian in Macau. They're the first permanent group of performers at the hotel there, and as I've always wanted to see the show, i was really excited to go XD The official website is here~ From the website:

"ZAIA is the dream of a young girl who journeys into space on a strange, yet familiar voyage of self-discovery. As she travels, she encounters the beauty of humanity and eventually brings it back with her to share with the inhabitants of earth."

I've heard that this is the first time they've used a 3D screen on stage as well. we sat in very front row seats and although we had to look up a lot and the whole stage was harder to see, it was nice up close to see the expressions on each person's face :D i would advise those who want to see it to get seats a bit farther back as it's actually a better view of the whole production!

one note.. i absolutely ADORE the music they used... i want to grab a copy of their soundtrack but unfortunately, due to it being an ongoing NEW production, they dont' have a cd for it yet T____T can't wait till it comes out!

the venetian was very very beautiful too! at first, it felt a bit gaudy @.@ but then i got over that feeling and really was amazed by how large it was @.@

at one of the more famous (the second famous one i'd say?) porkchop place! we arrived late so by the time we got there, the most famous porkchop places' porkchop buns were all sold out @.@ this place is also famous for it's 燕窩蛋撻 which was verrry yummy XD

we went to one of our favorite porteguese restaurants on the second day before getting back on the boat to HK... and had those delicious stuffed crab shells again.. mmm T__T i miss them now!!

on a side note.. i didn't do any gambling (not at the tables anyway...) but played some slot machines (it just LOOKS so innocent! lol) and won HK$138! it's not a lot but i don't mind winning in general, even if it's a little :P reminds me of the time me and silly won money on some random trip to the states lol....

updates again XD

i went to see batman awhile back (havent' really wrote about it because so busy =.=)~ all i have to say is, it's so "dark" and quite scary at times ~_~;; and i think heath ledger really played an amazing joker... he make the character into his own, and totally transformed from the "normal" heath that we all know~ i was really scared of him lol...

i'm looking for the music to zaia.. hope i find it =.= will write about it more in detail later :D

not sleeping so well lately :( i hope i get better soon and that things change for the better @.@ i'm going to miss mui a lot when she leaves so that will be a big change.. i want to get back into doing more yoga, guitar and such though.. and hopefully gain back myself.

i need some hugs~ T___T feeling kind of blah lately...

thailand pics (and updates XD)

my trip to thailand XD pictures~~ I know some people (ie. Mr. Tuna!! XD) have seen them on my flickr, but for those that haven't, here are a few... please check out my photo album for more :D (if anyone really is interested in X number of pictures of two girls who went on their yearly trip together :P)

arrival at samui XD the airport is really different from 'normal' airports, especially since it's all open, with palm trees, beach umbrellas etc. the customs area didn't even look like one =.=;; (especially in comparison to canadian customs)

the second day, we went on a day tour/trip around samui~ (the usual touristy stuff~) we decided to do a tour so that we could get that out of the way (ie. can say we've done this stuff so we can skip it next time we go lol)~ i snapped a pic of silly again while we were waiting~
i still dont' really know what place this is called, but it was one of the stops on the tour~ it was absolutely beautiful and reminded me of Greece for some reason (although i've yet to go there ~_~..) there was nothing except sky, ocean, and two adventurous girls~ it may not look like it, but it was super super hot an the sun was literally burning =.=
after all the tour stuff, we went elephant trekking~ XD (this is really touristy lol..) it was a LOT of fun, especially since the elephant was really gentle and the area was quiet and breezy~afterwards we went to dinner at this lovely hotel.. it's called "the library", which is also the theme of the hotel. It's soo beautiful! as you can see below, the pool reflects the buildings around it perfectly~ (i wish i could stay there next time i'm at samui XD)
the next day we went snorkeling then to a lovely, lovely island (or should i say group of islands) that was around 2 hrs away~
after climbing up for over 20 mins in searing hot weather (i sweated more than i do in hot yoga lol!), we reached the top to see this breath taking view.
the islands are famous for the stretch of beach in between that's in the shape of a crescent, so literally you're in the middle of the sea, with both sides having view of the ocean~
after that, it was goodbye to samui~ look at these check in counters =.= omg.. it resembles nothing like one~
on the second day after our arrival to bangkok (not many pictures after, since it was mainly shopping lol), we went on another touristy trip: to the royal palace~
it was interesting because to go in, people must be in proper attire (ie. no sandals, females must wear dress that goes over the knees, no shorts or sneakers etc)~
needless to say, it was VERY beautiful inside.... gold, shimmering mosaics and all~
here's the one picture (well one out of two) that someone randomly took for us (a really excited HK uncle-ish type offered his assistance without us asking for it..) ~ so please ignore the weird composition and focus on us instead of the background XD

yesterday there was a tropical storm in HK, marked category 8, so we didn't have work XD a nice unexpected day off XD however, the winds were still really crazy at night, even after they made it T3, instead of T8 @.@ i've never felt like i would fly away if i opened up my umbrella the wrong way XD

tomorrow night, olympics opening night! can't wait to see the opening done by Zhang Yimou and Zhang Jigang~ a few years back on a trip to guilin with lg718's family, we saw this nightly performance directed by Zhang Yimou and it was absolutely breathtaking. i cant wait XD

also will do a (late night?) kara run on friday~ hope we'll just get better again, as we're doing this to get badges, and not armor anymore as we're mostly properly geared XD
doing 22, 33 now as well as 55 in arena as well :D i wish ara could play lock and do 22 with me! :( for our 33, i'm contemplating on whether or not i should go shadow... but we'll see XD i need gear anyway before i can really test that @.@

mystery dinner :D

an update XD

i went to Thailand from July 20 ~ 24 but i haven't had time to update or upload pictures yet but I will do that soon~

to update on other things, I went to a murder mystery dinner held at intercontinental hotel on July 25 :D (for details: look here)~ basically what happens is that you go there and eat dinner and watch as a murder unfolds around you. you're given clues and such and at the end, you get to try to solve the mystery~ it was a lot of fun and very entertaining and funny XD not many people our age were there but i think it's really worth going to if you want a dinner that's 'different' and entertaining~

i thought i had it right but i didn't :( however lg718 guessed (or as he put it "knew") the answer but just didn't submit his form =.= we could have won a prize D:
the meal was very good, and i was super super full at the end XD

afterwards, we went home and did our weekly karazhan run (which, i must say, was VERY successful, as it ended in exactly 2 hrs and 45 mins :D)~

on Saturday we went to see wall-e, which is VERY VERY CUTE, and highly recommended XD we're trying to locate a picture of a scene from the movie that had me laughing for over 10 mins but still can't find it ~_~

On June 28, day before silly's bday, we finally had a chance to meet up for dinner in tst :D as silly requested 潮州 food, we went to 潮樓 at 北京道一號 since it seemed the easiest place for everyone to go to XD (i refuse to go to causeway bay if i dont' have to.. i have yoga and japanese class there =.=)

i wasn't able to get pics from case and silly until recently (still need ones from my silly!) so these are a bit out dated XD however, it's been AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGES since i last took pics so i guess it's ok? XD

i can get my s4 pants but ... will need to keep 'fighting' tonight to keep rating high.. we keep losing to that annoying cleave type group (two shamans, rogue, warrior and mage or druid.. i forget) but they dont' seem to be getting high ratings either, which means we CAN and WILL beat them! we need to play more often.. one day a week just doesnt' cut ittttt T_T
3. its raining too much in hk =.= the thunder is not only scary, it kills internet connetions D:

so.. on july 1 (hk holiday) we went out together as a group and took some 'rare' pictures.. XD

my freiya has most of her pvp gear... just need to wait a bit longer for the calculation of our arena points and i'll have my s4 gloves, offhand and wand XD

i really like the angel wings on the back, and how i'm finally wearing that's a whole set.... (kindly ignore the misc. names on the side LOL.. they were someone's idea of a joke... =.=;;) my, look at how she's grown ; ;

with around 487 resilience, its getting a bit harder for rogues to kill me (in arena, two tried to kill me and couldn't so they grabbed their warrior to help =.=), but warriors still have a lot of things that annoy me =.= i hope we do better this week and can get even better gear so that we can really start hardcore arena @.@ i'm getting used to the me being the main tank idea now, but it really amazes each time, the lengths people would go to just to kill me @.@ one game i was solely tanking four players (i had no idea what was on me, i was just busy saving myself) and we ended up winning because of that XD

current mood: so so tired =.=

ps: we did arena last night and after 30+ games actually got a pretty good rating XD we're getting thereeee XD (i love playing arena)

I got a new phone XD

HTC diamond :D it came out in HK over the weekend, and as my old phone was slowly dying (i'm so sorry =.= i really dunno why the name faded and it reads "rada" now T_T the camera is also scratched badly, sadly, so i feel kind of guilty about it T_T..)

anyway, i've been wanting to use a smartphone for awhile since i'm too lazy to carry an agenda and i wanted to get a phone other than the iphone (everyone and their sisters/brothers/mom/cousin etc have one @.@;; or want one!) so i ended up choosing this one, on the advice of bro and lg~ i've not had time to really look at it (got it a week ago but so busy lately) but it's a lot of fun and it's really user friendly @.@ i just need to get a hang of it and i'll be set :D smsing just got faster for me (but much more obvious since i use the pen thing =.=) XD

my freiya (i wish so much i named her kaaya like i wanted lol..) is on the track of collecting a set of good healing gear... i checked at wowarmory and it didn't show a kaya on my server, so i think someone just made a chara with that name but never leveled it passed level 10 (or whatever the min. level is to show up on there...).. that makes me so pissed ~_~ anyway... just 11 more badges to get me my pve healing robe =.=... then i'm all (well mostly) set till S4 comes out and i have to farm points again~ we also almost have enough people to do 10 man instances on a weekly/daily basis @.@ so i'm really looking forward to that as well XD i will post pics =.=
i'm also proud to say that our 5v5 team actually won 3/10 games last week! lol this is an amazing feat because:
1. 4/5 of the team is NOT pvped specced OR have pvp gear (me included.. i have like 200 resilience =.=)
2. we don't plan anything ahead of time and just rush in @.@
3. we haven't played together before and our team format is not quite defined yet as we randomly just got together to die XD (priest, pally, mage, druid, rogue)

a TON of fun tho XD really really enjoy it.. i realize what it really means to be a tank priest =.=

i went to the dr last night and he told me that I have problems with my liver so it causes my stomach pain and migraines @.@ he gave me a week's worth of herbal stuff to drink and said it should help me feel better... i drank the first pack today and it's just as bitter as the medicine lg718 used to make for me -___________- i'm not looking forward to finishing this for the rest of the week D:

L'arc-en-Ciel - L'7～Trans ASIA via PARIS 2008 ～ report

i finally went to the L'Arc concert in HK on saturday May 24th!! XD

all i can say is, i'm so sad it's over =.= it's like the end of a really big sugar rush, and I can't get over that i finally had the chance to see my favorite band perform in my hometown...

the concert was unbelieveble XD fishy had managed to get really good seats for us (thanks soo much dear :heart:), so we sat in the first block A, the 10th row!! Sitting there was perfect, as we got a view of the whole stage, instead of a part of it :D

We got to Asia Expo around 6:45 (i forget now..), and lined up to buy concert goods... however, i was pretty disappointed that all they had were various older cds/dvds and tshirts and less of the more 'special' concert goods so i ended up not getting anything~ i guess what also really got me were the people who actually picked up Laruku's latest cd "Kiss" and asked "when did this come out?" =.=;; i will never line up to buy concert goods/go to a concert where i dont' know anything about the band performing!!

anyway, there were SO MANY PEOPLE walking around, it was kind of unbelievable @.@ the lineup to use the female washroom was so long, i think it would have taken about 45 mins to maybe get a chance to use it @.@;; however, it was also a lot of fun to watch the people, and how they were dressed XD I saw so many 'interesting' getups and hairstyles etc. XD

around 7:45, fishy and i lined up to go inside to our seat :D i think it was around that time i started to really get excited...

there weren't a lot of people when we first sat down, but all of a sudden, we heard a bunch of girls squealing their heads off (with one remarking "OH MY GOD, this is the best day of my life! i'm such a lucky girl!!!"), and saw MANY people (mostly girls) suddenly appearing on both sides of the aisle where we were sitting. i turned around and looked to see who appeared to cause such a big fuss and the funny thing was, i had no idea at first. then, one of the girls ran up to a guy who sat nearly directly behind me and shook his hand.. the guy replied in mandarin and after listening in on the other squealing girls, i realized he was supposed to be 大東 from 飛輪海 ... if i hadn't heard, i would have had NO IDEA since i don't keep up with boy bands or anything XD;;
to be fair though, he was a LOT cuter in real life than in the pics i googled of him to show to W who i saw lol... he was really friendly and shook hands with a lot of the girls that ran up to him~ funniest thing was, after the girls stopped harassing him, he took out his camera to snap some pics, and cameras were forbidden in the arena (they checked our bags beforehand)... haha he continued to shoot pics throughout the show, which shows that not many ppl really listen to the rules XD

after all that, the lights suddenly dimmed and the show began!! we all stood up (including mr. boyband star XD he was really excited...) and started cheering!

In between about 3-4 songs they would stop and do an MC... the cutest thing was, they had prepared and did each MC in CANTONESE.... it was absolutely the most adorable thing in the world~~~~ ::squealing:: i still make a random girly squeal each time i think back~~~ when i watched hyde in LA with raven, i remember hyde did the mc in english as well.. i wish i could hear the korean and paris versions lol XD i also wish ever so much i could get a copy of the mc and upload it for the world to hear =.= cantonese is pretty hard to speak, but they all managed to be able to be understood for most of it... XD

to be honest, i always thought ppl were just fangirling over hyde when they would say how adorable he was... but after saterday's mc by hyde (it was too difficult to stay awake/alive in the LA concert so i dont really remember what he said then.. =.= lol...), i absolutely LOVE him and find him so so so adorable.. he kept on reading his script to himself before speaking into the mike, and you could see his puzzled expression each time when the audience had no reaction~

he said two things i remember most.. one was something along the lines of:
"中國發生地震, 但係希望你o地開心" (there was an earthquake in China, but i hope you're all happy [tonight])
"我今日食o左皮蛋....我以後唔會再食皮蛋!" (i ate preserved goose egg today.. i will never eat preserved goose egg again!")

the second part was super super super adorableeeeeeeeeee because he made this gesture with his hand that was like "omg.. it was the worst thing i've ever ate in my whole life!"..he also shouted random "開唔開心啊??" and "跳!!" the whole time.. i think his cantonese was the best out of the four XD

ken was also very cute.. he had the worst pronunciation but was the most un-shy about speaking it, so although he'd say something and it didn't make sense (the audience was cheering and laughing each time), he didn't mind and laughed with us XD he also said something super hilarious... he was saying something about how he hadn't had anything to eat after arriving and so they ate really late and so he was super hungry... the screens at the sides of the arena then started showing pics of them having dinner at a chinese restaurant, and then a zoom in on a plate of 燒鴨... the camera then zooms in on the head of the duck, and ken then said something along the lines of:

"我覺得好好食, 但係我唔鍾意佢啤住我" (I think it was really delicious, but I don't like how it was staring at me)

that was absolutely hilarious!!! what made it funny was how he really spoke using HK cantonese slang "啤住我" XD!!!

i wish i could remember perfectly what everyone else said but unfortunately the above is all i can remember :( we were also lucky enough to sit in the area where streamers fell from the ceiling and so we caught them to wave back and forth like a pompom~ it was kind of cute to see 大東 also wrap one around his neck and wave it around while dancing like i was lol... he was so excited like a little kid.. it's refreshing to see a famous star act normal and down to earth~

some random pics. there were so many times when they let the audience sing.. it was really noisy so i wasn't sure if everyone was screaming the lyrics like i was (especially for "anata"), but hopefully they'll release this tour's dvd and we can hear ourselves XD

i forgot for which song, but hyde fell/slipped off the stage at one point (he was always jumping onto the speakers/amps the whole time, which i thought was dangerous ~_~;;) and i was like 'omfg... hyde nooo!!'.. not because he was hurt (he made the most ADORABLE "oops! :O!" expression in the world) but because ppl RUSHED forward to grab him ~_~;; i'm not sure if they did, but i know the scary girls behind me were pushing against my seat and trying to run me over to get to him ; ;... it was scary lol... i love hyde, but i dont' want to hurt him by grabbing him @.@;; even 大東 made a joke by pretending to climb over the seats like the other girls lol...

hyde sings a lot better than he used to and he was super super energetic the whole time! i hope i get to see laruku again someday, most likely in japan, and feel this type of atmosphere again... however, having the chance to see them in my hometown (and they were speaking cantonese too! lol) was something i was hoping for since i was 13, and their activities were just stopped because of the incident with sakura etc. etc~ at that time it would be unthinkable ... but look at how far they've come today :D

SO HAPPY i had a chance to seee this..... thanks x 1000000000000000000000 to fishy for lining up for the tickets (for over 4 hours too omg..), then finding contacts to get better seats T_T 太感動啦... (not mention, enduring my squeals and arm-grabbing each time they said soemthing/sang XD;;) next time, we will watch gackt together :P

i hope i enjoy it tons.. i'm not really feeling the excitement yet (maybe because it still seems surreal @.@;;) but i think i'll be crazy over it tomorrow XD i get to see hyde again :heart:

feeling blue-ish lately .. mostly because of all the sickness and random unsettling 'shallow sleep' :( i hope this all goes away as I take my chinese medicine and i fall back onto the path of being healthy once i start the whole 調理身體 process!
for those i haven't had a chance to talk to, I've been sick for the past month or so, taking antibiotics twice, lots of random pain medication etc. because i had an infected insect bite (LONG STORY!), then migraines, then sore throat, then more migraines, then more sore throat, then a big cold =.= it got so bad that i couldn't get well from western medicine, so i ended up taking chinese medicine (as per the advice of about a million ppl who care about me ; ; thanks~~ so touched!)... the chinese medicine made the cold symptoms come out, and thus 'cured' it... after two days of coughing, sneezing, fevers and etc. (from two weeks of cold), i finally feel better today, aside from random coughing fits now and then :D i will go back to the chinese dr after i finish the medi (which i finish later today) and hopefully i will be able to get well soon~ that's why i haven't been actively updating my blog ~_~

i stopped taking pics of myself since february.. i also haven't picked up my dslr in a long while (i'm sorry Mr. Tuna ~_~), and have also left my guitar unattended in the corner as well (sorry ben 師傅T__T).. i've also neglected a lot of things that i realize i shouldn't.. i hope i can change that and pick myself up soon!

pps: pvp in wow is awesome.. i'm having a lot more fun than i did before, although i do miss my ara dear, aly, wildie, subbie and laffie (the evil twins), nodoz and etc. from our guild, and also miss the english speaking US servers, even though there was so much crazy drama back there :(

its times like these when i miss toronto :( Spring!

Olympic torch in Hong Kong :D

a quick entry to say that i saw the olympic torch pass through XD we were notified that the area around central near our building was going to be blocked due to the torch passing through, but I didn't know we'd be able to SEE it from the 35th floor!

at around 3:30ish, we began hearing LOUD screams/cheers from the supporters @.@ Yup, we could hear the cheers from the outside, inside our office (which is an amazing feat if you think about it.. we're 35 floors above @.@;;;) and a bunch of us ran to the window just in time to see the trucks/police vehicles pass through to let the torchbearers run XD it was amazing! we can see the flame shining brightly from up so far away and you can hear/feel the excitement :D it's already ended by now but i'm super glad i was able to catch a glimpse of the torch before it leaves hk :D

i couldn't take pictures (my phone camera couldn't zoom enough :( ) so i'll post some pics taken by random people...

you can see our office building in this pic (the circular windowed building in the background)~ these people were the largest group of supporters that could be seen from the 35th floor @.@ (standing in the building near the mandarin hotel)

i had to post this because i believe he's one of the most popular HK torchbearers.. mr. andy lau XD (this was in the kowloon side, near the multicultural center in tsim sha tsui.. he was the fourth runner~)

i feel really excited about the olympics and such after seeing this event.. putting aside all the political aspects, although there were lots of protests etc. happening, i have to say that i'm really proud that an Asian country, our country, is hosting this event and we're able to witness it for ourselves. as many have said, this event should be about the athletes and just focusing on that aspect, i'm really proud :D

long weekend again XD before my updates i wanted to post some things that i got as presents but never had time to show -__-;

i apologize for the difference in quality; it was (obviously) taken with two difference cameras and i realized yesterday that my phone camera is hopelessly scratched up so therefore the horrible pictures~

牛油b (number two :( I left the first one in Japan T____T.. long story) with lindt chocolate rabbit :D (i actually have several of these.. xD)
my unnamed bunny: i loooove him/her because of the cuddliness xD

and last but not least: the thing i've been wanting to do for the past 13 years~ to watch laruku in concert! i could have flown to japan to see it but i've always hoped to see them in HK~ (now that raven's in japan, i have someone i could go with to see them with in japan :D also thanks to her that i saw hyde in LA in 2006!)

thanks for the above gifts :D i'm super super touched (waiting in line, etc etc). i hope we can get the seats exchanged to better ones... but if not it doesn't matter because the main point is that i'm able to see them in concert :D

empty your bag; bare your soul

last last week, silly told me about this art exhibit called 'chanel mobile art' that was traveling around the world and which was currently showing in Hong Kong. basically the whole structure inside and out was a piece of 'traveling' art./architecture. It was erected in the empty parking lot of the old star ferry, located right near where i work~ after figuring out that the 'free admission' was actually paid in the form of a HK$10 'service charge' to select a time slot to see the exhibit, i ordered 2 tickets and went to see it last thursday the 20th! i still had half day of leave left so after going to work for a few hours, i went to the 1:15 show with my dear fishy~

when you walk in (no cams unfortunately D:) they give you an mp3 player which plays a 30 min commentary + music which takes you thru the whole structure. i really enjoyed it because it allows you some time to see each exhibit at a good pace and the commentary guides you so that you will notice the littlest details/point of view in each exhibit~ my favorite part was the sidewalk with a reflection that showed the busy day in some apartment complexes, the giant chanel purse, and the last part, where we could pick up three postcards relating to the exhibit and where we were given a moment to write one wish on a piece of paper and tie it the branches of trees inside.

my favorite postcard is used as the title of this post: empty your bag; bare your soul which basically is an expression in french "vider son sac: dire ce qu'on a sur le coeur", used when someone reveals something that was kept secret for a long time. thinking back, this really describes me as i've definitely bared my soul and have nothing to hide.

on a related note, as i've mentioned before i've been going to yoga classes lately, with focus on hot yoga. hot yoga is, according to the instructors, like medicine; it helps heal your body mentally/emotionally/physically and although its not as enjoyable as other forms of yoga may be, it gets better the more you do it, all of which i definitely agree with. how do i know? in the last session of hot yoga that i went to on sunday, the instructor, during our last relaxed 'corpse pose', told us to release ourselves, release the emotions, stress, tensions and emotions inside us and to let go. it was then that i noticed my face was feeling really 'tight', like i was trying not to give way to something. so after hearing him say "release", i relaxed my face and was surprised to realize that i was crying. i think with by crying, i let out all the inner parts of me that i don't realize are sad or at least needs to cry, and thus 'healing' and releasing and letting go. after my shower, i felt so much better about myself and i hope i continue to feel that way!

silly~ haha thanks for letting me know about this exhibit! i hope you have a chance to go, there are a lot of it that's really 'different' but i liked it and it was a good experience :D bollywood dancing is a LOT of fun.. haha if u come visit, lets go to one of those classes and have fun! it's basically "mtv style" dancing but bollywood style~ i've never laughed so much in my life! miss you sooo much~

j9~ haha when u said 'hermione hair' i laughed and realized that your lovely thick and luxiourous hair really is like hers! (but in the best way possible!) cut ittt! i haven't regretted cutting my hair at all and i know you'll look awesome with short hair too.. maybe we can somehow convince silly to cut her longgg hair as well, especially since she wants to! miss you! hope u can come visit me soon and that i can see you soon as well~ (happy belated birthday! i hope you got my card dear)~

ara~ i wish we can play together again XD it'll be sooo much fun don't you think? i'm thinking of making a lock soon too just for fun but i still need time for it -___-;;

long time no update XD to recap my days quickly:

1. i went to a wine & chocolate tutored tasting last week and had a lot of fun! the chocolate was all from lindt and it was really interesting to learn that cognac matches those lovely hazelnut chocolate balls from lindt very very well.. mmm~ (i think this class was very dangerous; i became so full from eating chocolate xD)

2. yoga - i've been doing a loooot of yoga~ thank goodness for my colleague who does it with me because it helps when someone pushes u to do it with them and u don't cancel class etc. often! i feel my body is getting stronger too? the detox effects from hot yoga are so good! u feel really cleansed afterwards :D the meditative effects are awesome as well and i feel so so so good to come, having left my baggage of bad memories and burdens behind me further and further with each lesson~

3. WoW - i have to tell my secret: i was sucked into the game again, this time on the taiwanese servers! as the taiwanese servers are much faster, less lag and also much fewer glitches and crashes due to the first two points, they are sooo much different from the US servers. however, the biggest con is everything (and i mean everything!!) is in chinese.. and taiwanese chinese at that, so i gotta get used to it :/ i still cant get my comp to type chinese in-game which means i can't do much to get people to party with me for quests/instances (they tend to shy away from english speakers). but to be really honest, there aren't many newbs/low levels on that server and the ones i did find were... well... not as experienced as the US players were -___-; (talk about not pulling the mob to the side and not clearing the area to aggro almost everything around u!!) and there weren't too many ppl in general? so i guess that's what accounts to the low pings~ so first time i've soloed in wow~
i rolled a blood elf priest, as we wanted to try out horde side this time (i miss alliance :( it's so so so much brighter in the alliance areas lol! less death etc.). i like blood elf a lot but i miss playing my night elf druid a LOT... but at the same time, i can't myself to start a tauren ~_~;; so i decided to just try a new race :D i'd play warlock but as i hadn't played it in the english ver. before, i wanted to have a main that i knew how to play with first and get used to the chinese gamplay, then start an alt as a lock so at least i wouldn't be clueless about everything ingame... i can't imagine the horror of playing a warlock with no idea what the commands are and also having no idea what the quests are about -___-;
i'm quite disappointed at the changes in shadow priest since i last played (about two years ago?).. i wanted to go shadow priest for pvp but with the changes, i'm going to spec disc. priest for now and see how it goes. if i play my lock well, and like it, i think i'll go with lock as my main later.. but who knows? i haven't really tried pvp in wow as i left just before the pvp stuff came in so i'll have so so much to learn -___-;

and a screenie of my current chara... apologies for the bad screenshot, i just realized i hadn't taken many since i started this character~ notice all the chinese.. i only recognize my skills/spells because of playing tons in wow but the racial trait spells, the names for professions, what to do for quests are alllll in chinese so i'm confused half the time D:

nic's visit to hk :D

My dearest wifey nic came to visit in feb, and although we didn't have many chances to see each other (stupid telephone number thing T___T), we had a ton of fun when we did get to see each other :D

i miss her so much already T____T there are just some people you meet, and no matter how far apart you are and how long you haven't seen/talked, it doesn't matter; because it stays the same :D and nic is one of many of those people :D through her, i've met even more special people and so i love her even more for that :D

i was finally able to meet mio as well! as mio fanclub president, it was embarassing not to have met the lovely mio previously. well, nic braved thru the crowds of people and finally brought her out for me to meet! and all i can say is: she's even more beautiful in person!

at tong chiu; we had a last min dinner + dessert thing :D i haven't done the (^_^)v pose in awhile (haha it's just awkward now i think.. am i getting older?!?! :P):

this was taken on my mom's cell phone (to test the camera and also the inbuilt flash.. i have to say, i need to get a new cell with a better camera next time haha.. i miss the crystal clear pics!! these pics are quite good considering it's taken randomly on a phone), and as i haven't been showing ppl my new hairstyle yet, here's a pic of what it looks like..

and at a restaurant on monday (it's messier in this pic tho because it was raining outside but i posed for the pic anyway.. haha..) using flash, which is why i resemble a ghost xD

not sure about you guys but i love this hairstyle much more than my previous one (the one i cut just before CNY...).. i sometimes miss the long hair but when i look around and see all the long curly haired girls, i don't miss it anymore XD alot of people felt it was a 'waste' to have permed it and then straighten it a few weeks later (not to mention the damage D:) but i really wanted to feel comfortable with myself and i'm so glad i did it! as kenny said, this cut is a lot more 'fresh' and i feel like myself :D no longer the clueless, lost girl! (or so i hope haha) and at least my friends/family/dears are telling me they love it :D

will post more pics later of random gifts, clothing, etc. that i took during the past few weeks.. i posted pics from CNY and such in my photo album but i think there are a lot more that i haven't had a chance to post yet (dinner/drink with nic etc.). since i see nicole tomorrow, hopefully we can take more!

1, all you overseas people, please keep coming to HK to visit me~~ XD after raven's and nic's visits (i still hope i can see nic and mio when she gets back D:), i realize how much i miss you all~ i promise to treat you guys to yummy dessert if you do :D (little mui: we will bake together soon! :D)

2, after much debating (whatever .. haha more like convincing my stylist to let me straighten my hair D:) i've cut my hair again and straightened it. i love it now! feels much more like myself than the weird haircut i got pre-CNY. its a lot shorter too and i think i can go for a bit more shorter soon~ will post pics after i get some nice ones taken~ (if ever haha..)

3, there have been some problems with my phone =___=; so i've been missing some random long-d calls; i'm so sorry if you're one of the ppl who've been trying to call but who haven't been able to reach me D:

4, thanks for the random emails, msgs and comments here... i haven't been awesome at responding (i am so sorry D:) but i'm trying! i am really truly thankful for the love and warmth from you all :D

an entry about destiny.

you know it's destiny and someone is special when you meet them randomly more than 10 years ago (i think it's 13 to be exact) through someone that you also met randomly... you then go on to realize that you're the same astrology sign, have the same way of thinking, similar interests etc.; just living in opposite ends of the world (and i mean that literally). then you lose contact for several years, and you drift apart...

however suddenly one day, a few years later, you meet someone who just happens to know that person and through that link, you find that special person again! and you realize after talking again, that after all these years.. NOTHING has changed..you also realize that you may not be the bestest of friends who talk every single day and who see each other often, but there is a bond between you two that cannot be broken simply by time apart.

the finale comes when out of the blue, she happens to read read something on your blog that touches her; because she thought the exact same thing, and went through the exact same struggle, singing the same song.

the conclusion? my special dear dear friend msged me out of the blue to tell me the above.. and in the few msgs we sent back and forth, we knew what had happened to us both without need for any long-winded explanations; we just knew. i haven't been as touched as this in awhile, and i felt like bursting out in tears, although i haven't been able to cry for awhile. to know that someone out there truly really just went thru what you went thru and came to the same eventual conclusion is very very touching; no matter what has happened, you know that what you've decided is correct and that there is no need to be scared; you are never truly alone.

all i can say is thank you for your touching blog entry, especially this:

"I can so openly admit that I love her (haha) and wish with all my heart that she leads a rewarding and an amazing life. If there exists a person out there who is my other half, she would be it. :)"

i love you too! no matter how long we were not in contact, i thought of you constantly and wished the best for you.. especially now that we both have finished struggling, and the skies are no longer cloudy, it'll just get better, i know that for sure.
you are always on my mind dear :) we will always be entwined and connected in some way.

take good care of yourself! although we've never met in person (which is the most shocking part), i hope we get to do that soon~

just a short note (i'll write a long update about CNY and such later on when i have more time haha.. sorry! i need pics from ppl still!) to all my dears:

i love you all. and i know now :) i was so lost before, and didn't realize...it took a lot before i could see the whole situation clearly! i want to tell you all that i'm ok, and no longer need to worry about me... no matter where u guys are, toronto, ottawa, vancouver, japan, hk or anywhere.. i hear your cheering, i feel your support, and i see the love... and i am sooo thankful that this situation brought back my dear dear friends.

i promise now that i will not do this to myself anymore, and i realize how effortless it was.... i didn't realize that yeah it's tough but it isn't as bad as i thought it would be; it was only bad because i imagined it would be and not that it really was!

i finally have a little bit of time after my birthday to write down and post pics of everything. thanks again for all the surprises and fun and love :D

jan 28~ had a lovely bday lunch and dinner with irene and ray :D (thanks!) i was feeling a bit off that day but felt a lot better afterwards ... thanks so much!!

jan 29 ~ my lovely colleagues treated me to lunch in wanchai! :D it wasn't really a surprise, but since we hadn't tried this place before, it was a nice surprise~

at night, i went to the Agnes B le pain grille cafe in causeway bay :D the food was delicious, the atmosphere was reallllly nice, and i had a really nice time. thanks for being so sweet and taking me here! i was surprised with a lovely cake from cova (super gooey chocolaty deliciousness), for which i'm glad they didn't sing happy birthday to me.. haha...

jan 30~ my birthday XD i woke up to rain but... it was cleared away by my receiving tons of calls, starting from 12am, all the through to 9am, and also in between sms/facebook msgs/msn msgs etc. etc.. im so so touched, especially those who live millions of miles away and still remembered to take the time to wish me a happy birthday. i really really love you guys!
i went to drink tea with my mom and lg718 in the morning at a very, very lovely restaurant in Langham Hotel tst. the food was not only very very delicious, the service was perfect (my tea was never cold) and the atmosphere very private and beautiful. my favorite dish? these poor little guys that lg718 and i chewed the faces off of D: (i'm sorry!)

afterwards, lg718 and i went on a small shopping trip around tst where (unexpectedly) i actually didn't buy anything at all. after grabbing a bottle of sparkling wine, we went back to my place afterwards to rest up and stuff before dinnertime :D we took the taxi the restaurant where i was greeted by lots of happy birthdays, presents and laughter :D the dinner wasn't as amazing as it was on my sis' birthday but i enjoyed it a LOT anyway, as my mom was back to celebrate with me and i was surrounded by all the people i love best (well most of them anyway xD). my sis surprised me with an adorable birthday cake (kenny's favorite black forest! :P)~

jan 31, feb 1~ i spent the lounging away and got myself sick because of that =___=; lg718 ended up making this for me:

it doesn't actually taste as bad as it looks so thank goodness for that haha.. i felt lots better afterwards and after some rest, actually got a lot better!

I couldn't resist going to dinner that night with the rhhs crew, and so off i went to the last bday celebration of the week! i'll post pics of that later on when i get them from jon! :D

i cut my hair short and permed it on sunday... feb 3.. i'm still not used to what it looks like but hopefully i get used to it :D so far no negative comments which is good XD will post pics later if i can take good ones haha...

about 7 hours till my birthday.. i know its rather silly to be counting down at this age but it's one of the few things that i've been looking forward this month!

thanks for the cards/presents arriving in the mail and for the bday lunches and dinners which started yesterday!! i look forward to the rest of the week xD (thanks irene, ray, peg peg, april, phil, mr. tuna, silly, fishy, jay, man man etc. etc. i will properly thank everyone with pictures later on!)

just received a phone call from Mr. Postman... a birthday gift has arrived :D (but no one at home to pick it up D: hence the reason for the call)~ Along with the one I have to pick up tomorrow at central post office, this will mark my third gift... If the one that's at home right now is not mr.tuna's gift, then mr.tuna's will be the fourth gift xD so excited! not just because i'm receiving several presents but because i'm feeling the love, and how people took the time to mail things out to me; EARLY!

i really love you all :)

however, mama and papa coming back will be the biggest bday gift of all! i haven't celebrated my birthday with my family since a looooonggggg time ago~ i really need that warmth and incomparable love from them a lot.

thanks for reminding me that i have that, silly!

i went to see a chinese doctor on saturday, as my left wrist has been hurting for a long time and the bone specialist didnt find any problem :( however, once i sat down in the chair at the office, he asked me how long i've had the flu for (note, my expression was definitely: ), and listed out a bunch of symptoms i've been experiencing for several weeks now (maybe months even), just after tapping on my right wrist a few times~ apparently i have what's called "風熱" ('wind hot' in english), which was causing my night flushes/weird fevers, coughing, dizziness, stomach pain, sleeplessness, fatigue etc. Aside from a week's worth of scary soil-water (i refuse to use another word to describe it! haha) to drink, he said i should:

1. sleep earlier (i have T__T for the past week, i slept at 11:30! but just not quality sleep...)
2. dress warmly to avoid getting even more sick (i do T__T)
3. avoid eating red meats (duck, goose, lamb, beef), spicy food, fried food, stir-fried foods, most fruits, cold foods, and raw foods

you can imagine my expression when i was told that last point: (exact expression)
that's avoiding basically everything =____=;

however i really hope to get better and sleep better so i hope this all works out.. he said that after i clear up my flu/germs, he can treat my wrist which he said would take a longer time D:

it's been awhile since my last update~! lots has been happening so i haven't had much time to write here ~_~;; however, i am thankful for the support and warmth i'm receiving from a lot of my dear friends/sisters/brothers/soulmates etc. from all around the world, and i'm really feeling the love! really love you all :D i hope you can all feel me reaching out to your warmth~

i read this on ray bro's gf's blog when i was looking around after seeing their europe pics there. how many of you believe the following?

1. 沒有一百分的另一半，只有五十分的兩個人。

unfortunately, i feel as if these four points are talking about me directly! the last point seems to be one open for discussion though.. at the end, no matter if you really step out the 999 steps, at the end, i don't think anyone can accept it deep down in their hearts.
are you this type of person? to me, i think it is the experiences in life that change people drastically but at the end, the way you love, and how you view love doesn't really change all that much. i know for me my "love deeply, although may be hurt deeply" viewpoint will never change.

thanks everyone for your hugs, comments and support :D i will try my best! it really touches me when i realize how many people there are out there that care so much and how i'm reminded that i'm really not alone.. i think the silliest thing is to think u're alone when all you need to do is either pick up the phone, open up msn, or open up your email and you'll be able to reach out to those you need. thanks everyone for reminding me of that :) i am so touched!

i hope everyone has a wonderful start to their year and will work hard to fulfill their resolutions (if they made any haha...)
i promise not to disappoint those who are watching out for me and caring for me. i know i am very weak and vulnerable at times, but i also know that these parts of me are small compared to the objective, fast to cool part of me... i promise to put those two parts together so that i am not too extreme on either end.
i am thankful for those who have stepped out and showed me that i am in their thoughts and that i am very much loved! i got a million text msgs last night/this morning (till 7am.. i'm not joking.. how much energy do you guys have!!) and got a few more this afternoon and i am sooo thankful for them :)
but most of all, thanks for your call ah gor (ken)~ it cheered me up, especially since you called at OUR new year's instead of toronto! i called but the lines in toronto were messed up and i couldn't reach my parents either! haha...

anyway... a few things.

1. a new start :D i am looking forward to life no matter what has been tossed to me (yes.. dinb would say i'm a crazy person, along with the 'no need to sleep' thing...)
2. looking forward to mom and dad's visit.. thanks mom for coming back to celebrate my bday! *rubs hands in glee* i am looking forward to tons of laughter and warmth.. i miss my family so much.
3. my bday is coming up! i am really excited for some reason, although most ppl stop being excited at this age i think? haha i can still see myself telling the ppl at the office straight out how old i am when they ask me... the same way i did two years ago!
4. CNY.. first time celebrate it with whole family in hk.. i hope to eat a ton of mom's cooking and seeing lots of friends and relatives that i never get to see unless parents are here!

lg718, thank you for trying. i think i understand the situation so well, too well in fact, that i'm actually very objective about it when i talk to you. i really want everything to be smoother and everyone to be truly happy again. i am too 'happy go lucky' to be able to dwell on this type of thing for too long. no matter what it may seem like, you have taught me a lot, patience, thinking for others and about real freedom and space...i hope 2008 will be stress free for you or at least be a year where you can accomplish all that you want to...i miss your pasta and random chinese medicine tea so much! and your smile and laughter, i haven't seen or heard that in a long time.. no matter what you are facing now, please try to remember to take it simple/lightly and to remember to smile. i think the one thing i brought to you was simplicity and laughter and i hope that it is what you will have more of again in 2008. love u.. add oil!

fishy.. i cannot say how thankful i am to you. i try to tell you every day and i think words fail (for once haha...). i hope your 2008 is a good year and that you will try hard to overcome the things you want to overcome. we understand each other very very well.. so well that i really dont' need to tell you and you'll understand :) love you lots~
